I'm gonna watch Mr. McLogan's videos right at the beginning of my math classes as soon as my teacher tells us what we're gonna be learning, and I'll have learned it by the time we get to the first problem! I'll look like a genius! *Mr. McLogan you've saved my education!*
Mr Brian Mclogan, you have made one TINY mistake in problem #2. Your answer was correct, but wrong at the same time. It wasn't simplified. Here is the simplified answer -8y^6 z^3.
Thank you so much!! I’m in excel math so I’m doing 8th grade math. And I’m failing this class right now. So I could get sent back to normal math. And this helped me soooooo much. THANK YOUUUU
you made a mistake in one of your examples. you mistaken a y in the denominator for an x therefore the final answer should be -8 y exponent 6 z exponent 3
Mr.McLogan you made a mistake in your third question
The down below should be y^5
y^18-y^12=y^5
I got confused if it was an x or a y, thank you for noticing and letting me know
I like how this comment is a month old on a video from 2012
@@joshuasteiner5568 Lol, yh😂
@@brianmclogan the answer would be (-8*y^6*z^3)
@@joshuasteiner5568 Why not?

Haha, happy to help!!
I love how Mr. Mclogan has all of this down in 13 minutes and my teacher takes 75 minutes to explain all of this
Mr.McLogan has done it again
+Fabrice Saturne happy to help!
You are so talented at teaching, Teacher! I know you know this I just find it very impressive and I am so grateful for your help.
You are so welcome!
This really helped my son! You really explain it in layman’s terms.
Happy to help
Best Teacher Ever!
Your videos help me so much I was stressing over this
Hello Mr. McLogan! For the final answer in example #8, why did you choose to write the two x^2 in the the numerator instead of with the 9?
for the fourth question, cant you just flip whats inside the bracket and make the exponent positive?
im a freshman right now and i have a big quiz on exponents coming up. Lets hope this video helps!
Thank you very much sir. This helps me a lot.
You are very welcome!!
Very nice' help me make sense thanks. Cool.👍☺
Did he just write a six from middle to top. woah.
at the third equation shouldn't the y^2 be y^-2? I don't know why you would just suddenly changed its sign for no reason
I got confused on the third problem. You flip it to get the reciprocal which is fine. And then you flip it again?
mistake noted in comments.
wouldn't the third problem be 1 y^6 z^3/8 x^12 to make the -8 not negative?
yes, mistake noted in the comments
It wouldn't even be that, it would be: y^6*z^3/8, to make the -8, turn into 8, but it doesn't matter anyway if the 8 is +, or -
You saved my life.
🙌🙌🙌
I wish u were my teacher
Like Khan Academy, you also make these kind of videos and post them on a special website? Did you know Khan Academy "Sal Khan" does that!
id love math if he was my teacher😩
thank you!!!!!!!!!!
9.51 I think you changed your X to a Y in the denominator.
Why multiplying only exponents? And not he numbers?

This literally 8 years ago if he’s gonna reply it’s gonna be awsome

I am literally relearning the entire unit as we speak for the unit test tomorrow morning I will come back with an update 😈

Couldn’t you just flip the -3 and -4 on that last problem
I have a question Mr Brian why did add at the equation in the las almost in the las step instead of multipliyng? 🤔🤔🤔🥴🥴🥴🧐🧐🧐
rule of exponents power x power = power+power...... I think
👋👋👋👋
You do things differently from me
shut up kid he does it better than u
I just watched this video, I still couldn’t understand, I need help pls
What is your questions
@@brianmclogan what do we start with like give me an example
Like what’s the first step because I was so confused
Please use better lighting. It’s really straining my eyes to watch this video. Otherwise a nice review.
This was in early TH-cam (around 2012), so that's probably why there's so little lighting lol
3rd equation is wrong answer
Im not judging but I feel it's wrong as well. I got 1/8x-⁶y-⁶
I did not understand the last question.
fr he’s goin to fast like slow down
i’m sorry but like i have to stop watching ur going way to fast and not even explaining correctly
