I am in agreement, my father was the border guard commander, in the sixties, and halted his car, and refused to allow him, he was related to the chief, I started primary school there ,so its true, i know where the chief lived, it was from there my father caught his attention and wanted him to be one of his body guards but he declined nd was transfered to yakasi as commander at kokoado
So humble for being from a Royal Family. From i found out that original Royalty was from Africa, I have lost all interest in the fake one in Europe and England. They were stolen
Here are a few things to consider From the autobiography that Kwame Nkrumah penned himself He confirms he was born in Nkroful He says his father came from Nkroful and his mother is from the same tribe as his father (Nzema) Whilst he does allude to Nsuaem & Dadieso he claims his maternal line settled in Nzema hundreds of years ago He lost his notes about this lineage in the new york subway After leaving there centuries ago how did the people of Nsuaem.and Dadieso know of his existence if? No doubt over those centuries there would have been many intermarriages and they would be most likely be with the community his ancestors lived amongst (the Nzema) thus increasing the Nzema genes and lineage. Can it be certified from the time his ancestor(s) left Wassa or Aowin that the lineage was continuous and exclusively from female family members ? As Royalty for most Akan groups traditions is matrilineal! Considering he left Ghana at a tender age to study and returned to engage in political activity fighting for independence when did the kingmakers decide to seek him for enstoolment? Mindful a stool would also need to be vacant for this to happen Whilst by his own admission he has a connection with these places after so long his ancestry would be largely Nzema. Would the same be done for say a Fante whose family left Bono Manso 700 years ago who says his ancestors came from the Bonohene line ? I am not convinced by this narration. But we all like to associate ourselves with great Women & Men !
In Burchard Brentjes´ book "Anton Wilhelm Amo. Der schwarze Philosoph in Halle"(= the black philosopher in Halle), Leipzig 1976, p. 82-83, we find a genealogy that probably was written down at the beginning of the 20th century. Brentjes got that genealogy in about 1974 from Nana Efiemotwe Alibrukwo of Akonu/Nkubeam. We read that the lineage originally came from Agnafu in the Elmina district and finally reached Axim. In this genealogy, "Armoo Alimah" is a member oft the 5th generation and the son of "Arnbah". He had two sisters or brothers: "Armoo Korko" + "Armoo N´ta". Amo is said to have had four children after his return from Germany in 1747: Nuama, Arfo, Eforlan and Aihea. The genealogy ends with the 13th generation. Please note: I only can report what Brentjes wrote.
In this modern era, if your grandparents were British, you can claim British citizenship. Hence, if indeed it is true that it was his grandmother who was married into Nzemaland, then these people have every right to claim him because of the matrilinial system of inheritance practiced in this area. Also, Nkrumah might have believed in this as he nominated people from his lineage to be rule in these places. The evidence that his extended family members are still moving to these places in recent years also may support this. But it is true that if he was a nobody,......
