Te Ahu a Turanga: Manawatū Tararua Highway flyover - August 2023

This is the latest flyover of Te Ahu a Turanga: Manawatū Tararua Highway. Highlights since the May flyover include the opening of a new local road at the Ashhurst end, the start of superstructure construction on Parahaki Bridge and the the laying of the initial road surface layers in areas where earthworks is completed. Site ecologist Caitlin Lavery provides commentary for this flight, pointing out the essential work the Ecology, Environmental and Kaitiaki teams do on the project.
