    Great idea, I am so glad I did not throw out my old lamp that flexed. I will most likely make something like you did. Thanks for the idea.

      +Joseph Smith (BadAxe4U) I use this way more than my tripod. You're gonna love it! Thanks for the positive feedback!

    I was one step ahead of you... I used a lamp with a clamp already on it... thanks for sharing.

      ive seen those in the junk stores..... good find! I guess the only thing u would have to be sure of is the clamping strength vs. camera weight on those. You are going to love this. I use it when I film my videos probably 99% of the time. Thanks for the positive comment! Please share my video with your friends! Thanks!

    Great idea and I knew there was a reason I saved the clap on, goose neck LED light that the little LED's went out on!!! I will be doing this for sure to help with my videos on my TH-cam channel!

      yes! I use mine a TON when shooting vids. One of the best things I ever come up with. I just don't know why this video doesn't get a lot of hits. I thought it was going to be popular.....but goes to show that I don't have a clue sometimes on what people want to see. Thanks for the comment!

      @@PhilCrockett I know what you mean about it being more popular. A lot of times it is the key words that we put in when uploading the video. Sometimes it may be how we title the video, I know I have some videos on my channel that get over 1,000 views then some that are lucky to get 100 views! I do appreciate though this video. I have already started making mine! Juddie - J & J TOA

      let me know how it turns out. You're going to LOVE that thing. If I lost mine tonight, I'd make one tomorrow. Can't film some things without it.

    ,why use the mounting plate? You said you can weld so stick the head of that bolt with the wingnut directly in the throat of the bendy neck piece and tack it right into place. No in between plate needed.

    • @PhilCrockett
      @PhilCrockett  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I hope folks that don't know how to weld can make this. Thanks for the comment.

      HA! Good one, Majeed!!! I came up with this idea / and video, years ago, before the GoPro was popular. Thanks for bringing this to my attention! I need to modernize the thumbnail pic with a GoPro on it. I have noticed that other TH-camrs are copying my idea..... well,..... that's the name of the game it guess. I appreciate your comment, it actually made me look at my old video. Please share my video so I can scrape a little credit for this. Thanks!

    @UCxoCFIVi_DnirguBlo0mv6g - It's a really crude build, but I like it! You can make the mounting plate longer, on one end or the other, your choice, and use it to mount a light for night photography and fill shots. The gooseneck could be made stiffer by running some sort of heavy gauge solid core wire through the tube, such as coat hangers or fencing wire. Thanks for the video.

      This is one of my most useful inventions. I just can't believe it hasn't got a lot of TH-cam press over the years. I even see where some folks have copied my idea. Thanks for commenting!
