I know I don't fit the average demo for the show, yet I can't escape letting you guys know how great the show is. Saw the Undertaker's show in Boston and heard Bruce talk about it. Hilarious and fun. Thanks you guys.
I remember as a kid thinking it was Dusty Rhodes calling SummerSlam '88, until I realized it was Superstar. It just sounded like Dusty. Crazy how all these guys took a part of Graham's presentation to help make their own legendary careers.
Lol, Dusty already had his gimmick down at a time when Graham still competed under his real name in Stampede and was just going to the AWA. Get your history right, kiddo.
@@chico1680 oh by far. Bloodbath. And the finish is fantastic with Lesnar countering the tombstone into the F5. Same finish they used for the wrestlemania match but it was much more smooth. Undertaker didn't take the best F5 but when I watched that matches a kid, the way undertaker fly through the air and hits the mat like a sack of potatoes in a bloody heap I really believed that he couldn't kick out. Haha
3:03 Uh oh, is Bruce Prichard abusing substances again? 😛Conrad's expression to this is priceless. 3:16 is the phrase of the week. I should so make a song mix out of the first 7 minutes of the show.
Imagine this - Monday Night Raw is on with a PPV like card for free, Monday Night Nitro is on at the same time, a Monday night Football game with playoff implications is also on. You're in school, no job, no responsibilities. Life was so good. You wake up and before you know it you're in a living hell in 2023 and ask yourself......What happened?
It's frustrating how Bruce refuses to admit WWF didn't have a clue how to book Vader. Calling him fat on commentary is fucked up. One of the first things I learned when I was training to wrestle was you don't call attention to shit that makes your opponent look bad - IE, calling Ric Flair a "washed up old man". because if you beat him, big deal, you beat a washed up old man. If he beats you, it's even worse. To me this is the same concept, it's just another stupid idea from bad creative. RIP Vader. The best big man to ever do it. If he didn't have "it" anymore, Bruce, how come he went back to Japan in 1999 and KICKED ASS? You say he was lazy and unmotivated, well, if a prissy little primadonna like Shawn Michaels bitched and moaned and derailed my career, I'd probably not be putting in my best effort either. Come on. Oh, and a correction: Emory Hale was NOT The Wall. He was The Machine (That guy who took a dumbass dive on to the top rope to crotch himself in WCW vs DDP) The Wall was Jerry Tuite.
I just found and watched 350 Days this weekend. GREAT DOCUMENTARY. It's up there with The Resurrection of Jake Roberts and I'm an Attitude Era baby so Beyond the Mat is near and dear to my heart to buy 350 Days?? Great. Billy Graham was like the star, him and Bret. Superstar put over the young lady who donated her kidney so he could live an extra 10+ years, now he's dead. Life is spooky sometimes. RIP Superstar. Without you there might not be any Scott Steiner Math or Big Poppa Pump walking to the ring with a live tiger.
@1:28:19 What Bruce was trying to say was, when it comes to the Spanish spoken on the network, they wanted Mexican Spanish. Mexican Spanish is the most used since the majority of the Hispanic programming in America as well as the networks themselves are owned and produced by Mexican media and personal. Erik Estrada is Puerto Rican but when he did a Novela for a Mexican network, he had to learn the Mexican style, not the Puerto Rican style. You can't do the Spanish from Spain in a Mexican accent since the 2 of them are very different from each other as is all of Spanish spoken in the Americas.
lol thats a good insight by conrad about the response to gerry brisco's vignette being indicative of the attitude era "look at this nice guy taking care of his happy family... fuck him"
Small correction Emory Hail wasn't The Wall in WCW he was The Machine for that one off Thunder match vs DDP and as a sort of lower mid career toward the end of wcw
What a weird time period in the company with all this wacky shit Vince Russo was coming up with and putting on these shows. The whack pack, religion, the love shack, Sable beating up Marc Mero, Porn stars, Vaders weight exploitation, incest, trying to make Steve Williams a main event star, Vince McMahon dancing 🕺🤦♂️
Owen jumped. Couldn't take being the blue blazer anymore but he knew that if he jumped his wife wouldn't get the insurance money or money from WWE so he made it look like an accident
This isn't my quote, but it needs to be said here.
Superstar Billy Graham *walked,* so that the Hulkamania could *_run_* wild.

It took them over 2 hours to actually get to the show? Yikesssss. Thanks for the time stamps.

Didn't think they'd ever do this one but glad they are
RIP Superstar Billy Graham
Austin and dude love absolutely killed it those two months. Over the edge one in particular was so good.
Was getting scared we weren't getting an episode this week. Thanks guys
Dick Togo will always be one of the unintentional greatest name announcements in wrestling history.
You know that Turkey Tits Thompson perked up, in more ways than one, when he heard someone called Dick was gonna be on the show
Indeed
One of my favourite ppvs with a perfect main event ,one of the greatest of all time just like Backlash 2000 as another example

I thought that in 1988. I was 7 years old. @@ShadowAngel606
They need to do no mercy 02. That first hell in the cell match between undertaker and Lesnar in 02 was awesome and a bloodbath
Their best match together imo

GREAT PODCAST ONE MY FAVORITE EVENT 25 YEARS ANNIVERSARY WWF OVER THE EDGE 1998 GREAT MOMENTS MEMORIES 😍😍
Conrad + TH-cam = ad central!
One good thing about simply uploading the episode is we don’t get the very annoying “Is this live?” comments in the chat.
Bruce is on that good today

Did Bruce get his invitation to the cookout?
The cookout where I slap Dz Nutz on his grill!
I love the Austin vs Dude Love match on this show but I would've loved to see a heel Cactus Jack vs Stone Cold rivalry.
nice work guys great to have some new episodes
The Ric Flair appearance as it was laid out, would have been so awesome.
It is one of the big 'what ifs' of the era.

Bruce calling the Howard Stern audience "small" in the late 90s is laughable.

Why is there no show # (number)?
the same reason there are frequent typos in the titles - because they dont care lol
I mean goldust and Val could've worked well at odds or as a team
Just saying the fans didn’t take to it and not acknowledging Owen as a face was booked poorly is disingenuous.
Emory Hale was not "The Wall".
exactly. He was The Machine (That guy who took a dumbass dive on to the top rope to crotch himself in WCW vs DDP) The Wall was Jerry Tuite.
Rip superstar Billy Graham
I loved Stern back in the day. But I didn’t think the Wack Pack belonged in a ring.
we have to go, she smells the garlic
Absolutely wrong about Kane - there WAS an episode of Raw with DNA testing segments that PROVED Kane was the son of Paul.
Bullying is okay if you're doing it to Vader lol.

What would Paul Bearer sound like flirting with Janel Grant?
Is this the PPV where the 2 Vinces murdered Owen?
