- July 30, 2010 in Toronto, Canada. Arnel with the Ammo Band formerly known as the Zoo Band which assisted in making Arnel famous. Arnel is the lead singer of Journey. This was a benefit concert to support the street kids in the Philippines. I met Arnel backstage that evening and he is quite possibly the most humble person I have even met. Please give to the Arnel Pineda Foundation.

Dude, the reality is... Ariel 'is' a karaoke singer. Most ppl who say that have studied voice/singing.
All those "people who have studied" obviously didn't study hard enough and got knocked out by a "karaoke singer". The man can sing circles around most vocalist who have "studied" and he has sung with top artists now. I guess the "studied" vocalists weren't good enough or never got their chance. And in there lies the difference. He got the chance and nailed every singing job. That's talent and a person who worked at their craft to seize the opportunity given to them. All the "studied" vocalist had TH-cam videos also online but he was chosen among thousands. That alone should show you the actual "reality"!......unless you are one of the "studied" jaded vocalists who never got a chance.
If Journey is done with Arnel, i think other US band will running fast to hire him...can sing any song!amazing talent.

He always holds the audience in the palm of his hand with his beautiful voice and tremendous stage presence and it doesn’t matter what size the audience or what he is singing , he gives it everything he’s got. Faith molded Arnel's foundation first before giving him this BIG RESPONSIBILITY as lead singer of Journey. He experienced lots of pain, rejections, frustrations, broken family, broken relationships, lots of critisizm, he almost lost everything, etc. Arnel treasures Journey with all his life. Keeping his feet perfectly on the ground, fame never got to his head. He is always grounded. He thinks that he is just an ordinary person like us. I admire him. An inspiration to many

I guess there will always be the hardcore Journey enthusiasts, who seem to think Steve Perry was the only singer worthy of the lead singer position with Journey. Regardless of what anyone thinks, Arnel is an excellent singer and deserves credit as such. Easy to be a critic from the sideline. Very difficult to sing at that level.

You can't simply be a "knock off" at this level of vocal practice. Every expert vocalist finds their own voice. Arnel simply has a very similar vocal style to Steve Perry, and is one of the few famous countertenor's. It's not easy to emulate. He's simply alike.

I love this song. It reminds me of when I was a child and when my mother was wroth with me, I would hide under the dinner table which was attached to the wall. This was back in the 70;s. when I was a little boy, but I always remember that time, when I hear this song.
