You didn't mention the wireless phone charger under the center storage unit. It's amazing! My wife just got a new 2021 Sorrento SX Prestige W/O AWD and that's one of my favourite creature comforts. Great Review!
I traded in my Telluride for this in Canada. While we don't have the X line in the top trim, our top trim has a Hud, memory seats, rear A/C controls, spare tire, etc... I will say this negative part about it though, the safety features worked better in my Telluride. I feel the Sorento is far too sensitive. Also the Auto start/stop feature is not very well refined. The Telluride was super smooth. When the car shut off at a stop light and you hit the gas, it was absolutely seamless to start and go but the Sorento seems like there's quite a bit of lag and rough in comparison.
Right... no memory seats... what is this 1995 again?! I am with you on the Xline too... I like the look of the rear better on the non Xline... but they force it on you, if you want AWD.
Hey ben could you do a review of the gmc yukon xl and show how much room is in the third row area with seat up and also with them folded down. Looking to buy one in the future for my family hauler just not sure if I need the xl or the regular yukon
Really it just comes down to preference and styling. They are both from Hyundai Motor Group so there isn't much of a change under the hood. Althought the ride feel my vary. Unfortunately, as much as i like the exterior of the Sorento it lacks a few features. And some of them aren't as big a deal as others. It just depends on if they matter to you. (pulled this directly from the Santa Fe and Sorento brochures and also confirmed these with other car Journalist) Calligraphy vs SX Prestige (X-Line) No heads-up display No 4-Way Lumbar Driver Seat (only 2-way) No Ambient Lighting No rear heated seats No rear sunshades No Smart Park (not a biggie) No Extending Thigh Cushion for the Driver and No Memory seats.(which the memory seats were a big thing for us) I mean, some people look at those features and couldn’t care less. So, like i said, it’s really about preference. But when you consider that the pricing it’s pretty much neck and neck you could feel like you're missing out. The main thing that the Sorento has is that third row which could be a big advantage for some people. For us it came down to Design and Features. my wife and I LOVE the Sorento look but really want the interior features in the Santa Fe.
I've got the 14 sx gdi an there amazing. The panaramic roof, the power, comfort overall. Sweet rides. Could use better gas mileage but it's a turbo so screw it.
INMHO - the elephant in the room that takes away from the hestetics n ambiance of all the vehicles in the annoying over sized badging that no matter what company takes away from the look

How does it handle without AWD? I've seen many reviews stating that the torque is too much for the front wheels without AWD.

Not sure this makes sense as a three row SUV. I would rather take two rows with a bench seat and more underneath storage in the trunk.
The lower trims have a bench seat in the second row, I’m kind of sad you can’t get that in the x-line too- I like that interior color

I definitely prefer the x-line SX prestige but I like the back of the SX Prestige better. Also, wish the blue was x-line package.

I read that that took a bunch of features out of the US market one including seat memory.
I’m disappointed it doesn’t have memory seats, a hud, and that you have to get the X line if you want the SX prestige AWD.

I've seen several reviews that the traction is terrible with two-wheel drive. Stick with the all-wheel drive.
Yup lol not often you can say a vehicle has so much power it chirps all day. If you go for the turbo go awd.
