Mix the dish soap method and the heat method. Very hot dish + Warmed up glow stick. Let’s see how if it makes them brighter than the two methods separately.
I have a suggestion to something you could try, not sure if it works with glowstick. But as a child we used to pick these white flowers called Anemones and split the stalk and put each side of the stalk in different liquid food colors which would then color the petals of the flower in different colors. Could you do that with glowsticks too? would you need to mix it with water maybe? Not really sure if it is possible to do before it looses its glow. Other than that, is there any way to "recharge" a glow stick? What happens if you hit it with UV light?
Rule of thumb in chemistry, most reactions at room temp halve their time for every 10 degrees Celsius increment. If that pan was, let's say, 140 degrees hotter than room temp, it would halve the reaction time 14 times in a row. That's why it's do bright but so quick.
My mom used to put our glow sticks in the freezer after they were activated because it would make the glow last longer. How long does it take for the glow stick to stop glowing in the freezer?
I always heard that you could put glow sticks in the freezer after they start dimming & then they start working again (although not as bright or as long lasting)
Find a temperature that makes it brighter without burning it out so quickly, add dish soap, and then add the two parts together. See how bright that can get.
But definitely don't eat those ones. They are horrifyingly bitter and probably poisonous. I tasted a small drop of it once, and I immediately spit it out and washed my tongue the best I could. It was horrifyingly bitter, and the flavor lingered for several hours.
@@Zeero3846In fact, they are not poisonous. as to account that small children play with these, the manufacturers are required to make it non-toxic; just like play-doh
I was once on a camp out and a buddy of mine threw a glow stick in the fire pit. Everyone ran in their tents and I ran to grab it out (I had planned on fishing it out with a stick or something. I wasn’t going to grab it with my hand). I saw the glow stick start to melt and I ran back in my tent. The glow stick exploded and a splash of hot glow stick juice sprayed my tent. It looked like alien blood splatter. I don’t know if it was the heat or if the insides of glow sticks ate corrosive, but little holes melted into the side of the tent.
Fun fact: the reason this happens is because hot temperatures speed up chemical reactions. The same will work if you refrigerate them. It’s a similar reason people refrigerate batteries, to slow down chemical reactions so battery drains slower
We used to put them in the freezer as kids to make it last longer. Whether or not there was truth to that, I don't know. I seem to remember it working, though.
Glow stick in the cotton candy machine? Okay okay something less destructive. Freeze dried glow stick fluid and then reconstituted? How about freeze dried glow stick crumbled to be used in the cotton candy mac- Okay! Okay! I get it! Bad idea!

You can also put them in the freezer. They'll dim down to almost nothing but when you warm them back up they brighten up again.
you can also hear them up to 1 million degrees and the bright nanosecond flash of light will kill everyone in the room
@@blacknoir2404 unfunny + tankie
I’ve heard of light meal recipes, but this is on a whole other level…
Nice
I would like to see you use a ventilation mask, holy cow Nate!
Does adding 3% peroxide to the fluid after its done glowing make it glow again?
I loved these as a teen and kid
If you want to see Nate make a knife out of bone
⬇️
Great idea bro
Now you gotta do hot dish soap😂
So cool!
It looks like fire 🔥🔥
Could we get a throwback vid with you and some fire extinguisher flamethrowers

His evil smiles😭
Can glow stick fluid be used as an ink for writing?

Not sure if it's possible, but you should make edible glow sticks

Does glow stick liquid work to dye clothes glow in the dark (or under blacklight)?
Imagine how many of these they used for each take to get the right brightness of these sticks in the movie Tomb Raider with Jolie.
Nate, can we see hot glow fluid vs dish soap glow fluid brightness?
I've been messing around with glow in the dark powder and epoxy lately (gun sights). Is there anyway to enhance that?
What would happen if you put the fluid in simmering water or brought it up to the temperature instead of pouring it straight onto the hot pan

No they're non toxic
@@markylon I guess that makes sense, so likely the whole superheated liquid thing is the issue
does the Leidenfrost effect work on the fluid?

It looks like acid sizzling into the floor. Totally badass
Could you make a giant glow stick? Or perhaps a water gun that allows you to draw on the wall?
Perhaps the Leidenfrost effect with glowstick juice?
Can you may glow mist or fog?
dish soap + heat
or does peroxide speed itup
Does salt have an effect?
We put these in the firepit camping
If it's cold will it stop glowing
Ah the smell of glow sticks... Barf!!
Nice video
TRY GLOWSTICK DANCING!!! :D
i wonder if the fumes coming from your pan caused any damage
Another thing I bet could look kinda cool is a super soaker filled with hot glowstick liquid.
Yeah definitely not toxic hehe 😅😅
When i was a kid, we would splash ourselves with glow sticks and play hide and seek in the cemetary at night.
Can you make bubblegum into cotton candy?
I put 1 on a hot sheet of metal In a camp fire once and it got really bright
When I was a little kid, I used to thought they were food for astronomers lol

You have to microwave it like on that viral video so it blows up when you pull it out.
God dammit Jack!
Try Aerogel in a vacuum chamber

Yes that is true because the thermal energy in the glow stick slows down the molecules saving them for longer learned that in science
Glowstick idea: what chemicals can stop a glowstick's fluid from glowing?
Hot dish soap and glow stick🙂
I can taste this video. Anyone else chew on glowsticks till they broke as a kid?
RICK AND MORTY A 100 YEARS
Freeze
Glow sticks in the Microwave. Some kid did it and took it out and it exploded in his eyes.

"is there anything else do you wanna see me try with glow sticks"....well now you mention it...but might have to save that for only fans hahahahha
what if some one drink glowstick
Try it in a vacuum chamber and another in 100% oxygen !
Glow stick in the cotton candy machine? Okay okay something less destructive. Freeze dried glow stick fluid and then reconstituted?
How about freeze dried glow stick crumbled to be used in the cotton candy mac- Okay! Okay! I get it! Bad idea!
Why does this remind of the Tide Pods nonsense?
I wonder of your lungs are glowing after that😂
Open a tube and pour some boiling water in it
Freeze dry a glow stick
Mix colors
Drink the forbidden Kool-aid?
How about hot soap 😂
See if they'll make cotton candy
Coat the inside of a white/clear balloon with glow sticks and soap? 🤷🏻♂️ Then fill it with hydrogen and see what the pop looks like.. 😅
Will it cotron candy 💀
Next time u boil these plz wear a mask
Can you make them last longer? I like glowsticks for spelunking
Dish soap + heat
Now put it in hot soap
My brother in christ no to crap on your video but the one you broke first and ghe one you put down before the hot water was completely different.
Put it in the microwave while wearing your nice shirt 😂
Nah. They all look the same to me.
