The absolute undisputed genius of Nitin Sawhney brought me here. Again and again and again. What a gift in our lifetime to have this man expressing himself through this craft.

i love, love, love this song so much i didn't think it could get any better. But it did. I saw it with this video. The composition, the arrangement, the obvious love of the players performing thier craft. This brings it up to a whole new level - and i get to watch/listen to it another 50 times!
I discovered Nitin from a record store back in the late 2000s here in the Philippines when record stores are still thriving. I will be forever grateful to my hand for grabbing the headphone and having a listen to Nitin. His music opened a masala of beautiful sonic landscapes.

He is reciting the musical notes (like Do, Re, Mi, Fa in western music) & it might be written & not improv but I have read a lot of comments assuming there is something to be translated in his words when it is the musical notes only 🙏🏽

Every time I hear Nitin on JazzFM I get in the zone and it's time to put on the CD. Every now and then and musicians like Joe Zawinul & Wayne Shorter come along and change the face of music. I believe Nitin Sawhney is one of those rare people and I really think he will have a larger effect on a greater audience in music today than the former great musicians.
