    I enjoyed the tutorial, but the volume of the music is competing w/ the instructor's voice. Maybe tone down the music a bit? It's very distracting.

    I love your videos! you give good tips! it'a great reminder of what i saw in my class a while ago! thank you for your time and patience for filming it. I wonder if you could make a video on soldering granules? I saw one where you where soldering them on the bezel but I'm having a hard time keeping them in place and make them ''perfectly'' round. I also wonder if you could share your thoughts on soldering paste, i bought some but for some reasons it doesn't work well for me while soldering. i prefer the sheet. Never used the solder wire yet.

    I've really enjoyed your videos and I'd like to thank you for the great info. Can you do a brief video on your torch and how it is set up? I'm using a hand held torch and I don't feel like I'm getting enough heat out of it. My solder doesn't want to melt at all. Thank you!

    Hi John. Nice videos!!. Nice relaxing music, but your voice is nice and relaxing as well. I like your voice alone, it’s just harder to focus on both. But the musics is great! I really actually love it. If people are learning here, you also should also mention that people can get gemstones, including cabochons on line at places like Etsy, eBay, Instagram, fb, and many other place. Because if they had not had any jewelry making, and stone buying info at all before coming here, it sounded as tho the only places to get cabochons, ( gemstones)is at gem shows. Just suggesting. 😁 also, tools can be purchased at a few great online stores including Rio.

    I watched a video a couple days ago. It was about bezel setting a cab. The cab was uneven, the setter put some filler material in the bezel, under the stone to level it out. I didn’t mark down the name of the material. Do you know what is used for that situation? Thanks in advance.

    I have a question for you. Do you have an email address where I can send you a photo of a squash blossom that has lone Mtn turquoise in it, and a few of the stones have been broken. This piece was made by my uncle in 1973 in Tucson, Az. I want to try and fix the stones.

    Where can you get the “flat crystal plate”?

    • @DurangoSilver
      @DurangoSilver  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I purchased the block from machine shop. It is not critical though. My son uses a piece of scrap granite counter top that he purchased for a minimal fee from a granite counter top company locally. That works wonderful and is probably my suggestion. I have also use an old cutting board which is nice. A lot of times lately I am in a hurry and use my GRS flat surface bench pin. Hope this helps.
