- I saw this and knew we had to shoot it. I didn't know that Factory Five made this kit until now. Guess I've been out of it on what they do? I love the looks of this and it has power for days making just shy of 400 hp at the wheels and weighing around 2,000 lbs...and I absolutely love the murdered out look.

Not going to lie, i love the idea of being able to build your own hot rod without having to spend a fortune or chop a car that's nearing a 100 years old. AND you can build it to handle like a modern car, really cool.
Love the fact this can be built in your garage with a simple budget in mind and have all of the performance you want and pleasure 👍🏼
I agree and love that he took the time over 3 years to get it right. Especially the fitment of doors/gaps/trunk
Yeah but starting in 2022 you can no longer drive any of these vehicles anywhere on the planet. These vehicles will be confiscated and a $50,000 fine. Your tools may be confiscated and your shop cleaned of all petroleum products because you're no longer allowed to own such things. You will own nothing and you will be happy about it.

@@thecaboose6591 in Britain the change from petrol to electricity is happening, they plan on closing all gas stations in a few years. I guess all the wealthy oil industries are a little low on money and can't bail themselves out any longer.

As a life long lover of custom cars and hot rods, all I can say is...WOW! I never would've thought it, but the modern wheels go so well with the classic design of the car.

@@AutotopiaLA I think it works because the wheels are ultra modern, but have a design that vaguely resembles the spokes of the classic cars. Same with the headlights. They're also ultra modern, but made in the basic design that the cars of that era used to have. It's a fine balance that both the car and the wheels have between the original 1930s cars look and the ultra modern.
Pretty clean, I love the modern additions with the old style.

I really dig these Factory Five Hot Rods. The styling reminds me of the asphalt modifieds that ran the bullrings back in the 70’s. Great build!

Best thing about that kit is you can do either hard top or roadster. Just get the roadster windshield and you can switch it around. Pretty sweet kit. Anything factory five makes is great quality

We’ve been pulled over a couple of times and ticketed once...industrial area makes it a bit safer especially on the weekends when it’s pretty empty

Very cool, Shawn and Roman, and a kit car sort of splits the difference
between a line car and a one-off, no? I totally dig the process, like
model car building back in the day, except for big kids. And now that
all those old Fords are no longer available for next to nothing, as they
were once upon a time in California, a Factory Five build is the modern
interpretation of the original thing. And locally, here in Central
Pennsylvania, I regularly see a gent driving southbound on Rt. 316 in a
black, chopped '32 Ford. it is probably original, but maybe not, hard
to tell and always cool, whatever the origin.
These are great and I love that he took the time to build it right and drives it regularly. Very cool
Well I never thought this day would come that I actually really like a 30s ford on big wheels. I really like what you have done. I would change 1 thing and that's getting rid of those damn flowmasters.

I've been told that Factory Five Kit Cars are the
Most Complete and the Easiest to Build Kit
Cars Made. I hope so because I'm going to
build one, with the help of a few Friends that
know their stuff.
He said overall it was pretty simple although getting the fitment on doors, trunk was time consuming due to it all being fiberglass
Factory Five have a weekend build school in Howell, Michigan.
I've attended the class & learned alot about this kit car 33 Hotrod.
You should look into it, it'll definitely help with the build...

Very cool man. Exactly how I would want mine to look if I had one. It doesnt need a flashy paint job. I dig the matte finish on alot if cars. Definitely on this one. Any idea what the cost in the build was? If someone has asked already I apologize. Havrnt read the other comments yet. Another great video Shawn. Keep the great content coming.

Needs more contrast, depth and layering. Flat black on black was stylisticly old and lazy in 2014.
Wheels that are less dark would achieve more visual weight, depth and presence.
Please incorporate more shades of gun metal, charcoal, gloss black and at least a single piece of brightwork on the exterior thanks.
Frame 1:30 is a perfect colour palette to reference. Including the suspension components and the grey floor.
Additionally, a blue oval badge placed prominently in the centre of the grill would create a pleasant focal point that fortifies heritage in visual terms.
Congratulations on the mean machine but it requires an appearance fitting its attitude.

Very nice build, love the chassis and suspension! And that motor with carburetor. This could make a very nice track toy. Somehow, the wheels on these rods never fit the image, in my opinion... 🤔... But stunning job and amazing result
I agree as far as the wheels go. But its definitely a perso al thing. Steelies or Cragar SS would be my taste with higher profile rubber. Also more narrow in the front. But everything else is spot on.
I like that he broke from traditional hotrod with these wheels and tires. Seems like it would handle better

Hey Roman...instead of dialing those QA1 to hard for drag racing...try the softest settings...that way you will get some weight transfer and actually hook up. Stiff is not the way to go.

You guys should do 1970 plymouth superbird. Its actually in Cars 1 the moovie, its a really nice race car, i would like to see ford gt race a 70 plymouth.
