I jumped into the pool Sunday. Had been putting off a job because the chain was beat. I cut off my sleeves, grabbed the file and went to town. I have a lot to learn but she cuts now! Thanks BR, you are the Man.

Buckin' love you brother!!! My daughter will be 3 years old in June and she has been watching you since she was born. When you come on each day with your videos she climbs onto my lap and says Buckin' Ray.....and then watches with me. It's beautiful. My wife and son (almost 1 year old) also watch now every day. My whole family loves you. ......thank you so much for doing what you do. You are so appreciated.

Thanks so much Billy. I am having issues with some chains and this is an excellent video, excellent. I am going out into the garage and filing at 11:20pm in my underwear. No windows in the garage and everyone here is asleep. No one sees, no judgements or family members calling the health authoriities........happy filing. Love it, thanks so much.

Thanks for great tips. I’ve been trying to sharpen chains properly for years. After watching this - I’ve thrown away my file guide and sharpened free hand and wow what a diff - goes through wood like butter. My bar is cool after sawing hardwood when before it was burning hot - enough to melt the paint off the bar. Great work. Thanks, Brad

Alot of work to get that chain back in shape. But you have "the touch" ...when you make that cut at 13:20 it shows right there, the proof is in the speed & ease in which you made that cut! "Guys say I'm dragging my file back..." yeah ok! Great line!
I just discovered your videos last night...awesome stuff. I'm a log home builder from the Cariboo and I've been building since 1991. My first saw was a Husky 2100, I would wake up at night with my hands tingling from the vibration of the saw.

Love the old axes. Thought I saw an old Poulan top handle in the pile. Looked like a S25DA. Were great little saws. Not a 200T but for a 38cc saw cut pretty good. Easy to work on. Got mine out this year from the early seventies. Carb and fuel line and back in business. You are an inspiration for all seeking to make a difference in the world.

Can be done with a punch and a ball-peen hammer caveman-style ... I prefer a breaker / spinner combo ... if ya buy 100ft reels it saves ya $ in the long run !

Andy L in my locale the loops of pre-made chain run about $32 (this doesn’t include gas/time ) at dealer ... I can buy 100’ reels and make em for about $20 ... It’s also nice to be able to make “custom chains” for other model saws ... for example a guy with an echo 590 with a 20” b/c uses 70 drive links ... most STIHL and Husqvarna are 72 drivers ... having the reel and spinner allows ya to make the guy a chain and put a few $ in ur pocket ... win / win for both parties !

I went back in my bone box and looked at my old chains that I retired long ago (cuz they didn't cut). The teeth were as sharp as a razor. But the gullet was not filed...at all. I didn't have a ski jump, I had a laundry chute! Went back and got the gullets. Just practicing on those old relics and haven't cut with it yet but looking forward to seeing better results on the log. You kept pounding it in my head and I wanted to slug you for it. But now that I see what you're talking about, I want to kiss you. Thanks BBRS!

Hey Billy Ray I've been heating my home with wood for 6 years or so here in Alaska. Just recently ran across you and have already learned alot. l have been trying to find a good splitting ax for a while now just bought from the big box stores was hoping you could point me in the right direction to somthing that may perform a little better. Thanks for all the good info and looking forward to watching more.
