Considering how much time we spend walking on roads, got me to thinking.. I wish we could use resources to upgrade the roads! They could make it a community effort and give us tiers of speed buffs dependent on the road level! Also make it decay overtime, so it needs repairs (I am thinking like Death Stranding here).
This is still a good idea with mounts. Mounts suffer a speed penalty when off the road. Cool idea to add to this would be allow players to make new paths through the map that gets approved with enough votes for or against it so it could help create more direct looting routes and things of that nature. Also I know there’s fast travel but I know there’s people out there who like to enjoy the world they’re playing in and skip out on FT. Either way good idea bro even if I’m a year late to the party lol
I love guides like yours, that show an alternative way to level rather than doing everything as fast as possible. It took me about a month to get to 60 but i have only just finished doing my trade skills and reaching 600gs. I feel its about the journey rather than the destination. I hate cutting trees, so to get around that, i chopped the fallen tress instead of jumping over them to get my skill up. With Brimstone nearly here, i feel more excited for the new recipes etc and crafting new gear/weapons. Making money can be as fast or slow as you want and i found i know the market better on our server, at level 60 than i ever did early on, so i can make money doing what i find fun to do.
Luck when it applies to harvesting is not like "luck" , in terms of gathering there are actual thresholds .. you cant forget those, the different luck in new world affects things differently.. the way you describe luck in terms of gathering will apply to loot luck, but not gather luck.. its a thing and real... For harvesting as an example +1,000 Points / 10.00% Ability to harvest Tier 2 & 3 rare fiber materials +1,100 Points / 11.0% Ability to harvest Flowers from Magical Plants +1,450 Points / 14.5% Ability to harvest Tier 4 rare fiber materials +1,800 Points / 18.0% Ability to harvest Tier 5 rare fiber materials If you don't meet those thresholds you can't access the loot bucket they are in
I am coming over from ESO, and I love this Harvesting system, it's really awesome. The simple reason is you get experience and when you level high enough you get rewards. It makes it much more fun and rewarding to harvest in New World.
What would be nice is if the had Crafting or Gathering Route maps that you could buy in the AH. I like New World but the DEVS are so slow to fix Vanilla issues.
Love the video.... been totally following and watching a ton of your videos to prepare myself for jumping into New World! I have to admit, youre videos have gotten me to 30 in 2 days of completely casual and relaxed play!...... I even joined 3 other players tonight for a band in town and we pulled off a 4star Amazing performance!! We must have played like 15 songs or so...... SUPER FUN!!!!....... but I do wanna add this...... in all of your beginner videos you never mentioned that Azoth can be gained by purchasing a gathering tool of each type, that secures this buff! Now granted.... Im sure many OGs are doing just fine and dont have to worry about Azoth, but when you first get going and yer stuck outside a particular mountain, with not enough to repair, and now you cant get back safely because everything is killing you?...... Azoth is a life saver!! Now granted, of course, one can always jump back to the Inn of course..... but thats not always efficient!! After realizing that I could purchase the 3 tools with buffs on them that give me Azoth?!?!?....... holy crap!! Now if Im stuck I just go harvest a few rocks, trees, or herbs, and I can get back to town and get back to the grind SUPER EASY!!........ I just wanted to point this out cuz I think EVERY SINGLE new player should know this........ its like 1000 coin at most for all 3 tools....... very much WELL worth the investment..... even if the player NEVER goes to another level tool..... but these initial tools are SOOOOOO practical and efficient, your videos were the first thing I thought of when I learned I could purchase these :D Thank you again for everything you create for us newbs!........

The problem with the game is that farming could be more fun. Quests are the same type over and over or they would be fun. I really want to find fun things to do in the game but it's really hard once you get to level 30 or so. Expeditions are hard to find as the areas are completely dead.
Yeah. I’m very new to this game but I hit 38 today and it’s dragging now. The main story jumps in levels and makes it to where I can’t keep playing it, and the quest and missions are extremely repetitive. I’ve just been wanting to pvp but it’s dead on low level plus I don’t think it gives enough xp
Seeing your trade skills and reaching level 60 in 4 months , I'd say that most important is your free time/ time you spend in the game. I did more than that in about month or less. But I was spending A LOT of time in game approx 16-18 hours a day :P
16 or 18 hrs a day is basically drug addiction. I love video games as hobby, but 16 or 18hrs days means you neglecting something else in your life very important even if it’s subconsciously. Respectfully, you need self evaluation. Because that is very unhealthy.
I have a question. I am a new New World Player (5 hours playtime) and I wonder what are the big numbers on your equipment and weapons. So When you look at the information of an equipment you see a Big Number with a Symbol. Its not the how much defense you have but what is it?
I think you're talking about the gear score, which is a representation of the gears power, it doesn't mean it's more powerful than gear with the same number (perks and stats play a role) but it's just rated high and gives you a good indication of what to expect.
Hey All. An aside, has anyone been noticing a reduced drop rate on Tolvium with Ori farming? With my mining luck maxed, the last four days or so, I've been getting 1 Tolvium to every 6-7 Cinnabar.
I think the biggest thing I struggle with is that I like crafting, but I cannot play enough to stay ahead of the curve. When I craft things, no one ever wants to buy them and I struggle with selling raw materials cause I know I can use them later….
I'd say use the raw materials to level up, and if you can't sell them, you can at least salvage stuff to get some back. Even basic rawhide still sells because they can be upgraded to higher tier hides, so even if you grind to say, blue bags and 'waste' a ton of raw materials to get there, you can salvage everything you made up to that point and now you can make the bags that everyone will use.
It depends on what you craft. If you're into rolling over and over for weapons/armor then I think the resell value there is really weak until you roll something good. And even then it can be hard to find a buyer, even if it's a BiS piece that is worth a ton of coin. But if you're trying to sell things you craft while levelling a crafting skill, that isn't so bad if you pay super close attention to the market. Things like arrows, honing stones, and tinctures are always going to be needed and you can place buy orders for all of their components and craft them cheaper than their resell value somewhat consistently, starting at about T4. It really depends on your server and the state of the market though, and this doesn't really apply to low tier crafted items. There are almost always way too many sellers for low tier crafted items than there are buyers, so the prices suck. Sometimes the T5 items get like that too. Crafted gear obviously gives more EXP but that quickly turns into a resource/gold sink if you're not careful. So in a way what I'm saying is this game is stock market simulator for crafters unless you have the time to smack trees or ore over and over. And with raw materials, you should familiarize yourself with their prices and sell at least some of your stuff when you know it's overvalued. You can always buy it back later for your crafting.

it took me like 2 weeks to get to 60, me and my guild were the first to old territory, but those were the early days when people crashes servers with ice gauntlets. so we quit.

That’s exactly how MMOs should function casual players benefit the hardcore player and the hardcore player benefits the causal player. Modern mmo has really gotten away from that to its detriment IMO
@@gingerlovesmmos Hardcore player: being skilled, focused and well geared ( with tax money ) for 30 minutes. Please find similar to War PVE activity, so I can earn millions of gold in 30 minutes. Got all mutation sets, still not milliner. I dont mind grinding, but when I explained my WoW guild how money in NW are made, pennies for me and millions for others, they could not understand how can you favor just a few players with shower of gold for doing 30 minutes content.
@@gingerlovesmmos I get your point and logic, is all good, but folks in my company complain that they can't level their professions fast enough bcoz PVE players not gathering fast enough, so there is not enough materials for them to buy and level their professions. Something is not quite right here.
Great advice. I wouldnt say don't do anything that you don't enjoy, but I would say avoid as max as you can. Focus on your fun.

They have a dung finder now and they added some new types of quests it does get boring still but its not awful anymore
