After watching this video I have decided to buy this airbrush. I've always wanted to try airbrushing but was a little hesitant to spend a lot for the Iwata that was recommended to me by a friend. I'll buy this one to try it out. If I like it I'll get the Iwata eventually.
I bought a couple of those harbor freight compressor+airbrush deals - but all I needed was the compressors - so the air-brushes have sat on the shelf for 10 years, still in the original wrappers! Today I needed to do some airbrushing and did some "How To" videos - without problems - so it's good to hear that I inadvertently got a good deal.
Thanks for the review and the still life demo. I noticed four or five other tools that you use besides the airbrush... an eraser and a pencil and was that a Dremel with some kind of Eraser tip or a white paint marker of some sort and finally what was that towards the end which had a boxy shape and the marks you were making where light before it appeared like you were using a clear coat afterwards? Do you have any videos that show me how to paint stills like this and learn about shading and Lighting in this way?
Seems like a decent airbrush - like a cross between a Badger, a Revell and/or a Paasche. I've had an expensive airbrush from new have leaks around the aircap. Required some bees wax around the seal and threads. Don't forget the Paasche double action brushes, I've the Millennium (I use the H and MIL for clear coats, base coats, primers etc) they're coat effective, robust, easy to clean (relative to type), they'll last for years (just get one with fairly decent plating etc to start with). Decent work horses on a budget and come with chunky parts easier for a beginner to handle during clean up✌️😊👍
I am not an artist at all but do laser engrave glass and using a thinned tempera paint about 50% on the glass is what you need, getting an even coat of paint with tempera is essential. So this might be the ticket for me. Thanks for the review!😁🛫
its same as the MasterCraft i just got but it came with a nice compressor. its a bit big but if u dont need air it want just stay on like small pumps and up to 58psi
This seems to be a pretty standard design for airbrushes in that price range. My dad gave me his old one he's had for years, he never used it. Clarke airtool was the brand. I did wonder about the little screw by the trigger, but it seemed to me like it would make it into a "single action", the instructions were kinda vague. the handle on my model is closed so no quick acces to the needle.
I some one gave me this brush, I would give it away, but keep the wall hanger. I had a Badger 100 that came with that same hanger. I still use the hanger but gave the airbrush to my granddaughter.
I have this airbrush and I'm new to airbrushing. Like it so far but only one problem. Recently bent the needle and can't figure out what needle I need to replace it. I know it needs 0.35 mm needle but does it need that little ball point in the end or can it be any 0.35 mm needle?
Bruh using this for years and the avanti and they work great for base coat and batches. I find myself going back to the HF Central Pnuematic just to get er done
I have 2 and I have really really enjoyed them I airbrush on the daily so far 6 months and I have had very few issues ok for detail but not the best but who buys a 20$ gun for detail work I have used enamel paints I have use water based acrylic paint I have use the decant method used spray paint and I have put a lot of nail polish threw them in just recommend not doing nail polish and acrylics tho takes a lot of cleaning to work properly is you switch often. One or the other tho and it’s perfect
You still wreck those tiny nozzles? Needles, sure, I still damage a few every year--but it's been since the early 1990's that I've damaged a nozzle. And back then I was using only Paasche VL guns and they had brass nozzles that were relatively easy to wreck. Now I only use Olympos airbrushes, having 6 including 2 C Microns (0.23 mm) and one B model (0.18 mm). Go easy on those nozzles my man!
I'm using this airbrush for last several years (now as my second solution, for thicker paint). Coment on the cup on the end is wrong. You just need to rotate airbrush so that paint can get in syphon. Parts are mostly interchangeble with other chinese airbrushes and they can be bought on Ebay or Amazon without problems. Nozle is delicate, it can be removed but You must be carefull with thightening back as it can snap easily. Link on my review of the same airbrush: th-cam.com/video/zbVQTboQc74/w-d-xo.html
How in the living heck do you break a needle or nozzle from regular use..............No way and I have two. I just don't drop or abuse my equipment. Like exactly how would they break.
I have one of these and I love it. I use it a lot and no problems with it over the last almost 5 years I have had it.

Very nicely done. I picked up one of these, but haven’t used it yet. My intention, as you commented, was to use it for clear coat. Thanks.
it's an excellent airbrush for clear coats. great choice!

Best review I've seen, thanks, seems to be same unit as the 'Mastercraft'.
Thanks for the review. And also thanks for the reply to my top coat question.
I can't seem to reply to community comments on my tab only on a pc.
Thanks Ken!
Every single part forward of the blue anodized tail cone is a dead on knock off of a Badger 150. A pretty decent airbrush even now. It should be good!

What kind of compressor would be good for this sprayer?

haha! 🤣 Usually happens when I'm cleaning them. I'll try to do better. Great collection of airbrushes! I need to pick up an Olympos someday.

mine never worked
verry nice..
I don't think this is a viable airbrush anymore. Harbor Freight does not list it on their website and they are not restocking it at least in my area.
What size nozzle/needle does it have?
0.35
Thanks to inflation it's now over $30
At that price point there are better options. Not a jab at this video, which is great by the way.
thanks- I agree with you on this as well. Much better options for this price today
its a badger 150 clone.

Trash broke it already
