- Been grinding a LOT of Ashrah Goro and it's simultaneously such a FUN and GOOD team. Insane pressure/offense potential and snowballs like crazy. Def one of my fav char/kameo combo to play rn in MK1 and probably the best kameo choice for Ashrah overall. Hope you guys enjoy the games. Mortal Kombat 1 has been really fun to play despite all the brokenness!! PCE

I'm super happy to see her back in the series!
I grew up playing mk deception with my uncle and she was his favorite character. I wish he would've gotten a chance to see her return to the series before he passed away in 2013.
He had great taste, she was one of my favorites too.
Only thing missing from her in mk1 is the little glowing orbeez flying all over the place from her specials lol

It's crazy how Ashrah is so good no one even bothers using her dark stance stuff
What do her debuff actually do?
Her special attacks in light stance consume the dark buff adding more damage@@Gwynbobs

Having a plus projectile too good to pass up. The dark magic stack extends certain strings for combos and damage, but Goro/Sonya/Darrius/Scorpion do as well. The dark dash is only plus +1 and +2 on two strings/buttons. I incorporate the stance when I can but its not something I dwell on tbh.
@@mattc5647 Tbh it’s well worth doing if you can get it off. Some people won’t punish you for swapping in neutral. But I rlly don’t think it’s worth giving up oki to set up.
You can swap to it during the 2,1 crumple state and still get the combo after, that’s pretty much always worth doing.
Ashrah is strong with Goro, Sareena, Cyrax, Scorpian, Sonya, Frost, and Sub Zero. You definitely have a lot of Kameo flexibility with Ashrah.
Also Stryker
She's honestly probably the easiest character to play and top 5. The best buttons, easy Kameo compatibility, I say this as someone whos been playing her since preorder. 😂
@@mattc5647Raiden is 100% easiest and arguably best in the game. Ashrah is surprisingly easy though considering she’s a stance character. Applying dark stance effectively most likely adds some mastery but you honestly don’t need it for her to be super good.

I honestly don't even think of her as a stance character tbh, theres minimal difference between the stances besides the different projectile and the dark dash. I think of her more as a chores character. You get the dark stack to unlock a little more damage, a couple more special cancellable strings and a low launcher. Good thing is you dont need to complete the chores for the character to be really good.
@@mattc5647the dark stacks also do more damage when you switch back to light. n once some1 has a stack, B423 launches, B22 launches and B31 launches.
As a fellow Fujin main in MK11 and an avid watcher of yours, I was waiting to see who you’d main in MK1. Ashrah had already caught my eye but seeing that you play her now has convinced me to hit the lab with her

Ashrah is not that easy to use but still so fun and entertaining. One of my favorite fighters so far. I usually use Sonya and Stryker as her kameos
As a jade main, I appreciate Ashrah’s range! esp her F2, they’re lucky its not a mid..

cyrax is wilding 😭 i'll have to experiment with it, cool thing about ashrah is that shes pretty flexible with assists
Scorp gives combo off of anything but after trying them all i think Cyrax is the best. Combos of throw, f423 223, also meterless hard conversion from 21 (about 410 damage)

She can do standing 1,2 into db2 and when you call cyrax hold r1 attack it will be a true block string that leaves you insanely plus(they can’t armour) and the chip is dumb

Goro is a very nice kameo. I’ve been using him with Mileena and the openings you can get like making teleports and ball roll safe is nuts. I only wish he had a faster recharge rate, it feels like I can’t use him whenever I’d like to because of it.

It's kinda crazy how long Goro's assist cooldown is compared to a meta kameo like Cyrax who LITERALLY DOES EVERYTHING, combo extension, combos off of grabs, Keeps you safe, makes you plus on block when you otherwise wouldn't be, does immense chip damage but his cool down is way too short. You can only use Daryus once per round basically and all he does is give you a really mediocre combo extension? Like why is that considered so powerful they made him to be used only once per round? Cyrax needs a HEAVY nerf.
I just made the switch from li/cyrax to ashrah/scorp. This is nice inspiration to get started

ashrah and sonya is so good. can combo off most her strings. and all their combos is 36% and up. you can get a 49 percent in the corner with sonya with 1 bar

I started Studying her yesterday. Except I wanted to pair her with Scorpion or Frost. Though with Frost not sure how to approach it. Doesn't Ashrah kinda need some Kameos to do bigger damage? Though I think how her neutral works she seems to be able to open people up more and make up for what I've seen as her "ok" damage on her own especially without meter.
if you use ashrah/sonya you can get up to 42% with one bar

You should use Goros grab assist more with Ashrah too! Between his air juggle and grab you can full combo from anything Ashrah can do!

I KAMEO MOVADO !!! he makes her able to kombo on all her basic strings, plus Mavado himself and those people they try to throw projectors from the corner and people don't want to try and pressure u

Isn’t Sonya just a better cameo? Better meterless damage / conversion damage , been loving ashrah tho
sonya mostly only brings damage, goro you get similar damage BUT also plus frames, blockstrings, and throw combos

@@thr33ificationI've been testing different kameos with her, sonya is for damage, goro is for conversions same as scorpion and plus frames however with scorpion u get more health and shorter cooldown, frost and sub is to enter darkstance, so if u do a string into freeze u can then enter the stance for free, honestly choice is up to u

Nice that goro utility looks insane! How is he against zoners? Ive been maining sareena with her just for that reason especially at the higher ranks of kombat league I feel like many people can out space me w/o her
Sareena is amazing against zoners. I use her too when they are spamming Lao low hat assist :) but Goro is great when you don't have to worry about that stuff imo.

Ashrah is definitely not an easy character!, but she will win you so many fights!, it is worth learning her.
Me personally i use sonya. Can do 48 DMG with only |1 METER| 54Dmg with 2
|METERS|. She's a really fun character

I’ve been using her with scorpion, it’s pretty cool
I use Sareena (I'm a scrub, sorry) but I've picked up Ashrah. She's ridiculous. That 22 catches people like at least 70% of the time into full combo, and she's a 3 touch character like Baraka or Liu Kang or Mileena where you can just auto dial an easy combo for over 30%. Only problem with her is imo her down 1 is pretty terrible. Also, love the Carpenter Brut.

they changed that i think, you cant breaker while your kameo is on the screen or got hit out instead i believe

Why is Ashrah’s BF2 her armor move. It’s been so useless for me.
it's actually amazing!!! will show more stuff with it on stream/in later videos, but it has 2 hits of armor + can be confirmed + you can also do flash parries with cancel into punishes. the dark stance bf2 is also amazing at armoring through gaps and still getting full combo since the recovery is decent. again, gonna have to show stuff + lab gaps with it too.
@@Hayateiyes please do. I even struggle doing the input with the down addition which allows me to hit through them. Just need to practice doing the input quick enough I guess.
Bf2 hold down as long as full screen and also cancel for flash parry. Might be one of the best wakeups In the game
