1st vid ive seen of Knox in a long time..went there 82-83.. lived on campus as my dad was a teacher there.. wish you could have gone up the hill just a little more, I lived close to Beatty House. Been 40 years.
…thanks for this…graduated in 1978…after attending from Junior school in 1971…such an adventure of a time at Knox…when the chapel was first built…when we boycotted classes, burnt down the music studio and closed down the school for a few days in demonstration against the firing of a group of beloved teachers in my first year of high school in 1973…including the Noels from Trinidad and Tobago who introduced pan-Africanism in their history curriculum and cornrow braiding to even the white and Asian students to the ire of our aspiring or actual middle and upperclass parents preparing us to fit into the status quo…early inspiration for continuing Black Pride…hot pants day when senior male students would parade through the school in very short shorts with a marching band…cross country runs where we initially detoured to steal mangoes and other fruits off neighbourhood trees until our PE teachers got wise to us and began running with us…daydreaming in classes at the splendid views from our classrooms at such high elevations across rows and rows of mountains…running between classes across such a vast campus to barely make it on time to the next…and so much more great memories…sad at the loss of those dramatic huge trees surrounding the playing field…but alas the one sure thing is change…
Graduated from Knox College in 2001, graduated from Knox Community College in 2002. Taught at Knox Junior from 2002 to 2003 as a pre trained teacher. Went back in 2010 to start a Pre K programme for 2 1/2 year olds. #ProudKnoxitedoinggreatthings
Thank you sooooo much for this vlog. I graduated from Knox High in 1987. Best years of my life. So proud of my school and how it has developed. It has brought really good memories xxxx
Thank you so much for uploading this video. Went to Knox Junior in 1987- 1989. Remember Ms. Bernard, what a wonderful loving teacher. My sister & I were the only Indian kids in school. My mom & dad were doctors in the spalding hospital. Jamaica 🇯🇲 and the people of Jamaica holds a special place in my heart forever. 🙏🥰🤗

Went to Knox College as a Camping sight as a teen, the most striking memory for me is, it was quite Cold for a Tropical Country even in the mid days.

You are welcome. The past students of Knox are all over the world now.
Was Mrs Jones was your Principal?
Guess she didn't whip people with Ox Tails after 82-83..she was mean as a rattle snake
@@PrinceRecyAdventures - yes Mrs. Jones was my principal! 😊
@@paulstamme3813 - lol, I’m remember her whipping me good for not doing my homework! Lol 😆
@@Servant_of_1111 ok, I came after her in Dr Cowans era. The current principal was my math teacher at that time.
Don't forget Mr Astley Kirby helped to build ..one of the main builders
I hate that they removed so many of the threes infront of the feild.
