Just some info on Odogaron (the dog one) they're not pack hunters but more like scavengers who occasionally hunt. The modders made a mistake, though, because he does have way too many claws here. He's only supposed to have two sets of claws, his default ones and a second pair of retractable claws. The second pair allows additional cuts and more bleeding. He keeps them retracted most of the time though so he always has a sharp pair of claws for climbing.

5:41 that's kulu ya ku, it's the second large monster you fight in world, pretty clumsy chicken raptor that eats the eggs of great jagras, small monsters eggs and I believe also rathian eggs.
Edit: wigglers are small eel-like fish things that live in the coral highlands locale in monster hunter world.
I think you should complete world because you're in for a treat
2nd edit: legiana should have had a divebomb because legiana is supposed to be this elegant, EXTREMELY fast and graceful flyer and it does ambush by kind of dive-bombing you out of nowhere when you first encounter it in world. 3rd edit: first of all it's anjanath that ambushes the great jagras outside of the base in mhw, second odogaron is not near the same thing as a small jagras, jagras are these small hyena-lizard mix that live in the ancient forest and are the first monsters you hunt while odogaron is a large monster and is the apex predator of the rotten vale.

Never played Monster Hunter but have to say these creatures look amazing,mods always seem to impress me especially with their own creatures or based off creatures
I only dabbled a little bit with MH but the creatures look amazing. The Legiana has the most beautiful wings of any creature I think I've seen in any game. I especially love the way it's animated in flight, you can see the wind playing across the edges of its wings as it flies.

I wholeheartedly believe Monster Hunter has the best creature designs of all time because they incorporate aspects from real animals and blend them with fantastical elements to create unique creature that look like they could be found in a real forest or desert.
The bite attacks, especially on Rathalos and the B-52 there, seem to be part of their drinking animations from MHW. While every other attack really mirrors what they do in MHW as well for their general attacks

Nargacuga is my favorite monster. I love all the cat-dragony type ones, but Nargacuga has a special place in my heart. And on my special gaming stuff shelf, I've got a silver Rathian figure and a clear Barrioth figure :)
Same I wish that mod would cover a lot more creatures imagine playing ark with only monster hunter creatures that would be insane. Id definitely get myself a nargacuga its also one of my fav monster i remember my first fight on unite he blasted my first 2 lives before i could kill him after 30 mins. His moves are so agressive loved it. He also was in my stories 2 team always upgraded him to his better version so cool man would love to have more monster in this mod
Hey great showcase! Just started ARK and absolutely love Monster Hunter so this was great to see since I'm on PS5! Now all we need is to get every weapon's movesets as well as all the armor sets. I just want a full blend of hunting and building now that I'm aware of this.... 🥴

That "devil dog" is actually a weasel what folk lore it's based off of is Chinese if I remember correctly, and the folklore creature if I remember it's name is a blade weasel
(Dev-eel-ho) is a gluttonous bastard. He eats everything and has a rage/breath attack in the game.
(Ner-gig-aunt-ay) is an elder dragon in the game. Elderdragons are not capturable/ trappable. When his spikes on his head/wings/back break they almost immediately grow back and he uses them as projectiles.
(An-ju-nath) has a crazy jump and a few crazy bite animations. Not to mention it's fiery rage breath.
(Ode-uh-gar-ee-on) is a vicious lone hunter that has a nasty bloody scratch. It also jumps erratically from the floor to a wall behind you, then lunges.
This mod is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Thank you for the video, Axe. Pls do a series with this....that would be awesome!
This used to be a mod made by another mod dev who basically discontinued modding it seems and gave the files to this new mod dev. As the current modder has stated, he can only really add monsters already from the original mod because he himself does not know how to rip files from MHW. That also means he most likely cannot add new attacks from what it seems. I can basically confirm for everyone the rest of the potential monsters that the mod dev could add in and what their attacks would be since I've played the original mod:

Also the costumes are meant for the monsters to look like how they do in the actual MH game, because the creatures in the original mod had color regions but it seems like the mod dev removed color regions (which kinda makes abberant and costumes redundant since theres no difference now). Also the wiggler hat is something in the actual MH game, so unfortunately it probably won't be possible for him to implement other monster heads as hats.
Mod dev is also new to modding, so if the mod does stay up it'll probably improve. I've tried telling him how to fix the broken ragdoll and sleeping animations so that the whole passive tame thing isn't nessacary. Just going to say it here just in case he watches this so hopefully he'll actually see it.

GO to defaults
Uncheck use blinking.
Also give them the proper death animations afterwards.
Some of the monsters like Pukei, Nergigante, and Deviljho got "destroy on death" codes in the original mod cuz the mod dev couldn't figure out how to not make the monsters ragdolls explode and stretch across the map. Not all of them delete on death and if they don't you'll see what I mean. BUT if you fix this, REMOVE THAT CODE because it straight up deletes the creature, its inventory, and everything in it upon death even when tamed so you literally lose everything in their inventory if they die.
Also if your not going to fix them, at least make it so the monsters only tame off of their taming food, right now them having unique snacks is useless because you can passive tame them just as easily and sometimes quicker with just normal meat.
Also theres a way in the aim offset to fix the snappy head turning, forgot what its called but you either need to raise the value or decrease it can't remember.
EDIT: If anyone else who had the old mod here is wondering, yes I know tobi and diablos were in the works. But those never actually got anywhere and I think its safe to say they wont be implemented.
Hopefully the mod stays up. I also contacted them as I am very familiar with ripping from World and Rise and I would love to help provide more assets to keep updating the mod.

@@HydragonofDeath talked to a couple of them! Helped a bit with the process of ripping models and animations, so now that they can do that, hopefully they'll have the ability to make a lot more monsters.
I've also been inspired a bit, and I might take up modding myself... would love to work on some of the Rise monsters. No promised, but we'll see what I can put together ;)

I know Monster Hunter but this is the first I've seen the monsters. They look cool. The second one looks magnificent with its colors.
You should check out the games, they all have beautifully well designed monsters, some of my favorites being the graceful mizutsune or hauntingly vibrant namielle.
Deviljho is pronounced like devil joe. that is my favorite from the monster hunter universe. thank for the mod showcase. I'm downloading right now.

Quick tip: don’t watch the movie. It’s really corny and doesn’t reflect the richness of the actual games or story at all

Bazelgeuse: Bah-zel-geese (a bit of a meme in the community, this one, on how to pronounce it. But this is the way it's pronounced in MH stories 2.)

Some biology notes:
Bazelgeuse is not rocky, but "scaly". The growths on their underside are referred to as "Bazelgeuse scales", though even that is a misnomer. In reality, they are clumps of a specialized fluid that drips down from the long, tube-like organs on it's underside. When it comes into contact with air, it hardens, forming a chemical explosive that is shaken loose by the Bazelgeuse at will. These explosives combust when they are struck with enough force, and it uses these bombs to defend itself and hunt prey.
Odogaron has many claws, but it seems the mod developer screwed up a little and layered the retracted and extended models of the claws on top of each other. It actually has half the amount you saw, but still ten claws on each foot. This is because it has both a set of retractable and unretractable claws on it's feet. The retractable claws it keeps from touching the ground so that they remain sharp, and inflict bleeding on it's prey. It is not a pack hunter, and as far as I can tell, is actually quite territorial to others of it's kind. They kind a did them dirty a bit, as they're meant to be of a similar strength to Legiana.

This is a mod that my partner would totally get into playing with. He's a huge Monster Hunter fan so I may have to have him watch this. I personally have never played it before but the creatures in this mod look so good!

I believe they're all models pulled either from World, or are the Stories 2 models without the cell-shading. I'd be surprised if the mod lasts for very long
Im... fairly confident the models are not custom made by the mod dev. Same with the animations, excluding the basic bite down the monsters have which is out of place completely, and the literal neck snapping they do when looking in different directions.
Every MH mod technically "steals" models.

@@siroos_ I'm pretty certain the Nergi model is the Stories 2 one, which is why it has such lower quality textures than the rest of the monsters

My man compared an Odogaron to a Jagras lmao. I mean, once you're fighting Elder Dragons, they kinda are just bigger Jagras.
My favorite is the Nargacuga. You dont have it in the lineup, but its like a panther and bat wyvern. I also have soft spot for the Odogaron and Deviljho. F the Diablos, though (One-horned Demon King is the WORST.)

None of them pack. Kinda disappointed they didn't give the true signature moves like the other mods did. The B52 bomber needs his kamikaze move. And the hedgehog needs his spike throwing. Hopefully they stick the bubble fox in.
