    This is one of my favorite episodes. It's a real project car from a normal and reasonable guy. Some of the other videos get a little old with guys who send the car off to half a dozen high-end car restorers, and then have a bonor to tell Jay about some special screws that hold on the gas filler cap

He'd probably spend 30 minutes getting them to show him all the trick stuff that Matt did in building it. A close friend of my family is a retired CHP and he's told me about that sort of situation. Honda's S series are amazing! I remember the first time I saw an S2k, totally peeked my interest as it wasn't badged. Seeing this is like seeing a real war vet. Granddad has a story to share ;)
    Well, I m a homeless man, so budget is a never, but I live in my first Honda. A first gen CR-V I scored for $250 a year ago. It has 271xxx miles on it and dispite most the rubber being rotten/missing, shes still a spunky car. Not fast by any means, but slow now. She's kept me warm, employed, and shown me the world. I have a dream of shaking the men's hands of whom designed this car. They sort of are the reason I live so plush today.

    • @iant720
      @iant720 9 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I do agree with that but high strung bike engines are just not good for the public, they require lots of maintenance, and honestly a sport bike with 30k miles is high mileage. They need a new S2000 for sure, and I love high winding engines, if they made one for it that would rock. But a bike engine well it's made for a bike. Not lugging around a car for many more miles.

    • @jonnyspeed
      @jonnyspeed 9 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Worth it though. Even if you have to drop a new motor in every 30k miles it is still cheaper to maintain than a Porsche. Sportbikes aren't for everyone either, but Honda makes a bunch of those. Why not a car?
