Part one of putting this old bike back on the road since having a long lay up. In this video I begin the strip down, adjust the valves and rebuld/refurbuish the rear caliper.
I'm working on the same bike and color that was left uncovered in a back yard for 18 years. All I did for the brakes was disassemble and clean and went right back with original seals! That at least got me some brakes while I go through the bike, they were all locked up of course. subbed and looking forward to this series.
Good to hear you are working on a CBR, I still have the front brakes to do, still working on the back end of the bike. Will have a video of that soon. Thanks for your sub!
Hi, at 3.30 you must have JIS Japanese Industrial Standard screwdrivers, or this will happen a lot. FYI just in case you did not know. Sorry if you did. Good content so far lol. I will sub, cos I want to see more, thanks for sharing.😁
Interesting video, looking forward to the next one.
Thanks Frank, be back at it tomorrow!

Hi yes, I did use a JIS, the screw was too far gone! Thanks for watching and your sub, appreciate it 🙂
Looks a beast buddy.
Cheers Monkey, it is, built like a tank. Typical Honda of that era, made to last!
@@johndocbikerestorations831 I've never touched the big bikes. But looks amazing bud
@@monkeyroo8740 Same priciples, just on a bigger scale!
@@johndocbikerestorations831 I'll have to keep my eye out for one. Don't think it will fit on my bench though lol
@@monkeyroo8740 lol, no, you will def need a bigger bench! 🤣
