I’m trying to decide what micro Heli upgrades I do on it! Thank you! I’m definitely not the best pilot out there but enjoy the big air flying! Keep practicing, you will get there!
I'm having a heck of a time tuning the PID for this heli. even though i think i might have a bent mainshaft causing vibrations. But I'd love to see a video from you going over the PID settings and what they do.
Enjoyed this as always Jeff! A few guys are saying that the the OMP’s 1 & 2 are better which I don’t disagree with, but they are somewhat bigger than the 150 and they require additional parts and labor to fly on a Spektrum radio. Many of us have most of the Blade birds made and I know you do too. I also know your skill set kicks my respective old fart butt all over the place and I’d have to say that you have NEVER steered me wrong yet. The more accurate comparison would probably be the 120 SR which was very unstable with the flybar, the 120 S which was junk, and the 120 S2 which is actually not bad. Maybe I’m out to lunch. Wouldn’t be the first time! 😂😂
The 150 S is probably the best buying him fly Heli that blade has made. Of course the M1 and M2 are both fantastic models. Honestly you can’t go wrong in today’s world. It really just comes down to a personal preference and what do you like more than the other. Wade has it great because if you fly spektrum it is a simple bind it and go fly at no additional receivers or processes needed.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 I look for a practice machine which will be big enough to make tricks with comfort but at the same time small enough to handle crashes into grass without much damage. I was thinking about Blade 150, 180, 230. I understand that 150 probably will be most durable, but 230 attracs me with the bigger blades size. I wonder how much damage takes 230 compared to 150? Are shafts will be always bent after any crash? Also need to mention i like to fly quite low or medium RPM.
I have o degrees at mid stick way to much positive 14 degrees 8 degrees negative is there any way you no to change this without going into travel adjust thanks
I would say it definitely has better tail performance than the M1. The M1 has a problem with blowing the tail under hard collective movements no matter what you do. But the M1 is a fun little indoor flyer for sure!
I have a 150S and an ix12. I am trying to setup RPM. Looks like it has a 9 pole motor, know any way to choose 9 pole in transmitter? Only gives even number options.
curious how you managed to cram those batteries in there. I used the recommended 450 Mah 50 c Spektrum packs, and holy Hannah, have to seriously force the canopy on over that battery. I'm NOWHERE near the pilot you are. I like a model that has a nice stable hover. This one, with the 'stock setup' from the library in the radio, and it really has super sensitive collective. the slightest touch had it going for the ceiling, or falling to the floor. Went in to the tune and kinda mellowed that out a bit. (you'd probably HATE it like that! lol) Anyway, some slick flyin' man! Nice work.
Box stock versus box stock the 150S definitely performs better. I feel the 150 S is more locked in and no crazy vibrations or wobbles. After I did a bunch of upgrades to the Infusion 180 it flies fantastic now.
@@westhobbiesrc8051And in comparison to the Fusion 180 Smart? Which one is better suited for limited space backyard flying? (ca. 400m²) No hard 3D. Or should I go even smaller? Goosky S1? Infusion 120?
@@westhobbiesrc8051 its ok but I think the s2 or M2 are better. It’s basically a 180cfx combined with the 130s. I just sold mine the other day I will say it is tough
Skills to pay the bills wow Heli looks amazing especially in your hands
Thank you! I greatly appreciate that.
Really enjoy my 150s, about to upgrade the whole head assembly with some purple Rakon heli parts.
Very nice! It will look great!
I got the advanced upgrade kit on sale a while back, from rakon,I think they are on sale right now sir.
Ingot this heli love it did micro heli upgrades to bling it out wish I could fly half that good. Your flying skills are very impressive

I’d say the 150s is at the top of the list for bnf blade helis.
It is a great model for sure. I am really enjoying it!

Oooh, "best BNF" is a tall order with the Goosky S2 and OMP M2 in the mix! Still a cool little heli, that might excel in tighter spaces.
Never said “Best BNF” I said Best Blade BNF. The M2 and S2 are both fantastic helis as well. Slightly bigger but still great models.

I love the 150 S...
That’s great to hear!
Nice Flying Jeff! I prefer my 230S V1 and V2.
Thank you Larry! The 230 is a fun heli! Great practice helicopter.
Do you know if this thing have a governor? Or it doesn't matter at such high RPM?
They say it does. It’s a ESC governor

Omp m1 every day of the week. (Coming from someone who owns nearly every blade)
I’m not happy with the M1 tail performance. It will blow out every time under hard collective..
@@westhobbiesrc8051 that’s fair enough.

How would you say this stackes up to the M1 Evo?

What are your final settings forward programming?
I never fully tuned this heli. I just upped rotation rate and sold it shortly after.
The tail will definitely perform better than the m1 lol
Definitely! I was very disappointed with the M1 tail performance especially when you compare it to the M2s great tail performance.

How do you speed up the cyclic ???
In forward programming. You go under cyclic and adjust rotation rate.
Nice review Jeff

I have this heli but it left a bad taste in my mount with all the DOA batteries. Also, FIRST.
Never had any POE batteries. But Horizon will replace them if you did.
