"The UK spends all of its time attacking itself". Correct. Absolutely correct. Mr Lammy is another prime example of what is wrong in the UK, as he acts against the UK interest in giving away our security with the Chagos Islands to virtue signal. War is not about signalling virtue.

Many towns looks like Bangladesh, so why would that make the English be proud.
Our enemy is already here, it floats over everyday on the channel without 1 bullet getting fired. Putin isn’t a threat to us, our government and that last are our threat.
Why would any lad sign up to this military and go to war for that !
Anyone reading this who doesn’t understand this either lives a sheltered life or has something wrong with them.

NATO do you mean the 13 countries including the UK who payed the minimum of 2% of GDP on Defence! While 17 other countries rely on TRUMP after paying no contributions! Those who want economic bailouts, after benefiting off the backs of the 13 nations where our economies are contested to evaluate where we can create more economic growth, productivity, while countries want their cakes and eat it, without contribution the same issue occured those who joined the EU as a member state country, those who did not follow the articles of the conventions those that needed bailouts those who are heading to be part of BRICS an organisation like NATO set on destroying the British Pound and American Dollar VOTE REFORM UK!

I post most of the time in relation to the UK defences the lack of funding in line with the new technologies that threaten the UK as a nation and the people that reside within. The lack of government intervention in terms of giving the MOD what it needs to keep us Safe the same applies to our M services hands tied behind their backs, due to foreign interferences, some good and some really bad, in terms of UK economic output within our contested industries with no steel works we cannot produce tanks, planes, ammunition, the cost on food and medicine vastly imported and from BRICS nations, as we do not make of grow our own! Our Farmers are being hammered out of existance the same with our MOD, and most other government run and managed services. We rely on MI5, MI6 and our entire MOD those who we cannot contact directly, to ask for help! We can ask Trump for 75 Billion the money needed to help our MOD fight on multiple fronts, we need a political party who puts the UK, the King, and the people first!

I been saying this for twenty years.
The strangest rebuttal I had was a philosophical one that said if nuclear peace was to continue we shouldn't do anything to weaken the threat of Mutual Assured Destruction or M.A.D. In other words, having anti-missile defense was itself a threat to peace. I pointed our that other states were furiously developing anti-missile defences for themselves and had been for somewhile, and so that philosophical argument has long been defunct.
The next step in the rebuttal usually came as over exaggerated cost for developing anti-missile defences for the UK. My response was 'Why, what value do you place on our continued way of life and continued existence'. I never receive a coherent reply to that, and such conversation usually end with them calling me names.
I wish our strategic and military thinkers would speak up about the threat to peace from not matching aggressors capabilities and rebut such wishy washy spin for doing nothing.

It's not cost effective to invest in this defence, if you want to do this you just build bigger sticks as a threat to discourage the attack.
