In Florida in 60's my Dad taught me this when he taught me defensive driving. I have avoided more accidents because of this education.
The title should be " move over OR slow down"
We have a law like this in CT. The biggest problem is people not letting you move over and cars behind you doing 80 coming up on your 6. Slowing down is not an option

Agree. As long as drivers stay in their own lane, what's the problem? It's far more dangerous to force drivers to make sudden lane changes.
