I just love literary fiction! It's without a doubt my favorite thing to read! Ann Patchett is so great! Her writing is just so spot on! I also love books that jump around and have multiple POV. I can't remember if you've read A Place For Us yet but if not I really do think you would love it!! It has all of those things and an incredible family story!

I think I'm a boring reader, I like a single point of view and single timeline. That being said I'm pretty sure I don't like the literary fiction genre but I want to read more before making an official decision so I was excited to see this video pop up, I'm going to see if I can get my hands on a couple of these.

Chantel at An Intentional Life not boring at all! Maybe try The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri (it fits your preferred storytelling style!)

I enjoyed Bel Canto by Ann Patchett, but I haven’t picked up any others yet. I’ve been leaning toward The Dutch House, buuut maybe I should consider Commonwealth. That short story collection sounds fantastic. I read the short story collection The Art of Love and Techno last year and really enjoyed it and have been looking for another!

Eat Drink and Be Reading both The Dutch House and Commonwealth are both great, but I do think I liked Commonwealth more. They are both FANTASTIC on audio (though I have heard from some that Commonwealth confuses them on audio because of the shifting perspective with no “warning” aka they don’t say the characters name before the shift. This did not bother me.)

Happily Ever Esch it’s really good. It was my first short story collection, so I don’t have a lot to compare it to. It wasn’t one of my favorite books last year, but I still found it fascinating and liked the short story format.
