    In 2013, Google famously published a leading reference for establishing Objectives and Key Results as a way to align teams and set short-term goals. While some of the information is still relevant, it is time to take a fresh look at setting OKRs within your teams. This talk will help leaders abandon the dated, flawed approach to setting OKRs and enable organizational alignment in an exciting new way, suitable for 2019.
    About Whitney O'Banner

As one of the few women of colour managing engineers and designers at payments technology company Braintree, she is a diligent study of innovative leadership methods. This should be required watching for any teams adopting OKRs - those early few quarters are hard, and this really helps simplify them - nice one Whitney, loved it, and feel very lucky that I was sat in the audience to see this!

    Good talk. What is try tasks?

    * Try tasks. over individual OKRs, ensure alignment over micromanagement.
    * Focus on outcomes: getting started is hard. not pursuit perfect. focus on making progress.
    * bottoms up

    Is her T-Shirt stating an OKR? If so , what's the metric ? Is that on the back?

    Key results are not metrics. Her "improve by 75%" is the key result. The metric is "as measured by WCAG complience".
    So what she is actively saying is: Have an objective ("improve accessibility"), make the KR less demanding/explicit by removing the measure ("by 75%"), and keep the metric.

    Hey, actual useful team-level OKR ideas that aren't meant for business leaders.
