Immerse yourself in an infinite, procedurally generated world in a voxel game exclusively designed for VR. Explore, gather resources, craft in 3D and build anything you have in mind. Featuring beautiful graphics, a fully dynamic day/night cycle and dynamic weather.
    Detailed Description:
cyubeVR (pronounced Cube VR) is a virtual reality voxel game fully designed for VR.
The world in cyubeVR is entirely procedurally generated. Enter a seed or let the game generate one for you, and explore a unique and detailed infinite world that no one ever saw before.
Find your way through complex cave networks going deep into the ground, climb up huge hills to get a great view over the world or try to build yourself a way up to massive floating islands.
All of that fully optimized for VR to get you the most immersive experience possible. There are no limits how far you can travel - your unique world is infinite in size.
Gather resources in the world and use those to build anything you have in mind. Allow your creativity and imagination to run free. Design a fortress on top of a mountain, construct a bridge to connect two floating islands or dig yourself deep into the ground and work on complex underground structures.
Experience a building system exclusively optimized for roomscale VR in a way that was never seen before. You can even move blocks after you have placed them!
Thanks to roomscale VR, even have a good conscience for the workout you did while you can marvel your new creations.
In VR there is no need for any UI, menus or buttons for crafting. Just use your hands and naturally craft tools and other items directly in the world.
A FEW SPECIAL FEATURES WORTH MENTIONING:
    - Gravity Gloves! You never have to bend down or move much to reach items or tools - you can easily grab anything using gravity gloves.
    - Dynamic Weather! The weather dynamically and smoothly changes between sunny, rain and snow. And cyubeVR proabably has the best looking snow of all existing VR games!
    - Full finger tracking on the controllers that support it (Valve Index Controllers), and the closest possible approximation on other controllers (Touch Controllers, Vive Controllers).
The game automatically detects which controller you are using and adjusts the controls to optimally work with your controller, and automatically shows you the tutorial fitting for your exact controller - currently, the game has 4 different control schemes, individually designed for:
    HTC Vive Controllers
    Valve Index Controllers
    Oculus Touch Controllers
    Windows Mixed Reality Controllers
Use either Smooth Locomotion or Teleport, depending on what you prefer. You can choose between controller-oriented and head-oriented Smooth Locomotion. Snap Turning has options for both 22.5° steps and 45° steps.
    - Dynamic Picture Frames that allow you to import any custom PNG/JPG files from your PC and display them in fully resizable and movable picture frames that you can decorate the wall of your virtual house with.
    - Dual Wielding with all tools! Twice as fast, and twice the fun.
    - There's an awesome furnace in the game, fully controlled with realistic VR mechanics! No UI interaction. Put combustible items into the lower chamber of the furnace, place items to melt in the upper chamber of the furnace, use flintstones to realistically generate sparks that light up the fire, and watch it operate!
    - You can easily collect items into your inventory using the awesome vacuum bucket that can be enhanced further with magic crystals for an even stronger effect! Blue crystal energy makes the bucket suck, red crystal energy makes the bucket blow. Use sunlight to charge a crystal blue, or use moonlight to charge a crystal red.

This looks like an incredibly exciting VR game I cannot wait to paly! I can tell its a little bit like Minecraft and its got all this cool stuff with crafting tools and stuff, I'm couriouse to ask will there be any combat elements implemented to the game? Perhaps weapons or armour, possibly monsters or beasts to tame?

IMPORTANT: cyubeVR is receiving constant updates, so naturally, the official trailer will always be "outdated", since it would be too much work to create a new trailer with every major update of the game. So you should always expect the current version of the game to be much better than what you see in the most recent trailer. This trailer here was made in July 2020, cyubeVR was on Update 38 back then. By now, in January 2023, cyubeVR is on Update 58, so a lot has happened in the meantime. So since we cannot constantly spend time with updating the trailer, assume that the game is actually much prettier and contains many more features than what you see in this trailer ;)

Does look good. I tried it last year I think, I felt bored fairly quick. I think I underestimated how lazy I am, but the act of having to gather every little thing with the amount of effort required was something that seemed nicer in theory and then it hits you just how much gathering of different materials you do in games like this and if you need to spend 5 seconds chipping away at a block for some stone or whatever, that adds up! Thats just me tho.
One thing I will say that I believe would add ALOT to this game is a bit more of a living feel to the world - without much in the way of dangerous elements, I just wasnt willing to put in the time/effort to progress (if there is much to progress too, other than building things bigger)
CREDIT to you tho, you have been working away hard at this. Hope it does well for you.

    • @StonebrickStudios
      @StonebrickStudios  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Hi, thanks! If you progress further in the game, you get a *lot* more powerful tools, like the sledgehammers you see at 0:16 here in the trailer. Those allow you to break up to 30 blocks with a single hit, so they're much, much more powerful than the weak tools you start with where destroying a single stone might take 5 seconds :)
Depending on how recently you played the game, you might also not know the vacuum bucket and gravity gloves yet, those 2 features allow you to easily and very quickly collect any items without having to bend down or anything like that, so the game became a lot more convenient with those features and gathering was sped up a lot.
And dangerous elements will definitely be added to the game too :)

Came from another YT video about your game. Looked awesome over there and I read that through airlink it runs nice on the quest 2. I think by tomorrow morning I’ll be getting it because by this trailer (a year ago) it looks sick. Also looks like the development is active. I’m definitely gonna be looking forward to some challenging survival style gameplay and multiplayer mechanics in the future if there aren’t any at the moment. Can’t believe this is years old.
    Happy New Year!

Hi! No. cyubeVR runs great on Quest 1/2 when you connect it to a powerful enough PC, but native Quest support is unfortunately not possible. The Quest 1/2 are just not powerful enough to run something like cyubeVR. Once they become powerful enough with future versions, it hopefully becomes possible!

Im the last person to call something a minecraft clone, but what new stuff does this offer. I see you said that it was build with VR in mind but that doesn't equate to much if its roughly the same

    • @tinovfr
      @tinovfr 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Hi, sure cyubeVR has something in common with Minecraft like the basic principle for crafting, mining, building, and i was also such person who first thought of just another MC clone, BUT it plays and feels completely different in VR, believe me. To be clear Minecraft VR e. g. is not real VR, just a trial for a port, cyubeVR is developed from the ground up for VR with all the game mechanics, controls and that makes all the difference! The main reasons for me are:
      - the intuitive controls with your hands combined with the unique gameplay mechanics, cutting down a tree feels like using a real tool because you swing your axe with your arms, and you have to chop the logs after that, which split correctly at the point you hit the logs, the same goes for mining with pickaxe or shoveling dirt, it feels natural and that's alone is a lot of fun
      - true to scale world with the feel for size and depth of the space is fantastic, that makes your jaw drop. cyubeVR is cool mixture of a blocky world with realistic textures, deer and rabbit. The dynamic lighting, day and night cycle, different weather conditions (snow is awesome! 😍) makes all the difference vs. the always pixelated more cheesy look of MC. You are truly IN THIS WORLD!
      - the furnace another fantastic game mechanic, you mine for iron ore, coal and dye and start a complex process all with your hands, with opening hatches, using brimstones with both hands to ignite the dye and coal, putting the iron ore in the upper chamber, pulling the lever to cast the ingots (you see how the glowing melt is flowing into the form! :) )
      - the procedural world generation is amazing, there are very interesting worlds with floating isles, huge mountains, different biomes (grass, woods, desert), and it looks just fantastic in VR, more mature and realistic
      - the magical sucking bucket you can pull whenever you want is cool, you can suck in mined blocks, chopped wood or shoveled dirt, you can upgrade bucket with rare crystals, all done with your hand and you can even reverse the effect of bucket with a special crystal 😃
      - you craft the recipes with your hands and that is a much more natural and immersive approach in comparison to flat titles with mouse and keyboard and some flat slots, it feels natural to stick the blocks together, it is more fun to do the things with your hands, period.
      - building is also more fun because you walk above a wall in 30m height, feeling the height 😅, the blocks are more detailed because 0.5m size (MC 1m) and look is much more realistic and beautiful like mentioned above
      - the bow and arrow mechanics feel realistic
      - the mining experience is a blast when you hunt for the blue crystals or gold in deep caves, with your pickaxe and get the feeling of a real space, a journey through the earth
      - you have realistic objects like chest, chair, table, cooking pot which are independent from the block world and can be placed and moved and give a more realistic look to your buildings
      - you even have Alyx gloves to pull objects with a snap movement of your wrist, very intuitive and fun mechanic
      - you have the coolest looking custom blocks made by the community with glow, animated, normal mapping (currently 129)
      - you have a developer who is very active on Discord and discusses topics, ideas for further game development, a great supporting community
The overall experience in cyubeVR is much different to Minecraft, more mature and realistic look, absolutely intuitive hand controls after some time. If you play a while and got the hang for the controls you'll be fully immersed in this world, it's amazing.
This could'nt be farther away from an Minecraft clone! Please give it a try, means not just 10 min, at least a hour or two to learn the cool mechanics and then decide. Currently there is no multiplayer or survival, but the gameplay already implemented is great fun! Hope we see you soon! 😉

    • @tinovfr
      @tinovfr 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@@Space_Zippy of course, loved it from the start! Great atmosphere, game mechanics and still a lot potential in the years to come. It is one of these games which are truly built for VR. You can feel it immediately when using all the mechanics. But to get the planned survival and multiplayer (which is a high priority store.steampowered.com/news/app/619500/view/5219065345498852506) the developer needs all the support from the community, first buying the already great game or maybe join the Patreon too!
Just now the game is further optimized for 3D performance and you can have almost real world view distance. It looks amazing to see distant mountains or your own buildings on the horizon :) .The developer works with full dedication on cyubeVR!

cyubeVR runs great on Quest 1/2 when you connect it to a powerful enough PC, but native Quest support is unfortunately not possible. The Quest 1/2 are just not powerful enough to run something like cyubeVR. Once they become powerful enough with future versions, it hopefully becomes possible!

You know you can just lower the graphics a little bit I think it just handle it just fine unless if it's all the particle physics

No, the Quest 2 is unfortunately not powerful enough to be able to run it natively. It works well if you connect the Quest 2 to a good enough PC though!

Hate to break it to you but I doubt that'll happen. Next-Gen consoles maybe, but the PS4-5 don't have the kind of power to run such a graphically demanding game.

Of course! But it makes a super big difference if a game has been designed from the ground up for VR, or if VR was later added through an update/mod. You can play Half Life 2 in VR, and it's a fun game, but it won't come anywhere close to feeling as good as playing Half Life: Alyx in VR. The same applies to cyubeVR, when you play cyubeVR, it just feels very different, much more immersive and "right", because everything in the game has been designed with VR in mind.
Also, cyubeVR generally feels quite different as a game. It's roughly the same genre, yes, but it's a different game.

Hi @Lizard King just look to my answer to Carrotmaster, cyubeVR is definitely not just a Minecraft clone! But it's best if you give the game a chance if you just try for an hour or two, come to Discord if you have questions how things work (i had a lot of questions in the beginning 😅). My first jaw dropping experience was the feel for size and space in this world combined with a beautiful looking snow weather effect and later all the cool mechanics like intuitive mining, crafting, melting, building, simply fantastic!

A word of advice: Try to capture the peaceful/natural and immersive aspect of your game. Like your audio!
you should be showing it off not playing this crappy music…
