You wear your new River Kings hat on a kayak camping adventure, and have to battle late into the afternoon/early evening to find a camp site...Coincidence??? 🤣🤣🤣 Seriously enjoying the series. Ready for the next vid, already! Thanks for sharing!
@ I’m about to officially retire my old RK hat to a shelf of honor, on the set of Pine Slab Studios. It’s the hat that I wore on the Yukon trip, that included that horrendous 82 mile day! It is the one that I “baptized” in one of the Yukon Series videos. 😂 I got a new one this last merch sale, so I plan to retire this one before something happens to it.
Yeah man we have gotten wrecked by hurricanes lately. They can’t seem to get one cleaned up before another hits. Glad you figured out a camping spot. Those river camps are really nice when they aren’t wrecked.
Ahh the cicadas. I'm in georgia so very familiar. Hope you had ear plugs. heh. Beautiful. I may have to add a swamp to gulf trip to my "to be done" list. :)
I take my vacation days that I acquire each year or I lose them. I also try to do trips with a holiday on a Monday or Friday. My family knows this is what I love and they support me hiking or kayaking. Thanks for watching it. ✌️
Back in the late 1990's I put in at Lem Griffis fish camp at the west side of the Okefenokee Swamp and paddled ( canoed ) down to the Spirit of the Suwanee campground. Took 2 weeks and did not rush. I would see a nice place to camp , pull in and camp along the river. Spent two days at Big Shoals since it was so nice.
Trying to head down in April is this video from three weeks ago or was it filmed before the hurricane came through we love the river but we were concerned that it would be all tore up
@@ASTHECROWFLIESHIKING that's awesome what camp was it and the bathrooms at Dowling Park were gone before the hurricane came they were gone last year on our trip in April thanks for the reply I'll definitely be following more of your adventures the camp at Cooper's bluff is the one I'm guessing is uninhabitable it was in bad shape last year
Brad, was the wheel barrel yall used to transport gear at the campground? Surely that does not collapse small enough for someone to paddle with it. Paddle on!
@ I am interested in purchasing a canoe and do some river paddling and camping. A friend of mine just completed the Mississippi River from the head waters to the sea. I am looking at some smaller rivers to thru paddle. Thanks for all that you do for me!
Love the Suwannee River. Definitely one place I miss in Florida. 👍
Yeah, such a beautiful place Tom. Loved every minute of it. I think you traded up though. 😊✌️
Love the silence, perfect for my morning coffee.
Wow so beautiful paddling around those big old trees. The spiders in Florida are just too big! Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks so much! It was such an amazing trip! More episodes to come. ✌️
That early morning fog and mist looked cool and the water was like glass when you started out in the morning.
It was so peaceful. Loved it out there. Crow✌️
Looks like it was such a good trip! Glad your Kayak didn’t have any leaks😆
No leaks! It was an epic adventure. Thanks Debbie! Crow✌️

I thought the same thing…no camping with a River King’s hat! 😂😂😂

Seems like that hat has earned its retirement. 😂✌️
@@ASTHECROWFLIESHIKING May shoot a little video about it tomorrow,
after I get off the bus route. 😎

They were amazing! We stayed at 4 of them and I was blown away by the caretakers were amazing! What a great trip. Thanks for watching it. Crow✌️
Looks like some good paddling and great weather! The lack of campsite I am sure made it tough.
That ended up being my favorite campsite. It was an awesome trip! Thanks for watching it. Day Three on Saturday. ✌️
We did this trip a dozen times but always in the cold months and always two in a canoe. Can carry so much more gear and great food.
That is a good idea. I may do it again that way. Thanks for watching it. Crow✌️

The sounds was deafening…but beautiful as well. 😊✌️
What a job you must have to be able to take the time off and the travel you do! Not to mention the time away from family. Good on ya my man.
I take my vacation days that I acquire each year or I lose them. I also try to do trips with a holiday on a Monday or Friday. My family knows this is what I love and they support me hiking or kayaking. Thanks for watching it. ✌️
@ must be NASA
Yes, I am an astronaut 😂✌️
@ well I suppose I retired many years before I could meet you there. But you may remember, or learned of my Mars mission.
😂😂😂
Those giant garden spiders (I think that’s what it was) are beautiful!! Not finding campsites has always been my fear for paddle trips. 🦑
That spider made Edgar drop his phone. It was massive. 😂😂😂
Woodferry to Holton Creek is 18.6 miles. done it many times. I absolutely love being on the Suwanee river!
It was a beautiful section. Thanks for watching it. Crow✌️
Nice that they have a portage wheel
Absolutely 💯

That is awesome! Such a wonderful river to do that. Thanks for watching the series. Crow✌️
At least you're down stream for the trip I've done hundreds of paddling trips almost all have been 50/50 down and up stream
Dang! Against that current. That is some tough paddling. Thanks for watching it. ✌️
OK at SOME point you have to film yourself getting in and out! Maybe a future trip! The Rugged Mountain Siblings request it!!
😂✌️
Just a fishing tip...take the float off the line and bump that swimbait off the bottom.
Ok, I’ll try that next time. Appreciate ya! And thanks for watching it. Crow✌️
Trolling while moving is my favorite method use a paddle tail, spinner or rapila
I may needs some of those. ✌️

We had issues with one camp. It was not habitable. But, the others were fine. Thanks for watching the video. Crow✌️

@kennethowenby2600 I think it was the one with “Slough” in the title. Sorry, I can’t remember 100%. Appreciate ya watching it! ✌️

Yes, each campground has those wheel barrels for the guest to bring up their gear. Super nice. Thanks for watching it!

@cottontalesfromthetrail5474 - Go for it my friend! You will have a blast! ✌️
Try fishing gloves with Velcro back finger neoprene for paddling works for me
I will try those. ✌️
