What's great about watching Friends in today's social culture is that you can hang out with "friends" without being on your phone/tablet and just enjoying each other. It still is possible not to take a picture of your dinner plate, check in with Facebook, selfie at the restaurant dinner table, Instagram you and girlfriends inside the ladies' restroom in front of the mirror. Life is not always about you and showing the world every move you make, but enjoying being in the moment 100%
100% agree. I love what technology has done for us in so many ways, but it's also really done a disservice to our social relationships in many ways too

I was 14 when Friends started. The show has aged ridiculously well. It's almost like time sort of stopped in the early noughties, the only thing that has really aged is the technology. Even the clothes still look good (The real early mid-90s stuff, maybe not so much). I go through phases of watching Friends every day, then not watching it for 6 months, then watching it again. Must have seen each episode 20 times and I still forget what happened. And I still find myself laughing outloud like a maniac at something I've been basically watching for 24 years now! Love it
I'd also add that some of the gay/trans jokes haven't really aged well. I don't mind them as they make sense for the times, but nowadays they make the characters look a bit mean/prejudiced while back then they were just simple jokes.

Courtney is an amazing actor....the look she had in her eyes when she was with her on screen boy friends was so convincing it seemed like she was really in love with them.

I don't think any of the cast members would have ever thought their show, that aired so many years ago, is still such a staple tv show. There's not one person I know who's never watched an episode of Friends. It's so incredible to see a show that has touched just so many people and loved by so many people

On the tapings going on a long time: I went to the season 9 finale (part 2) taping and it took 9 hours! From 2 pm to just about 11 pm for 22 minutes of TV! It was thrilling though!

What a great interview. This show was some of my favorites. It's so practical to life too. Relationship issues Ross had, Rachel, Monica losing their jobs. Joey having girl troubles, Chandler as well but marrying the woman of his dreams. Real life stuff Young adults face. In the moment you watch it, then it hits you that the character they play sounds like you and I. How to pay rent, apartment hunting. How to have good relationships with friends , family, siblings. On and on I could go but this will always be one of my favorite TV shows

I watched Friends when it first came out in the 90’s religiously and loved it. Earlier this year I watched the whole series again and loved it just as much. That’s what you call a classic.
When I was in the hospital. I was nervous every single day and night to but when friends was on it always helped me calm my nerve and I would forget about everything going on. So thank you guys ❤️
Another thing that I love about this show , is that after years this cast are still so greatfull towards the show/fandom/cast , they never get the big head , bless them

I have watched my DVD set for years and even though I don’t laugh out loud, only because I have just seen it too many times, it is just such a comforting show to have on. Even if it is just on in the background. It instantly relaxes me. It’s just this familiar comforting anti-anxiety piece of brilliance.

All the older woman in movies and TV look creepy a.f. lately; I get that whoever hires them wants them to look good. Personally I wish they all looked like themselves but older. Wrinkles don't bother me, creepy altered by surgery faces do.

Im 18 and like when i grew up friends had just ended but it was still very popular, i always thought it was overrated because i never actually watched a friends marathon rather than the occasional episode every few months or years, but a few months ago i decided to get the whole series and watch it, let me tell you its the funniest, most underrated tv hsow i have ever seen, the jokes are just so funny, and the plot is just so well done, the whole 10 season are edited and directed brilliantly , and like you dont feel its centered over one character, you see everything, and it shines a light iver each character and their life, and shows things such as mental illness, life and death, marriage and divorce, happiness and sadness..i cant even explain all the times it made me laugh or emotional ..just seeing how all the plot changed from the first to the las episodes, all the changes, over a long series and all the different scenarios that occured, in addition to all the relatable problems that happen to everyday life
To think that a show that first aired years before i was born is still popular than ever , is incredible, it litteraly doesnt get old
Just seeing the relationships between the characters and how life struck each one with success failure, kids,money,jobs ..makes me think alot about life and how strange and crazy it can be eventhough this is a tv show it really makes me feel happy to watch

I love FRIENDS! This is my medicine when I’m sad. I love the time between 1990-2004- it was the best years to me and FRIENDS is connection to that. Sometimes I’m feeling nostalgic when I realise how much everything has changed.

I literally watch friends every day, its my "wind down" in the evening. I've loved Friends since I was about 10 years old. I'm 33 now. I even wrote to them when I was about 11 and they sent me a signed picture with all their autographs. I wish to this day my mother didn't throw it out, honestly one of my most priced possessions.
Watching the cast talk about the show and the memories makes me so happy every time.
I also watch Friends everyday. It's crazy how it brightens each day, even tho I know every episode and I know what to expect. I just love it since I was a kid. Friends forever

I just finished the whole 10 seasons over the last year. I have it on in a small window when I'm doing unbelievably boring chores like mindless work related admin on the computer and frankly, it makes it a lot more tolerable. I'l give it a year or two and probably cycle it back in. A lot of people do the same. It never really gets old.

My wife & I were ‘20-somethings” when ‘Friends’ first aired. We loved it immediately. I think the genuine chemistry of the cast is one of the reasons it has aged so well. A cast of strangers who actually became friends in real life. No infighting, no diva BS, no one thinking they were the only reason the show was a hit. So many great shows are ruined by the ego of one or two cast members. We went years without watching the reruns, after it went off the air, fearing it would be one of those shows you watch many years later, and think to yourself “I actually enjoyed this crap?” But our son and DIL got into watching it on ‘Netflix’, so we recently started watching it again. It still makes us laugh. Something sorely needed these days.
