The defendant tried to look innocent and claiming he never said he would pay a penny on the vet bill from his dog's attack on another dog. Most people who have reactive dogs will promise to pay till the bill comes in. And he lied to the Animal Control about his dog's breed. And lied about not being at that park on the day of his dog's attack on another dog. He made sure to say the Animal Control officer was a female and lied again about the Dog Park. He has memory problems and forgets what he says and when confronted with the lies, he keeps lying.
Dog parks are way too sketchy and dangerous as it is, DO NOT bring toys or "play fetch" with your dog! Period. Dogs have an inate drive to resource guard, what TF did he think was going to happen. That was 100% the defendants fault.

I don't get it....taking a dog to a dog park seems much like taking a child to the playground. Although the hope is to make new friends and play nice....there's always a possibility of a spat of sorts. Not EVERYONE will play perfectly and agreeably at all times. Because there are so many dogs that are not properly trained. We stopped taking our dogs to our local park because while our dogs respond to voice commands, other owners would stand there yelling "Come here" to their dog, hoping the 50th time would be the charm! It's unfortunate that people have slipped to the point that they think obedience training = abuse, just like if you use the word "Discipline" with children it equates abuse. They lack the knowledge to understand the difference.

He got off really easy my dog got out one day and ran into my field. in the same day yes I know how it looks.. some dog bit an old lady's hand down the road she tried to Sue me for $20,000.. I'd go bankrupt and I warned her beforehand that I could not do that yet she still followed through and I knew it wasn't my dog because when he got out of his cage he ran all the way down to where the ducks are. I had alot of land and a lake.. he wanted to get those quackers. It is based on the state laws. Some states have liability laws for dogs that are stricter than others.
I was wondering that too - maybe the state law in Florida is stricter, or the fact that he said he was going to pay he was admitting guilt.

when I get a dog, I will never go to dog parks. After all these episodes, it's clear it's just a bad idea.

he's making a big problem out of nothing, usually things that happens in the dog park are normal dog activities. meaning enter at your own risk. you take your own responsible. and especially when the guy said his dog was walking up to other dogs
if u lose a pet, ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS go to animal control or the humane society and LOOK for it. The difference between a terrier and a Staffie would mean that they would tell you your dog's not there, when it was in the back. They called my Oriental Shorthair an Abyssinian X (cats....i was adopting Sasha, she wasn't lost)
No cause animal control will not be looking for the owner from tags or looking for a chip.
@@trekgirl65 yeah, we were a bit shocked by how little the Animal Control checked for microchips. They SAY they check all lost pets, and you're supposed to get a discount if your pet has been chipped, but it doesn't seem to happen very often. All the best to you!

regardless of the outcome of the case, I will say it was incredibly smart of him to be sure to actually call the number before he left and confirm that it was legitimate. Would've been a lot harder to find the guy he had given false information and it was not confirmed before parting

I’m always amazed at how little money it takes for a person to sell their integrity (assuming they have any) on national television. Apparently, for this defendants, it takes as little as $387. What an incredibly low quality human being!! He’s not just a loser today, I think that’s his life story.

I believe Lindon was framed. The plaintiff's dog wasn't leashed. If anything, the bill should be split 50/50. Marilyn got Lindon so upset, he couldn't think straight. He's not lying. I think the verdict was wrong.

He got off really easy my dog got out one day and ran into my field. in the same day yes I know how it looks.. some dog bit an old lady's hand down the road she tried to Sue me for $20,000.. I'd go bankrupt and I warned her beforehand that I could not do that yet she still followed through and I knew it wasn't my dog because when he got out of his cage he ran all the way down to where the ducks are. I had alot of land and a lake.. he wanted to get those quackers. He got off really easy my dog got out one Monday and ran into my field in the same day yes I know how it looks it's some dog bit an old lady's hand down the road she tried to Sue me for $35000 I'd go bankrupt and I warned her before I had eye contact the whole time and my dog isn't even a pitbull but she said a pitbull bit her and I lost in court so I had to go bankrupt just tell the truth guys it's easier off but I got f,ed..not every dog is guilty just cuz there a pit or are part pit..I even gave proof of the other pits down the road. Noone believed me. I'm 100 not leying at this point what do I have to loose.. I already lost everything to safe my dogs life. Literally. I hate the stigma of pits... it's just not ok
