yeah daigo had some of the most amazing moments ever with ryu. Daigo could make a bad matchup for ryu look good for ryu with just amazing reads. His success rate on his dps was ridiculous you cant even call them random.
I usually don't like Shoto character and I avoid Ryu the most since he is the godfather of all Shotos but parrying feels so satisfying even though I know people want the parry system from 3rd strike back. But I feel that even though it it is easier, the parry attempt does leave you more open if you misread. Kinda like Hisako or Kim Wu's parry in Killer Instinct thought they can't do continuous parries for each hit afterwards
v trigger 2 is so much fun when it hits, but its such a huge gamble when it misses. A big buff to v trigger 1 would help ryu a lot more than v trigger 2 right?
Ryu's OS parry for the opponents V-reversal is so good... Way too good. Lol... He's the only character that can execute it... Dunno if Alex can with his VT1 on, since I haven't seen any Alex players do it, but I could be wrong.
It's a cycle of street fighter. SF3 failed because it was too different to SF2. People also complained about SF4 being too different, so then those who liked SF4 may be put off by the more basic SF5 (and the rush job it was at first) Every game is fun in it's own way, but you can't please everyone
@@TheCyborgfrog that's one thing you're right about bro it's the same cycle over and over again I'm like 40 I played every street fighter except for the originalthis game have a history of making it easier and easier and to me that's cool cuz I remember vanilla Street Fighter online I used to take it easy on people in ranked cuz I didn't want them to quit the game 🤔 to me the more the merrier and it doesn't matter what version of Street Fighter good players will adjust facts 😎💪💯
@@ccg2301 right now I'm playing Ultra Street Fighter 4 it's dead not enough players playing it like someone told me I've been playing this game for 10 years now I think it's time for a change 😂😎
Basically Ryu's V-triggers have the properties of SF3 and SF4 with the parry and focus. Honestly if the wrong person perfects using his VT's Ryu would literally be untouchable.
There's no way that's going to happen and sfv parry is none like sf3, sf3 has safe parries os and in sfv is a huge risk and doesn't always lead to a punish but in a limited game like sfv it's good for Ryu but not super good. Tere are some things that you can vt2 safely which is really good but all the other's are a risk that you need to take, but that's been Ryu in a nutshell for decades. Shoryuken is the def of risk
Basically any slow projectile that is used to set off offense like akuma vt fireball, juris, a lot of fang moves, sim second hit of yoga flame or ca you can vskill and as soon r teleport you start vt2 and he will get trapped, bison ex fb. Etc. Anything else it's a risk and has to be conditioning or pattern detection previously made.
@@ponchuffyxxx I didn't say they were just as good or the same. Pressing forward is much easier than pressing two buttons and you can't dash after VT2. But this game is so much slower than 3 and especially 4 when it comes to inputs and timing which makes it easier to pull off VT.
This game is about 50/50s and safe pressure. Whoever gets in more offense has a better chance of landing the hits into the win. There is no defense so the strongest characters have the best pressure. Ryu is not one of them. His parry and v trigger 2 have plenty of frames of recovery. Nowhere near third strike where its almost instantly your turn on success.
AKA the most satisfying compilation
Parrying with ryu is the most satisfying thing ever
Damn i remember Daigo with that crouch fierce to super on TS Sabin
yeah daigo had some of the most amazing moments ever with ryu. Daigo could make a bad matchup for ryu look good for ryu with just amazing reads. His success rate on his dps was ridiculous you cant even call them random.
You make Ryu look top tier.
I'd be really interested to see what you could do with Akuma.
Vt2 parry is SO satisfying to watch and to land.
Time to jump into ranked and whiff some parries!
Ah, very nice. So I wasn't the only one planning to do that. XD
Hahahahaha Jimmy you are the Ryu we deserve man!!!!! Keep these coming, really loving those parries!!!!
Yo!!! @ 0:14 I didn't know that was an actual punish. Thank you sir. I learn something new every time I watch your highlights.

Vt2 feels so satisfying when you land it
How to do perform the parrying stuff like thw 3rd strike basic
6:35 that nearly filled up your V-Guage...you didn't even Parry the whole thing!
Best V-Skill in game .
v trigger 2 is so much fun when it hits, but its such a huge gamble when it misses. A big buff to v trigger 1 would help ryu a lot more than v trigger 2 right?
Ur parry skills are legendary

Alex can do it but obviously only in VT1. Ryu can just parry all day for free lol.
Alex can do it and gets a nice reward from landing the followup hit
Hey jimmy how do you read the v reversal parry?

its nothing like sf3 parry lmao
It's easy to win with the most overpowered character.
It's Cheated
Man, teabg isn´t cool..
