Hopefully we will get a Revolver set with a great new mix…..next to Sgt. Pepper I think this needs a new stereo mix. I currently only listen to the mono mix on CD as Taxman and Got To Get You Into My Life and Tomorrow Never Knows all sound unbelievable in mono
there's also the fact that most 1987 masterings have slight digital aided fades (most noticable on "i want to tell you"). the only cd without this issue is the 1992 canadian cd.
I agree. Perhaps Apple want to test the waters with a " Revolver " set before investing in a " Rubber Soul " set. " Rubber Soul " is where The Beatles bid farewell to Beatlemania and became, along with Dylan, the standard bearers of FM long format Rock.
Most likely we'll expect a 2023 October release for a Rubber Soul Deluxe Edition. (As a 17 year old, I am excited as hell to hear the 2023 mixes of the tracks from Rubber Soul in time for my 18th birthday)

Great video, Brian. I hope if they do put a box out, they put in a mono lp, as the 2014 versions went out so quickly. Agree with your assessments about a stereo version on cd.
I do have a soft spot for the 87 cds. I remember when those things were like 18 bucks new still, and good luck finding them used for cheaper. I spent a fortune on that collection- only to sell them in 2015 for like a dollar a piece.. probably should have just held on to them.
I had the awesome pleasure of doing Yellow Submarine for a talent show that I did during my fifth grade year at elementary, I was the conductor playing it out as my other classmates did the thing. She then proceeded to let me borrow her CD and it was Revolver! I praised her and my parents were very supportive, it felt wild being on stage but I loved performing Yellow Submarine when I had been given the chance to that time. I kinda burned a CD out of Revolver.. but in a few years after Cirque De Soleil announced the LOVE rendition. I feel absolutely in love with the LOVE mixes and composition with the way of the music was flowing into each other making It one monumental Composition that I will love and cherish to this day along with Revolver.
Agree that the 2009 mono is great, I still enjoy the 2009 stereo too - hadn't noticed any issues with She Said She Said but that could just be my cloth ears! It will be interesting to hear the new GM mix of the stereo when/if it comes out. It will also be interesting to hear how that compares to the currently available 'remixed' Revolver tracks -such as those from the YS Songtrack (Eleanor Rigby had some timing issues I think)
It'll be a giant leap for Apple from Let It Be to Revolver. Just 3 years but 30 years worth of musical difference and outlook and verve...1966 was really going places. I hope Apple are up to the task of making Revolver more of an event than Abbey Road. It's the best of what's left in the back catalogue. They have to muster more than a very good stereo cd mix to justify Apple prices that already got a 3-year start on hyper inflation. The writing in an accompanying book should be a cut above with higher ratio of writing over photos: Apple needs to discover that Beatles fans can read, and info readily available online isn't worth the print. This is a new approach I'm trying out - - complain about the release well before it's released. That way they might get the drift of what's not good enough in time to surpass themselves. I've already told Apple I want a refund.
How about telling them you want a REFUND before it's even announced to be released?! (That's the most psychotic form of customer input ever.... yet I like it for some reason!)
Looking back, I was just happy that the Beatles were finally on CD in 1987. Yet, looking back, could have, should have, but DIDN'T make it as good as it could have been then! It's like all you were getting was a semi badly photoshopped Xeroxed copy of the record for CD format at that time.. but at least they went with the all British versions universally speaking)
Not sure I could agree with you more. Initially balked at the price of the mono set but so glad I got it. It's how they wanted it to sound. Stereo was an afterthought. And forget the American version (which is the one I bought as a child). Revolver is the best Beatles album, followed very closely by Rubber Soul.
Hey there! Enjoyed your thoughts on this topic. Now we officially know it’s coming out! I have the stereo 2009 and I enjoy it enough but I’m excited to hear the e mono cd now! My key song when hearing Revolver at 17 was And Your Bird Can Sing, I also can’t imagine it without that track LOL.
The original UK mono version (PMC 7009) of "And Your Bird Can Sing" had a few extra bass notes tagged on the end of the track which seem to have been removed from every other version. I hope these are included on the box set mono mix.
It’ll be interesting to listen Giles Martin’s remix of Revolver. “In my opinion”, Martin’s had some hits and misses so far on his BeaTles albums remixes. The one I can’t listen to is Abbey Road. On Come Together, for example, Lennon’s voice is less prominent than the back up vocals. Martin erred in the coda where Lennon’s “Aaaawwww” before closing out the song by repeating “Come Together” , is buried. In my opinion, that “Aaaawwww” vocal by Lennon is essential to song’s mood and spirit. Lennon had the natural gift of “mood singing” if there is such a term. The intonation and flex of his voice was always perfect & set the mood to the lyrics and music on some of his songs (i.e., No Reply, I’m so tired, Girl, Yer Blues, Strawberry Fields, Ticket to Ride, Twist and Shout [cover song], A Day in a Life …). Martin messed up another Lennon piece of Abbey Road, “I Want You (She’s so Heavy)” especially on the last part of the song, Lennon’s magnificent repeated guitar chord. The key is of course the clarity of Lennon’s strings which unfortunately take a somewhat of a back seat. Martin put more emphasis on the accompanying instruments, even the synthesizer for crying out loud. I did like Martin’s Sgt Pepper and Strawberry Fields/ Penny Lane remix. Let’s hope he does a good job with Revolver. In closing, I had this thought about the album’s title Revolver : most of the younger crowd who are getting into The BeaTles probably don’t know that it’s another Lennon “double entendre” play on words. It means a gun, of course but also refers to vinyl disc album revolving at 33 1/3 rpm. ☮ & ❤
In actual fact the title only refers to a spinning record. It was over in America, where they're gun demented and someone mistakenly assumed it referred to a gun and designed a cover/sleeve depicting an collage image of looking down the barrel of a gun. Not a great idea and the cover was rejected for obvious reasons.
I think I know what you’re referring to with something sounds off on the 2009 Revolver. It doesn’t bother me, but I think what’s going on is that John’s double tracked vocals are both on the same volume level, so it creates more of a bathroom echo effect. The double tracked vocals on the Mono mix features a more dominant vocal with the 2nd vocal a little more buried in the mix, so it sounds like a less artificial echo.
Hello, fine video. Oh I knew Revolver USA mono in 1966-67! and it is still a fine lp. the somgs missing are on Today and yesterday which is pretty much Lennon music! My fav Beatles lp is the USA version of Rubber Soul. I rather think the American versions gave us the Beatles as we excepted them to sound. And when we think of it: very few UK lps by the Beatles are excellent mixing wise. The best are the mono, the other stereo is an embarrassment! A pity
Great video here, the problem with Revolver from the US box set from 2014, is that they used the stereo and mono mixes from 2009, so if you have the stereo and mono box sets, you're not really getting anything new.
Excited about a " Revolver " box set. I hope it will include " Paperback Writer " and " Rain ", as they were only excluded because of the British policy of excluding singles from lps.
Who knows? They didn’t do that for Hey Jude and Revolution on the white album or the Ballad of John and Yoko and Old Brown Shoe. They just issued outtakes for those four songs.
@@beatmet2355 also, there is some 1966 concert footage from Japan, San Francisco and elsewhere that hopefully Giles Martin can fix up because the quality's pretty bad. Also, the " bigger than Jesus " controversy deserves a full disc / documentary of its own!
For my own amusement I added Rain and Paperback Writer to the mono version of Revolver on my iTunes playlist of the album. These two songs fit in perfectly with the other 14 and turned a great album into an even greater one. (I inserted Rain in between Here, There and Everywhere and Yellow Submarine and put Paperback Writer between Doctor Robert and I Want To Tell You, thus maintaining the integrity of the alternating John/Paul/George mix that was already there. Try it yourself. It really works. And this “bonus” running order is still only 41 minutes long. It certainly would’ve been doable back in 1966.)
@@CBrolley cool. Revolver is the most “democratic” of their albums, since there’s almost an equal number of Paul, John and George songs on it. The only album with more than two George track…the white album has four, but since it’s a double album, I don’t count it.
Well the US version is the original that we grew up with.and i like it. Buy yesterday and today to go along with it.mono version is different mix from stereo
I have every CD version of Revolver and agree the best so far is the mono version from around 2009 I believe. I purchased this on the Mono box set. I am still looking forward to the new version forthcoming. Like Brian, I have high hopes that the new stereo version will be the definitive version of the album.
When i finally heard Revolver and everything before it, in mono, i was like “oh…mono is how this was intended”. A proper stereo mix would be cool. Abbey road deluxe mix was way better than the lazy stereo mix. It can be done.
The Beatles themselves participated along with George Martin in the mono mixing process for their later albums. They were generally not involved in the stereo mixes as stereo back then was not considered as important as mono. If a mono mix is done really well (as Revolver was) you won’t even notice that it’s not in stereo. I rarely listen to that album in stereo. The stereo mix of Tomorrow Never Knows neglected to include the slight reverb (or “slap-back”) process to McCartney’s backward guitar solo which, as a result, sounds cold and lifeless compared with the mono version.
Great assessment. The original Beatles CD releases were a bit flat in EQ to my ear. I admit that I haven't heard the mono or US releases. Hoping any new releases includes both mono & stereo. Well done!
After Nowhere Man it sounded as if the Beatles were experimenting with enhanced treble on many of the songs on Revolver. I don't know if this can be fixed.
Great video although I think the fact that the Beatles mix of choice back in the day, was the Mono mix. During the 60's, mono was the preferred choice because stereo record players were not as common as they are today. Mono players were still the buyer's choice so the Beatles tended to be more involved when mixing, leaving the stereo mix to George Martin . The mono mixes were punchier for sure, for this reason.
Was Pete Townshend just being snotty here? Or would he have a legitimate contribution to make were Giles Martin to allow him to help with The Beatles remixes: th-cam.com/video/xHob5tY7kyw/w-d-xo.html
Many of us actually have a fondness for the U.S version of Revolver, since that's the only one we had prior to 1987. It's the one we grew up with, so the track sequence makes sense to my ears. Nice to have it on CD.
All the Beatles music was mixed first in mono, and then later in stereo without the Beatles involvement because mono was king. I have several versions of Revolver and to be honest I like the 24bit 2009 version the best. The mono version sounds flat. I know mono is the " best " version, but I like the stereo much more.
Sept 10 -14 get word on the configurations it will be released in cds , lps how many ..track listing etc. For an mid October release..that's I'd what I've read unless it changes
WOW this box set rumor is news to me, thanks!! Nice overview of the releases. I have the 87 CD in my collection as well as the remaster on vinyl and an old capital mono one, which is of course the WRONG MONO!
Revolver, too, is my favorite Beatles album ever since I bought it new when it was released in 1966. I was 9 years old and at $3.49, it was 3 1/2 weeks’ allowance. My original vinyl copy - my first stereo record - surprisingly still looks and sounds nearly like new and is still my preference over all the rereleases, CD or vinyl, since. Probably because the tapes were fresh then. Even at the first CD release, in 1989, the original masters were over two decades old. Magnetic tape fades over time, no matter how well the tapes have been stored. They slowly lose sparkle and impact in the upper midrange and high frequencies. Subsequent knob turning can do only so much…Maybe find an original vinyl in good condition and make a CD-R?
Hey Brian, so I'm going to try to keep this as short as possible but I really doubt that's gonna happen. So last night I watched a couple hours worth of your videos..... Sergeant pepper box set White Album box set Abbey Road box set and just now you're revolver video ( sorry I'm a little late to the game). So anyway I'm all fired up about this revolver box set, I've already ordered it and I've played taxman probably 10 times now and absolutely love it. By the way I kind of like to get your thoughts about what you think of the remix of taxman. So anyway let me start off by saying I love your channel and I love how you get to the point cuz I've been doing this since 2016 I don't have my own channel but I don't do videos but I've got a lot of people that I watch and I like your channel because you get to the point and I like that. So with hearing the remix version of taxman I went back and checked the remixes of the other albums and I guess there was quite a bit of stuff I missed the first time around. I agree what you said about pepper. I think Sergeant pepper Little help from My Friends are good.... Lucy in the sky kick drum or floor tom is a bit loud, getting better is okay, fixing a hole is good, she's leaving home it's been sped up and Mr kite's good. Everything is fine until I get to good morning good morning which is an absolute disaster. How could Giles go from a beautiful mix of lovely Rita into a god-awful mix of good morning good morning. It's really a shame but oh well. And the rest of pepper is good. Anyway I never did buy the box set of pepper The White Album or Abbey Road but that's about the change really quick. I only have the two CD sets of all three. So I have a lot more to say but I'm going to leave it here for now while I'm still checking out the White Album compared to the 2009 mixes and I already found one that I don't care for on the remix and that's why My guitar gently weeps. The 2009 version of that one is much better. The remix the drums are buried and it's just I don't know something's not right with it. I'll pick back up on the White Album soon. Take care Brian, love your channel.
I'm from the UK and in order to get The Beatles stuff in mono without buying the box set, I had to hunt down the first 4 album CD releases (which were mono) and The US Versions of Help, Rubber Soul, Yesterday and Today and Revolver, because they have the mono and stereo mixes on one CD. I realise that many poo-poo these versions, but I like them. If I want to make the track listing correct, just rip them into your pc, mix & match and burn a CD off. I actually prefer the US yesterday and Today mono mixes of I'm Only Sleeping, Dr Robert and especially And Your Bird Can Sing. Sounds so much better on Y&T.
Great video, but there is no reason to remaster the original stereo mix because it doesn’t take away the bad edits, one sided drums, and lost sound affects. That is the whole point of a new stereo mix. Giles has done a fantastic job thus far. The people who complain about the 2021 Let It Be mix not being a huge difference compared to the other newer mixes should realize Let It Be was recorded for stereo. Therefore, the sound difference wouldn’t be as drastic as say Sgt. Pepper which clearly was recorded for mono.
Hi I’m new to your channel, It’s always bugged me that on eleanor rigby on the 2009 stereo mix when listening to it through headphones, when Paul sings the first eleanor rigby line it starts in both then immediately shifts the vocals to the right. Haven’t got the mono version yet, but as this doesn’t happen on the Beatles 1 version I’m hoping the new mix will be much improved 🤞 of course I’m assuming it’s an issue with the 2009 remaster and not on the original mix?
That's in the original stereo mix. A remaster is just that, a remaster. The 2009 versions are not remixes. The remixed "1" version shows what remixing can do, and I'm hoping for much more of that
@@KariKauree thanks for clarifying this, it’s so obvious now you’ve explained it, I don’t know how I didn’t see it lol really looking forward to the new mix now 👍👍
I was actually disappointed with the sound on all the mono CDs, except maybe Magical Mystery Tour. There's....no treble whatsoever. :/ But what is the *correct* way to listen to The Beatles, if not the CDs? Can't say the original pressings because the engineers who mastered 'em didn't put a lot of effort into them, arguing that they were records for kids; the more "adult" music had all the care taken, while the Beatles' stuff basically got rushed through to get product out. Really, the only way to do it is to get your flux capacitor out and visit #3 Abbey Road NW8 while sessions were going on.
The stereo version of Revolver was always problematic. The best version i have is on 80ies UK vinyl. Nothing beats it. I have no idea why they messed this up on CD.
I loved all the versions of the beatles albums i had, though i prefer some to others. To me, the more analytical, the better. So i am looking forward to the Revolver remixed version. The Sgt Pepper's, White Album and Abbey Road 50th anniversary remixes were fantastic. I trust that the Revolver remix will not disappoint either.
Well the transfers weren't done very good were they on any of those 1987 CDs. Especially those first 4 mono ones because they transferred them via a stereo head and so had to keep doing other things to try and improve the sound. And then some of the stereo CDs were transferred using a misaligned stereo head. And then they were always playing catch up to try and get them right.
I've always found the overall production of Revolver very very harsh sounding. It's like the musical experience of drinking vinegar. It should really sound more like Rubber Soul - If the Rubber Soul hadn't been mixed with a dead centre. And the ADT is far too IMO. Hopefully these issues will be fixed.
When saying "it could be better" are you saying this because you are using a vinyl reference copy as comparison. Without citing a reference to definitively say you know it can sound better doesn't really add up. I understand what you are saying about the deficiencies in the original 87 CD. And of course this is why the remasters were done in 09. But this video implies both versions were not mastered to the best of the engineers ability at the time. One thing Beatles fans who started out listening on CD have missed out on is truly experiencing The Beatles on CD after listening to them on worn vinyl for decades. Fans that get really picky about the digital presentation are also forgetting the massive challenges mastering engineers face when pulling a tape from the archives and mastering. The tapes themselves have aged and even if stored properly are suffering from wear and age. These master tape boxes speak of all the times the tape was played and rewound to make copies for use in various countries, various formats (cassettes, 8-track, reel to reel etc). So in both 87 and 09, engineers were dealing with delicate tapes that had aged. Now to transfer that tape to a digital format requires calibrating a compatible tape machine, adjusting the playback head alignment, motor speed etc. It's this step that can introduce phase issues that you may hear on the 09 version that is either not on or less evident on the 87 CD. It's possible the master tape suffered some sort of issue that causes it to playback this way when they captured it digitally in 09. We may never know. But what I can say from experience in mixing and mastering is that it is very difficult to master with a balanced bass response that plays back consistently across various stereo systems when you pan the vocals and instruments hard left and hard right as heard on stereo Beatles albums such as Revolver. When the low frequencies are centered, our ears and brain interpret this very different than the hard left right mix. Some vocals and guitars panned opposite from the bass and drums will sound thin, bright, tinny and harsh. I consider this a much more difficult mix to do. It's no wonder George Martin did new mixes in the 70s for the Rock N Roll music albums and remixed Rubber Soul for CD in 87.
I'm not a big fan of Giles Martin's heavy handed approach to remastering and I fear the new release is going to be far too heavy on the bass. Giles Martin is to bass what Dave Dexter Junior was to reverb. I also think you're being overly optimistic that a mono mix will be included in the deluxe version. I do hope I'm wrong but I somehow doubt it.
I don’t even like the look of Giles Martin,he looks like the Moron he is for ripping people off.I only bought one of he’s mixes, the Love cd and that sounded like a lunatic running a Asylum.
The only option you have when it comes to Revolver on CD, is the 2009 Mono Remaster from the 2009 Mono box. The stereo mix of revolver is actually worse than Rubber Soul due to the absolute inconsistency. As shitty as Rubber Soul’s return to the stupid hard-left hard-right panning is, at least it’s consistent. The ‘87 and ‘09 CDs show the shit show of a mix this is, and why would you even want the 2014 CD from the US Albums box? Sure you get stereo and mono, but you lose 3 tracks
Overall, the Revolver from the mono box set is my favorite official release overall. I know you specifically said "official" releases, but both of Dr. Ebbett's stereo version's of Revolver (both British and U.S.), sound world's better than what is commercially available. I just hope that if they do the Revolver box set they get someone whose less hamfisted to do the remix. The Sgt. Pepper 50th was a disgrace.
Giles is Rubbish,I don't go anywhere near he's so called mixes,I remember the Love cd which I bought,it sounded like insanity,I'm lucky I got all the albums and singles in perspective Mono or Stereo that's enough for me Alf 75
The sad thing about the Capitol version is the songs are not sourced from the Capitol masters. The powers that be inexplicably used the 2009 remasters. A shame.
Not sure what you mean by 'polarity' issues, but She Said, She Said is the worst sounding track on every format and pressing. It may have been mastered slightly out of phase, which I think that's what you're calling polarity. The worst sounding Revolver in my collection is an original American mono copy. Dismally flat EQ curve with the life sucked out of every song. Even though I'm not a fan of the Giles Martin remixes, I'm sure I'd prefer it over that
I’m sorry, but the 1987 CDs were a poor hack job and a rushed project to cash in on the people that were junking their LPs and replacing them with CDs. There are those who say the old 1980s CDs are better than the remasters from 2000-present because they are “quieter” and have “more dynamic range”, and are not “walled in/compressed”, to which is say phooey! Most of the CDs from the 1980s were mastered with the volume turned all the way down, from the Beatles to Frank Zappa to New Order. They may contain “dynamic range “ but you need to crank up the volume on the amp and add both bass and treble so that they don’t sound limp and tired. They are crap. The 2009 remasters though not perfect, are a billion times better than the aural manure Apple got away with by selling the fans inferior product. The cheap bastards didn’t even include proper artwork, just the minimal possible at the highest price.
The 1987 CDs weren't exactly rushed. The Beatles were one of the last major bands to transfer to CD, people were crying out for them at the time and it was a major event when they were finally released. They were about as good as could be expected and were highly rated at the time. At least we've been spared endless remasterings over the years compared to some bands like Queen, Led Zep and numerous others.
@@KariKauree Oh yeah I’m a mind reader 🤣ok, the new remix has way too much bass and is too ‘loud’. The original Stereo or even the 2009 mix is better in my humble opinion. I have the 24/96khz Sgt.Pepper remix and it sounds terrible to my ears ☹️
@@naimusic362 You said you didn't like something, I asked what you didn't like about it - no mind reading required 😆 There is no "2009 mix", that was a remaster of the original mix. I disagree with you on the Sgt. Pepper remix. It wasn't meant to sound the same as the original, but to "improve" it in a way (highly subjective obviously) and/or provide a fresh new perspective. I think it succeeded and I'm looking forward to all the other releases
I HAVE THE EMI REVOLVER FROM 1987. PERFECT. WHATS THE POINT OF ALL THESE RERELEASES 35 YEARS LATER.NOW ITS BONUS CUTS AND ALL THAT BS. REMASTERS,BOX SETS, ETC.. LEAVE THESE CLASSICS ALONE. 1987 CD WAS THE ONLY IMPROVEMENT OVER THE LP.
“It’s not a bad CD but it’s not that good either. It could be better but if you adjust the tone controls on your sound system it still sounds pretty good. I like this one the best but I’m waiting for something better. . . .If you enjoy my expertise please subscribe and like this video. Thank you.”
Blah, blah, blah . . . and what's the end result? You'll listen to the one you have or the one you like . Me, I listen to the cassette version . It's cheap and it sounds like the radio. (like the Beatles supposedly always do, there's a trick in that statement) .
I love The Beatles but I think _Revolver_ is overrated. There are some good songs on it but not enough to warrant all the hoopla. I'm not as impressed with Paul's contributions to this album as I am with his contributions to other Beatle albums. Paul had better songs on Rubber Soul. My least favorite Beatles song is on this album. _Got To Get You Into My Life._ (Got to get it off the album.) The album is stylistically choppy. Two minutes and fifteen seconds works great with their earlier material but some of these experimental songs should have been given more time. My favorite version of Revolver is the one I made from The Beatles Anthology versions.
What do you mean?
This!!!! The best version on CD!
I have the 87 cassette uk version that kicks off with Good day sunshine & is in a different order. It's not a bad stereo mix.

Here's hoping the stereo remix is a homerun
As Always Thank you! A little worried here about this next suspected release...........
I hope it's a mega-remix of Tomorrow Never Knows.
I'm sure the UK always had Mono as the main mix.
Maybe what’s off about she said she said is that Paul’s not on it
Hello, fine video.
Sgt Pepper set included remixed Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields, so there is hope.
Not with Giles Martin in charge,I have never got over the Love cd let alone anything else he has meddled with.
@@alfching2499Never heard the Love record. Have you tried the Giles Martin version of Abbey Road? I think it sounds really good.
Or would he have a legitimate contribution to make were Giles Martin to allow him to help with The Beatles remixes:

Many of us actually have a fondness for the U.S version of Revolver, since that's the only one we had prior to 1987. It's the one we grew up with, so the track sequence makes sense to my ears. Nice to have it on CD.
It took me a couple of years before I finally accepted Revolver with three songs from Yesterday & Today added on.
I prefer the 2014 stereo CD to any of the mono mixes. There is just a lot more detail.
@redlightflash Can't stand Green Day.
I have a Japanese Revolver CD that sounds pretty good to me. I'm not sure what year it is from but I imagine early 90's
The 1987 Canadian CD is my go to version. The fades are not digital, and sounds the best overall.
The remixed "1" version shows what remixing can do, and I'm hoping for much more of that
THIS! I can't stand it. Whenever I listen to the album I always queue up a different mix of the track to take its place. It sounds horrible in stereo.
But what is the *correct* way to listen to The Beatles, if not the CDs?
The first 4 cds sounded ok to me,
Yes “Revolver” is next but let’s totally ignore “Magical Mystery Tour” 🙄
I was…. more or less being sarcastic… sorry…
@@derekroberts6654 I figured.
👏👏👏👏👏
Get yesterday and today and you will have revolver.
One of the stupidest things that the recording industry ever did was to make different versions of albums for different countries.
Not the industry, just Capitol Records. Run by very clueless people back then.
That awful transition in stereo Eleanor Ribgy, (we all know what i'm talking about) just fix it and i'll buy it (or piratetly download it)
I'm not a big fan of Giles Martin's heavy handed approach to remastering and I fear the new release is going to be far too heavy on the bass.
The 1987 CD sounds most like the original stereo phonograph record to me.
To bad that you didn't talk about the booklet of every cd...
Giles confirmed this week they are, in fact, doing an anniversary remix due out in late September/early October. Here's hoping for a great remix.
Giles is Rubbish,I don't go anywhere near he's so called mixes,I remember the Love cd which I bought,it sounded like insanity,I'm lucky I got all the albums and singles in perspective Mono or Stereo that's enough for me Alf 75
New remix 2022 of Taxman, is beefier & great sounding...
The sad thing about the Capitol version is the songs are not sourced from the Capitol masters. The powers that be inexplicably used the 2009 remasters. A shame.
The 2009 version of Eleanor Rigby sounds terrible to me on spotify. Everything is panned too severely to one side or the other.
Even though I'm not a fan of the Giles Martin remixes, I'm sure I'd prefer it over that
It's kinda like Quentin Tarentino reviewing Beatle albums
Unfortunately, The new version of Revolver will probably be a total mess up like Sgt. Pepper (remix) is .
What don't you like about it? I think it's fantastic.
@@KariKauree I haven’t heard it because it’s not available right now
@@naimusic362 I meant the Sgt. Pepper remix
Despite all the Revolver fans, Personally my very least favorite Beatles album.
You’re trying to be come across like an expert, but you got no chair maan 😂😒
“It’s not a bad CD but it’s not that good either. It could be better but if you adjust the tone controls on your sound system it still sounds pretty good. I like this one the best but I’m waiting for something better. . . .If you enjoy my expertise please subscribe and like this video. Thank you.”
I consider Revolver missing “Doctor Robert” as a plus. Always found it a boring and meh song.
