When I worked in an office, many former staff used to walk in at random then just hang round for a while, get in the way, talk a load of bollocks, then leave. Why did they do that? I've never thought: 'I've got a genius idea of how I'll spend my lunch hour - I'll go to where I used to work and be a prick by annoying the current staff'.

I was quite that honest about my lack of productivity during a 6 month long engineering internship. At the midterm meeting, my mentor said he appreciated my honesty but I really shouldn't tell such (true) things when I'll get a "real" job, and quickly change my attitude. He talked to his upper hierarchy about my behavior at and outside work (and I had too). They gave me a chance to change, else my internship would have ended.
I said things like I'm playing to much video games late in the night that's why I so tired in the morning. Often, I spend more than 1 hour on my phone in the day instead of working because I don't know/understand what to do. And other things like that.

And I am honest I noticed the spelling error, but I was too lazy to fix it.
0:21-0:26-I work remotely and we have to be on webcam and do conference calls and I'm thinking this as I'm smiling at the camera and acting like I'm paying attention. They nailed that one! lmao

I spent 21 years in the Navy and in that time I was about as close to honest as possible to 2 or 3 ....co-workers(?) as anyone could be. I didn't care all that much but in at least 2 of the 3 instances it nearly cost me my job.
The 1st instance was my boss's boss who EVERYBODY where I was working, absolutely hated. He was a control freak and a real slavedriver. Several times in the course of 3 years I ignored his orders, because I was stupid and thoughtless.
Another time I was nearly slapped with a discrimination charge by a co-worker who was trying to be friendly and I just didn't care to be in the person's company, and in several instances I made my feelings pretty obvious.
I never thought that I would be that person, a jerk who only looks out for himself. But both these people rubbed me the wrong way, and as I said: for the most part, I didn't care. I had problems during that time period, and really wish I could do it all over again.
With my point being that even if you don't get fired for being honest it can make for a miserable time at work....almost as miserable as you are when you lie.

Ok, I'll be honest now; I know people love me, they just don't know that they love me. That doesn't make any sense whatsoever but I type that anyway so I would get a like and celebrate the possible like by jumping up and down in my room, resulting in such noice that my parents wakes up and sends me to asylum the following day, where I unquestionably belong.
