Wow that is one very impressive site. I have passed the site for many years and never thought that the railway system was so extensive. The positioning of the excavators and the collection worth the visit alone. Because of your video this site is on my visit list this year. Great video and thank you for sharing.
It is interesting and not too glossy for the tourists. It will look good when they get around to finishing the railway extension and building the new museum building.
hi Les what a fasinating place to go to and your video does it proud this is another one for my bucket list its so interesting i look forward to your next video stay safe my friend
Did you happen to see where SIRTOM's coal bunker was. With two on the footplate, there wasn't much room for anything else. I noticed that the sun broke through - eventually.
To be honest I didnt - but it was a small area whatever. The sun broke through but by the time I left the rain was back! Thinking about it I never saw the left hand side of the loco, suspect it on the left of the boiler but tiny - driver loaded the coal in buckets
Thanks for taking us along on your visit to the mining museum Les. The narrow gauge railway was very interesting to watch.
It's not the longest of lines but full of character
Very cool! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks!
Nice surprise. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe.
Thanks, you too!
Absolutely fantastic footage of a delightful little railway. Thanks for showing this Les.
Thanks!
Wow that was very sweet, great tour and rise-along too! Very nice narrow gauge, saddle tanker steam loco! (Dave).
Thanks Dave
@@LeslieGilpinRailways Your very welcome.
Very nice Les, a welcome change from the usual Carlisle shenanigans!
I had nothing to draw me to the station and this seemed a hand if different alternative! Thanks

Thanks! Look on their website for details of their special events - not sure about how frequently he steams Sir Tom
Thank you, will do
Brilliant video Leslie
Thanks
Just been to Ouchy McOuchface the dentist, this was a nice pick-me-up, thanks Leslie.
Thanks Andy
Certainly different from the norm Les. Thank you I enjoyed it.
Thanks David
Went to Threlkeld a few years back, great place to visit, maybe be a revisit is due, sometime in the future.

Looks like you had a good day out Les, I have been a couple of times and enjoyed it.
Certainly did despite the damp. It's a great little place run by a real enthusiast
Makes a nice change!
Thanks - Carlisle was pretty dead so I thought why not!
Bom dia lindo trem miniaturas gostei
Thanks!
Well that was different Leslie How to make a hole in the ground interesting..lol.
Actually very interesting - and somewhere not a lot know about! It'll be good on a day with visiting locos or a 'work' day with the excavators at work
@@LeslieGilpinRailways Top Man on doing the filming Leslie.
Pleased to say have taken a ride on there on a Lake District Holiday it may been damper and greyer in fact think it was raining at the time
Thanks, I was lucky to avoid the worst of the day's rain and the quarry kept the wind down
