    Ever since the war started, I've been putting different videos on a watch later list, this one being among them. I have been following Stefan's work on Visegrad24 for a while now and truly appreciate him and what he does. This interview is a great opportunity to know more about the person behind the work. Thank you!

      @@PaTricKakaStI don’t watch anti-Israel content anymore because I watched it continuously from 1988-2000. Anything I’ve watched or read after that says exactly the same thing. Incorrect accusations of genocide and apartheid, questioning Israel’s right to exist (doesn’t happen with other countries), stupidly unrealistic demands to the right of return that would swamp tiny Israel with more people that it can take, calling Israel Nazis. It’s all old, repetitive, easily refutable and says more about the antisemitism of the writers and content creators who use these tired and damaging tropes. Edited for shadowban.

      @@littlecatfeet9064 You have no idea what you are talking about. All those "false accusations" were confirmed by more than 3 human rights groups re apartheid in about 2020, and about genocide (that started on Oct 7) just last 2 weeks. You can ignore facts, and live in delusion (like most Russians do, hopped up on Putin's propaganda, like you are on zionist propaganda), but just know that the same institutions that were literally created by Holocaust survivors and who were responsible for legitimizing Israel's creation are calling it apartheid now and have extensive investigations in the matter that explain that label.

    "There would be no Poland without the Jewish example?"
    Poland regained their state before Israel regained its state. The Jews had taken example from Poland, not the other way around.

    • @StefanTompson
      @StefanTompson 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +13

      Jews were a stateless people who managed to maintain their identity despite having no country of their own.
      Many other such people disappeared, being assimilated by their conquerors. The Poles had to maintain a nationhood for 123 years - faced with Germanisation and Russification attempts - the Jews provided a valuable example of successful resistance to such a predicament.

    • @bronek90
      @bronek90 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@StefanTompson As did a plethora of other ethnic groups throughout history. To suggest that Poles and their intelligentsia somehow based their strategy on that of the Jews, specifically, is nonsense. To suggest that there would be no Poland without the Jewish example is, besides being pathetically submissive, historically incorrect.
      Your efforts to pander to the Jewish audience are painfully obvious and distort history.

    • @bronek90
      @bronek90 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@StefanTompson As did plenty of other ethnicities throughout history. The Polish intelligentsia did not use any "Jewish" example in their efforts to maintain nationhood. It is also a complete fallacy to state that "there would be no Poland without the Jewish example."
      The statement, besides being historically incorrect, is pathetically submissive. Your efforts to pander to your Jewish audience and handlers are painfully obvious and morally repulsive.

    The critique of capitalism which has been detached from Christianity (c.26'30") goes to the crux of the issue. People are not stupid, they see the same people in the USA Right who make a big thing of being Christian are exactly the same spivs who deny unions, are against living wages, want to keep healthcare private (which means billions of dollars are wasted on profits for pharma company profits and not going back into healthcare or local economy with moneu saved by the general public). Here in the UK we see the capitalist Christians and the ones now whipping up fear of muslims etc are the same spivs who privitised out utlities like gas, water, post, rail which have got worse and worse but costing the average person more whilst huge profits and wages are earned by the monopolised chiefs of those privitised companies.
    Sorry, but people think Christian capitalists are spivs and will play any trick to screw them - and here in the UK and the USA (even worse in the US where the christians support the totally immoral Trump) they are right.
    How does Stefan answer that most of the happiest countries (and not happy as in dancing and laughing all day but content and safe in themselves) are the north European countries which are least religious?
    How does Stefan answer that the atricities and rape in Ukraine are done in the name of Christianity - Russian Orthodox Christianity?
    Maybe we don't need Christianity (or Islam) to create a better, less divisive and happier society?

    I think that the people of Poland Lithuania, Germany, Austria they learned what life is like when they are no Jews and they did not like it. I think there is a national shame among the countries that were occupied by Nazis and did not fight to keep their Jews alive, and I think that they are very determined for the most part not to do that again they do not want their culture taken apart, but they do not want to have the feeling that once again they failed humanity. I don’t think it’s Christianity that has given away to western civilization, but the enlightenment that followed Europe’s religious forever, and the understanding that sectarianism that leads to never ending wars is bad for society. It is better to tolerate a more broad consensus of options than to live forever warring between sections that are very similar, someday the Muslim world will realize that Suni and Shaya are a lot closer to each other than they realize and that it is not worth forever wars and the instability inherent in those wars you can have a Lutheran church and Catholic Church on the same street and they don’t need to annihilate each otherbut that is a value of the enlightenment rather than either church
