Righto troop we are coming hot, unfiltered, uncensored and just plain to the truth about the topics we hate about fulltime travel. we have complied these over the last 3 years into this one video and she is a bit of an ear full. We hope you guys enjoy and like always make you LIKE SUB AND COMMENT 🤙
In my opinion you are doing the right thing. We have 35yrs on you and we did the same thing with a lot more working around but did not get the kids so that adds a lot more stress. My answer to stress is slow down when you can. We now live in a house but still have a van, can’t get rid off the bug. Wife has major health problems but still get away with nursing home in tow. Still enjoy life still have hassles. Glad we did our laps before we bogged down, can’t do the long walks now. Reliving our laps through your vids,+ 35 years how things have changed. Enjoying every minute we travel with you. Booking drives me nuts.
100% we are the slowest family travelling Australia🤣 in 3 years we have seen Qld and SA and that’s it. If we done it any faster I think we would have called it quits and it just becomes an absolute mess. Thanks for the support guys 🫶🍻
Hi you two
Seriously you should send your video to the Albanese govt .
You have the real Aussie down to earth experience
I wish you a great future as for myself I travelled oz three times around living and working mining construction and 1985 to 1991 things were a lot easier on the wallet this country is in the bin economy hardship cost of living food medical cost etc etc I just caught this video TH-cam link while I was looking at the zone caravan off road van link
Thank you for your honest no bs brilliant advice to anyone thinking of living full time caravning as option to renting my rent just increased and although I am always thankful to have a roof over my head
Nothing is for certain as lots of rental investments are being sold due to land tax And government tenancy cost incurred by investors .
So many people are homeless .you have helped by sharing your unbiased knowledge and wisdom
Cheers Wayne MC Naughton
😮 oh really, wow Thankyou for the kind words, we are just painting a picture of what life is like and the struggles living on the road and the transitions to and from this lifestyle. ✌️ doesn’t look like the future much chop with the way things are going mate. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment mate🍻
wow when i was traveling with my dad and mum back in the days when my old man was sheering sheep in the 60s 70s around Australia for 3 years we loved meeting new people and see new places but sad to leave and the best was was running into friends that you see six months down the track in a different location i loved it and now in my 60s i want to do it all over again
Thanks guys for being so straight up and honest
Love watching you guys
You guys are so honest and straight up
Thanks mate, it’s the only way to be, straight and transparent with a side of banter😉
Thanks, really enjoyed your video, I’m a single 73 years young solo female traveller….
Love my life, travelled to the Daintree from Sunshine Coast and yes was very tired after travelling for 100 days….had to park up at a CP and regain my energy…. Early ready to hit that road again, and yes I do recommend a health SCH fund
Great episode again guys. Love your honesty and realism. Also admire families like you guys that do full time travelling with kids, which are just the cutest.
We haven’t met the Elnicks in person yet but have promised them we would babysit their 3 boys if we got to meet up with them on our travels.
We would do the same for you too.
We are grandparents to 5 grandchildren, so we do 8 month trips yearly. This year will be our 3rd year travelling. Will be leaving in April for 8 months .
If we didn’t have grandchildren we would be full time travellers too.
Oh Thankyou Suzik, we would be lying if we didn’t say it was a hectic lifestyle that’s for sure, but would change it for the world, being around the groms and each other 24/7, we are def lucky to have this opportunity 😊
😀😀😃😃Enjoyed your delivery and honesty.
☺️ no worries Bernadette, glad you enjoyed it
😂😂😂 who touched the blinds!! Made me laugh so much as I’m exactly the same and when the dogs poke their heads towards them to bark at something I’m sure everyone hears me scream!
🤣😂 she is very VERY protective over those blinds
Hi big picture you are having a life experience as a family that is amazing for you and most importantly your kids! Hats off to you both but as you said know some families that can't cope living in the same house sad life! Give Bobby a pat for me! Thanks safe travels!
Time 💯!!! the drive, groceries, fuel, dumper, water, set up, pack up, throw in brekky lunch and dinner. One thing I won’t miss is the maps and weather app 🤦🏼♀️ shouldn’t complain but I will 😂
Great tip!yea yea, you are talking the language... it can be bloody draining but hey someone has to do it 😉 thanks big fella for taking the time to drop a comment 🍻
Thanks Guys! I'm leaving in 25 weeks and this was the best video I've watched in preparation, and you know I'm watching them all, lol.
Travel safe.
😊 ooo counting down those days, yea we try to be real and realistic, no use sugar counting it as time do get tough, tensions flair, but it is part of it ✌️
Another great episode and straight to the point. The key takeaway for me was slow down and enjoy the journey. We aren’t going to see everything in our first year ❤
💯 slow it down and enjoy the destination Is the main point. 🫶🍻😊
I must admit I was eyeballing the little decoration behind Steph the whole video trying to work out what it was as it looked cool - I would have bought it too even though we are also full timers with no money to burn 😂
🤣🤣🤣 I won’t be telling Steph that, she doesn’t need any more support when it comes to buying stuff, or our caravan walls will be cluttered with “weight” 😂
That’s exactly what we want to hear absolutely Loved it can’t wait to run into you both for a beer and a laugh lol 😂😂😂❤
🤣 no worries guys, yea 💯 always down for a 🍻 and good company👍
Great video ..yes ..rents are unaffordable for many people .
I know we always keep and eye on it and I can’t believe some of the pricing people are asking, crazy 🤪
Thanks for been so honest and truthfull, was great to hear that we are all on the same page
No worries🫶 thanks for watching and commenting ☺️
Great video guys. About time the old boy had a haircut and shave.
Thanks legends 👍 hey hey hey, no talk about the hair, Steph doesn’t need any more troops on her side 🤣🤣🤣
You're both awesome! Loved watching this. It felt like we were hanging out and catching up.
😉 that’s it, good hang out sesh and “real talk” is always needed 🫶🍻
Just found your channel, if you go to Victoria near Daylesford area. You will like camping in MT Franklin reserve its in the Carter of a Volcano, heaps of trees. Free Camping ground is basic but has clean new drop toilets. This area is golden rush towns.
thankyou for visiting our channel, oh really we havent that place.. noted it down for the future now 😉 thanks for the hot tips
thanks for the info now i not going to sell my house now but thinking of renting my house out for 3 years and buying a $50.000 of road caravan to see Australia
Thanks for the video, some good tips there for people who are traveling, or thinking about it. Hopefully we will see you on the road some time, would be great to have a chat around the campfire, if they are allowed depending on fire restrictions.
NO worries guys, 100% always down for a camp fire and a few 🍻
We travelled in 2021. I found not having a partner hard as everything fell on me to fix and sort out where we were staying, home schooling etc. btw I serviced my car every 10k kms. Have to. I used to hate blokes coming and telling me what to do. Treat me like an idiot. Good on u guys. Loved the vid
Oh awesome 🙌 Sounds like you are killing it well done 👍 😊
Great episode very true and informative, no matter what you do or where you go not always roses
Safe travelling as always hugs all round
Thanks old fella 🍻🫶
OCD here guys!!🙋🏽🤣🤣 excellent vid guys!
Book in now for lost tribes counseling sessions on the road 🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣 thanks legends, yea bit of a real talk sesh is always good for the soul ✌️
@@LostTribeAdventures 💯
Great episode love your honesty ❤ We’ve been on the road 17 months and 💯 percent agree with everything you said 🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🤙💕💕
Thanks guys, yea we can’t sugar count that fact that it’s not a perfect lifestyle but honestly it’s still pretty damn good 😊 👍
Rapid Bay to Adelaide? That’s a looong way. Victor Harbor Bunnings would’ve been a lot closer.
I’m a South Aussie and the last couple of years we’ve had bad summers but honestly, it’s always been super hot over summer. It’s a disappointing summer 😕
Nah it’s just a hop skip and a jump up the road, not far at all. But we will check out the south side of Adelaide, so beauty 😉✌️
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 thanks guys, love these honest chats. 😊
👌 no worries Robyn 😊
i'm glad she eventually got hold of that pen, i thought you was going to poke her in the eye lol.
😂 image how pissed she would have gotten then 😲
We are in Darwin and have had a lot of rain over the last 6 weeks but to be expected it is the wet. We are traveling but Darwin locals home for a visit and work to top up funds. One thing you are always able to do here during the wet is house sits (which we are doing). Seriously the best time of the year in Darwin we love it.
We have heard this from a few people now, would love to give it a go I think, we are heading up that way is a few months, hopefully the wet moves on 😅
@@LostTribeAdventures a couple of months will see you end of March early April and unless we get a late monsoon you will be fine. It will be hot and humid.
It's been the worst weather, ever, The best time to visit is June, July and August. Best weather and so much happening in the way of events
So many truths in this! Great episode guys.
Thanks legends, seriously it was awesome to hang out and talk so smack. Hopefully not to long between drink yea. Keep it real🍻🫶
Steph hahaha YOLO! 😂 can relate team! Miss you guys 💙
😉 dang straight, can’t wait to catch up with you crazy kids up north, are we still on for BDAY meet up?
Well that was very honest, it made me think that you both have a lot of things on your mind. So it sounds like there isn't a lot of time to actually enjoy what you're doing, the caravaning lifestyle as a whole, you have to focus on a range of different things, things that are related to traveling full time, maintainence being a main thing, but there are many other things that are important, otherwise you can be caught out, like oh no, we have hardly any water for example. Anyway, thanks for the insight, how do you cope ? Lol👍
Yassss, indeed we do.. and this is the purpose of the vids.. a Quick Look into our lives and to show it’s not always peachy and quite hectic. But we wouldn’t change it for the world, we love it.. see the kids grow every day and having the chance to see this awesome country…. 😊 we are pretty damn lucky 🍀
Yes, good reasons right there.👍
Dang wished I'd met you guys while you were in this neck of the woods , I'm just up the rd in Pt Noarlunga and l was at Wirrina only 2 weekends ago. would love to have a beer with yas one day 😊
Oh really, not to far away from you atm then😉 we have to check out Port Noarlunga, such an epic place ✌️
Buy some wooden folding chairs lol ,they hardly ever break !
I just went to see if i had liked this yet, as i only got through half of it last time. To my horror i had inadvertently given it a thumbs down!! Fully unintended and fixed now. I love watching your vids guys. Keep it up!
WHAT how dare you 🤣 all good brotha, thanks for watching and the support 🫡🍻
Wow that was brilliant so much helpful info, as I’ve told you guys before we set off on March 1 the way we’re doing it is find work somewhere stay for 3 months then travel for 3 months and so on. I’m a painter decorator and my wife is a hairdresser so I think we will be set for work wherever we go. I just want to ask you guys a question i was thinking about starting my own channel The traveling tradie give hints and tips on painting and decorating from different parts of oz what do you think your opinion would be appreciated thanks guys keep up the great work 🍻🍻🍻
Best Tube channel guy's keep up the good work thanks 🤙
Thanks guys, appreciate the support and taking the time to comment 👍🫶🍻
Thanks guys, so many things I have never thought of it’s great that you have brought them up.
Haha 7% try the 16% we paid back in the day
Great episode.
Yea I think my olds paid about 23% crazy hey. Thanks for the support and taking the time to message 🫶🍻
Don't worry bro my wife always yawns when I start talking I ask her if I am keeping her up, the struggle is real !!
😝 ain’t that the truth.
Yeah the wear and tear is heartbreaking 💔 especially with the purchasing power with todays economy
💯 mate, it cuts me to the bone 🍖 heaps of 💰 getting smashed by the Australian climate 😢
@@LostTribeAdventures 💯
Great episode so very true !
Thanks guys, truth and transparency is the best education in our books 🍻👍
Money is the biggest stress. The oh crap moments happen. Agree you need a big stash of cash to access. Probs min$20-30k these days. Ideally you work on the road a couple of days per week. People should not feel pressured to keep up with the jones. Do you.
Oh big time, the oh crap fund needs to be there as anything can go wrong with this life. 👌😉
Great vid as usual guys - Facts 💯. Steph looking stella 🔥 glad you guys expose the good & bad with truth. You're an awesome couple / family.
Thanks big fella, yea she is my little pocket rocket 🚀 😉 not doubt about that 😂
Great video so truthful honest video I wish I was travelling got the travel bug !
Question roughly how did you afford the van car and travel full time I take you sold the house 🏡? A lot of others say not to so you can come home to something. I’d sell up and do it tomorrow but like your saying cost of renting and buying has gone though the roof .
Have you thought or looked into any causal work here or there ?
Grease channel guys doing a great job of the videos channel love it watching every video .
Thanks for the comment, no we still have the house back on the GC, all rented out. We made a plan about 3 years before we even started to fulltime travel, research and planning was a long process. If we couldn’t afford to travel and keep the house we wouldn’t have done it, as a you said trying to come back to the market and costs have sky rocketed.
Working around Australia is the key, plenty of jobs out there in every single industry. And that keeps you going on the road, as it is a life change not a extended holiday 😊
Awesome Ep and great info guys
Thanks mate, little bit of a different one from us this time 👍😊
All good
@@LostTribeAdventures
you haven't seen streaky bay wow you are missing out on heaps Tumby bay Arno bay big whiting big snapper
Very informative guys can relate to most even though we dont have kids travelling with us finally happened been waiting foe most of the vid for Arron to smack Steph in the mouth gotta do something with those arms and hands mate
🤣🤣🤣 good point, I’m sure she will give me a good snack back if it happened 👊 thanks mate, hope all is well🫶
Great episode
Thanks Susan 🫶😊
Could I please ask what is the cool app you use that shows the car and where you have travelled?
Hey hey, it’s actually 3 apps merged together then I do the cut and tracking process in our editing software, DaVinci Resolve. 😊 I wish it was one app, it would make my editing soooooooooooo much easier 😂
Thanks Guys
No worries legends 🍻🫶
Thankyou for sharing, l suggest to help with your problems, Get A Job.
Settle down for a while, put the kids into school., then move on.
Find a job it does your mental well being wonders,.
Money to spend less stress😊.
Don't get me wrong ,l love watching all your videos and wish you all the best.
No worries, we are pretty settled in this lifestyle and “TH-cam” as a job for now 😂 if you can call it a job. This video was more to show that there is still a lot of down side to this life as well as up.. we will eventually have to go back to a normal life one day… just not today😉🫶
Good to know
😉 have to keep it real🍻
I,m sorry but WA is booking nightmare but great for free camping
hair cut maybe
I hope you get the help you need
🤔 what help mate??
Not having enough of M n D time not on your most hated things about travelling full time?🤭
🤣 hey hey you might be on to something there. More M&D time is always welcomed 🫶🍻
