It just happened to me with a Chloe Silverado I just got. It's beautiful, but I think it's fake!!! And I just got a Celine Boogie Charlotte York and a suede brown but the brown is different from yours. I'm considering getting a gold Celine Bookie Bag.
What an absolutely great find - sorry it didn’t work out like you thought it would. You did a fantastic job fixing her up though and I know the next owner will be over the moon! Looking forward to the next haul on Curated by Caleb! TFS!…😊
Love the vest, it's so beautiful. Beautiful bag color, I understand buying a bag, you always wanted and not fall in love with. I bought a Fendi peekaboo in this beautiful blue color in the size medium. I was not in love with the size, but my sister loved it so gave it to her. I ma looking to get the peekaboo in a small size , I think the small size would fit me better.
Thank you, Tiffany! I'm kind of mad- I didn't get a chance to actually wear it out before coats became a necessity this season. It's 8 degrees here today and it's ripping through my coat! haha. I'm sorry to hear the medium didn't work for you, but I'm sure your sister is love it!! I also think the small is a better size- I love the large, but I need a small one too in my collection.
Yes, I feel you! I’m planning on selling my house and going tiny (tiny home/rv) and I’m trying to drastically downsize. I have so many bags and accessories I need to sell, but the resale market seems kinda dry right now. Lots of people are preferring to not buy, or just buying dupes and counterfeits. It’s kinda sad.
I love that you go for some less popular but still awesome brands and styles that I also love. So I'm borderline obsessing over your cleaned up fringe Boogie. I only own one so I think a second might not be insane or you talk me out of it. When will you be posting this fringe baby for sale? ❤️
I’ve had that feeling before as well, it’s actually a polene shearling bag I had wanted for 2 years and it’s still sitting in my wardrobe in its dust bag for a year now I have not taken it out once, maybe it’s time to let it go.. love watching your take on things ❤❤❤
Caleb. I purchased a coach bag last year. I had to just have it. And once I got it. I really didn’t care for it as much as I thought. I guess the bag gods had to put one over on us. Oh I like the wallet. I had a dooney and bourke sitting in my closet for a very long time. I just decided to carry it and I am in love with it.
I'm glad I'm not the only one being punished by the bag gods! In all seriousness, I'm sorry that happened to you. In collecting bags, there's nothing worse than being excited about a purchase and then feeling "meh" after it arrives. And I'm happy to hear you're loving your Dooney!!
The good news is it’s only up from here! 😉 Yes I’ve been there. I often find I go to the Dooney outlet with one bag in mind and I end up coming home with another one. 😂 Opportunity cost is real. lol! TFS 🥰
Thank you, Ivana! You're absolutely right, it's only up from here. And that's a great point about the Dooney outlet- I'm in trouble whenever I pop in haha!
I love your vest! Aww, too bad about the Celine, but not everything is love. You’re going to pass this on to someone who will be as thrilled with it as you had hoped to be. That black boogie is gorgeous 🖤🖤🖤.
I’m guessing I would have the opposite reaction after spending all of that time, cleaning it and taking care of it and bring her back to her beauty I would be connected especially with that seemingly flawless silk interior. But I’m the type of person when I really start taking care of something, I feel more For that thing or that person than less.> but we’re all different and that’s what makes the world go round❤
Thank you for your feedback! Normally, I'm the same way when it comes to caring for an item. But this was a rare instance when no matter I did, I just wasn't falling in love with the bag.
I feel your pain, Caleb. So far, my luck with handbags in 2025 has been hit or miss. The way this year is going on general, I'd say luck has run out for most of us. 😕
Yes, it’s happened to me a few times. Usually it’s due to an odor that turns me off. I return. I have no problem buying pre owned bags but they have to look like they’ve been sitting unused in a closet with no offensive odor. That’s a bummer that happened to you. How disappointing.
The mini Boogie with crystals is a vibe, I love that one! I'll have this one priced to sell, I just haven't figured that part out yet! Stay tuned, it'll drop Monday night!
Happened to me twice last year- a Dior Clutch and a YSL Mombasa. Both I' d really been hunting down for years, both were incredible deals, both arrived with major (not disclosed) flaws and went back. I was so disappointed that I actually don't want these models any more at all.
I now understand people who say they dont have the energy to switch bags. Because i dont have the energy to switch wallets! I just hate it! I don't know why. So basically i have 70 bags i think. And i really want to go down to less than 50. But i use the same card holder all the time and the same slgs all the time. Do you switch wallets with each bag? What about the slgs?
Sooo funny when you said that size was small for dinner. I'm a mom now that is tiny lol I constantly use my incredibly capatious bags now lol. Well to be honest I don't have a sitter and I do use the subway so I guess the shoe fits!
Haha! I do switch wallets and SLG's with each bag 😂 I try and carry 1 bag for the weekdays, and switch to something else on the weekend, and again if we go out for dinner or something. But I still find myself switching amongst the same bags though. And yes, kids would definitely warrant a much bigger bag!
To me if I spend $4200 and hate it I’m returning it. Idgaf. I bought a Jackie and I took it home and I was like nope. I’m not in love. Returned it. Got the Jackie in the Balenciaga print and it looks so much better for me. I have a Fendi Selleria peekaboo and an Hermes Kelly and I use the Fendi a lot more. If you aren’t happy within the first 19 seconds, it’s not for you.
There's a mall called The Gardens in Palm Beach, but not sure if that's what the card was referring to. I can really tell you've lost weight, congrats! Yes, there has to be love or there's no sense in collecting. 🙂
That could be the mall! And thank you, I appreciate that!! And I agree, it's a gorgeous bag, but it'd be a waste for me to keep it. I guess they call that "maturing"? haha!
This happened to me with a bag I purchased on Ebay. I am allergic to cigarette smoke and get very ill around it. I purchased a bag in excellent physical condition but the seller did not disclose the smell. The bag came in the mail and as soon as I took it out of the box I started getting nauseated. It was a very strong odor. I had no choice but to throw it away. I hate throwing things away but my health comes first. When buying preloved sometimes there are some bags that just give me the ick vibe and I don't know why, even if it is something I wanted. I think sticking to your list is a good idea to combat mindless shopping. When I shop I am usually mindlessly scrolling and buy something that interests me. I think I am going to make a list of what I want and stick to the list. 2025 is a low buy year for me.
That's awful, nothing is worse than cigarette smoke smells. And I agree, the ick vibe is real with some preowned bags for sure. And I'm the same way- most of my purchases occur from mindless scrolling and if it's a good deal, I buy it. Not this year!
At least you didn’t try and make it work. 😅 you expected it and moved on. Seeing it just out and about with you not playing with it, I knew it wasn’t for you.
Thinking you could have just said you bought it to clean up and let us know you’re putting in your store. Calling it a fail is not the way to sell something off. Just some reseller advice. I still love you and hope you love me too!
I truly appreciate your thoughtful feedback, and I absolutely respect your experience as a reseller. However, I want to clarify that simply saying "I bought this bag to clean up and put in the store" would have been a bit of a stretch-because, in truth, I bought it for myself. It wasn’t some covert business strategy or a tactical reselling move; it was simply a purchase I was excited about and anticipated would bring joy. When it didn't quite work out as planned, I saw it as an opportunity to share a more authentic and reflective experience with my viewers. I didn't want to just present a clean "success story," because, let's face it, not every purchase is a triumph. Sometimes it's a *fail*, and that failure offers something just as valuable: honesty. As a content creator, I feel it’s crucial to remain transparent with my audience. It's important to show the full spectrum of an experience-joys, successes, and yes, sometimes, the frustrations too. It's about connecting on a deeper level, and for me, that means being open about how I felt when this particular bag didn't live up to my expectations. I totally hear you when it comes to reselling advice, though. The strategy of framing things as "successes" often works well in a business sense, but for me, authenticity comes first. Plus, who doesn’t love a good plot twist in a story? Thank you so much for watching and for your continued support-I hope I can keep sharing more moments of both "wins" and "fails" with you!
@@CalebSnell Sound reasoning. Actually strikes a cord with me. Its true. I've bought bags I was SOOOO Excited for and then womp, womp... lol... Of course I'll keep watching. I'm deployed right now, so watching you everyweek makes me feel like I'm not so far away, after all. Love you both!😘
Oh no, I totally get the disappointment. It's happened to me with a pretty expensive belt just recently which I was very excited for but I ended up disliking after I realized it didn't give me the kind of functionality I had hoped for. 🥲Anyway, I'm actually obsessed with the gallery wall part of your office, which, as a more casual viewer, I haven't seen before. Reminds me of those typical 90s luxury apartments you'd see in movies like 1st Wives Club or Death Becomes Her, especially the framed pictures on the desk. Very cool! Also: who's the artist of the top left painting?
Thank you so much for the compliment- that's one of my favorite eras of interior design, so I really appreciate it! The art is by Ali Franco, we have a few of his original pieces around the apartment, and his work is fantastic.
Well, that was a bummer! Has this ever happened to you? You receive a bag and no matter how much you want to love it, it just doesn’t happen?
I’ve gotten some games from goodwill that I was disappointed in…😢
It just happened to me with a Chloe Silverado I just got. It's beautiful, but I think it's fake!!! And I just got a Celine Boogie Charlotte York and a suede brown but the brown is different from yours. I'm considering getting a gold Celine Bookie Bag.

@@CalebSnell I love the boogies. I had low expectations but they are growing on me!
Wow! Congrats on finally finding the fringe bag. You did an amazing job cleaning up the bag. 🥰
Thank you, Jamie! I'm happy with how it turned out, but it's still gotta go!
I love people that admit when something is wrong for them and fix it quickly 🙂
Someone will definitely enjoy them 🥰
Thank you, Shikma! I agree, no sense in trying to force something to work!

A shearling Polene sounds fabulous! But no sense in keeping it if it's not love. But that's always easier said than done. And thank you!!
You did such a great job it looks great but I totally understand I am sure that will sell quickly. 🎉TFS 👛🛍️🚢🦆🙏
I know, it's a bummer it didn't work out, but hopefully the next purchase will be the one!
I love that Celine in black like yours.
That's my favorite one for sure- the leather is so nice!
These were nice. I hate they didn’t work for you but at least they will be going to a good home. Thanks for sharing 😊
I know, it was sad, but it's always good to see them go to someone who loves them.
A video idea: I’d love to see you get a professional colour analysis and look at your bag collection through that lens!
This is something I've wanted to try for a while- I think it would make a great video too!

Quick question: how did you cleaned the suede bag? Looking for a good product that won't damage the leather 😊
I highly recommend a good suede eraser and suede brush. Here's the one I use: rstyle.me/+Vn8d9Bzu2R0YGBKNHAQRpQ
