I was similarly shocked at the mileage when I took my 350 for a 300 km run. I extracted a mileage of around 28kmpl. I started thinking that I had ruined the engine, but then once I was back in the city, I started getting 40-42kmpl. After a few rides, I realized that riding a 350 between 80-95kmph can provide you with a decent mileage somewhere around 33-35kmpl.
