  • Shown here is the AmigaOS Star Wars: Dark Forces port port by Szilard Biro downloaded from Aminet. and run off the V4 Micro SD card. I had the original DOS CD-ROM so I copied over the game files to the specified directory. Please note this is still sold online so if you want to play you can purchase the game officially at the link below. Apollo internal test core used so final gameplay appearance may vary some from the video shown. Loading times can be improved by copying game files to boot drive / program drives and running in fastest PIO mode.

    I'm here for the trash-talking stormtroopers. This game was so much fun, back in the day!

    Oh great! I wonder if he is using that technique that allows an A500 to render Doom in realtime, or just relying on the raw speed of the Vampire?
    Here's a list of games of that era that should have been on Amiga if only...
    * XCom 2 Terror from the Deep
    * Fallout 1 and 2
    * Curse of Monkey Island
    * Wolfenstein 3D
    * Command and Conquer and Red Alert
    * Day of the Tentacle
    * X-Wing
    * Myst
    * and the first wave of true 3D games of course - Doom, Heretic, Descent, Duke Nukem
    Fortunately time, and memory expansions and accelerators, mean most of these can now be played on Amiga. After that we entered the era of true 3D accelerated games with PS1 and PC 3dfx cards. What games would you have liked to see get an Amiga release back in the day?

      This using the same sort approach as the DOOM ports available on the Amiga since the mid 1990s. Relies on RTG graphics techniques (chunky GFX not bit planes)

      Hi! Well as long as it runs on 68k I can do it. The PowerBar PowerPC games won't run.

      @@sillonbono3196 the Amiga MIDI interpretation music sounds better than the Mac version. Sound Blaster not required on the Amiga ;)
