Technically, I worked on Midnight Club LA as a break from action/adventure games and shooters... lol. As a matter of fact, every "racing game" I've ever touched has been me taking a break from my bread and butter; Road & Track's Need for Speed 3DO, Road Rash 3DO, Jet Moto 3, MX2002, The Grand Tour Racing (not my fault - talk to the designer of Black & Burnout Paradise on that one) and Midnight Club LA... all literal "side-gigs". 🤣

You know that the Racing Game Devs behind the IHRA drag racing games, NIRA Drag racing, and Hot Rod Magazine presents Burnout Championship Drag Racing. They made RPG games like Fallout, Elder Scrolls, and many other games, Bethesda Was also a Racing game Dev.
funnt thing is in Alone in the Dark 2008 pretty much whole interface 1 to 1 to TDU2, same font and menus

My nostalgia for Black is immense and I'm glad you're willing to give it a try. Also notice how the ammo in the magazines is doubled. Yes. It's that kind of a shooty game.

Burnout Revenge actually featured a nod to Black in the form of the Black Elite Racer. Hence why there are bullet holes all over the car and a green tint on the windows and lights. The Xbox 360 version doesn't have any Black logos anywhere on the car, however in the PS2 version it has the logo on the sides on the car.
Criterion actually said themselves they wanted to do what they did to racing games with burnout to FPS games with Black

The environment design of that hunting game actually looks pretty damn good, feel like it makes sense cause KT Racings' WRC was known for having really nice stage design within the genre. Their last WRC, WRC Generations, has some stunning environments.

The project gotham racing devs (bizarre creations) made a james bond game for Activision called 007: Bloodstone which is surprisingly great fun

Midnight Club L.A. did racing way better than GTA 5. I really wish we’d get another dedicated racing game from Rockstar because MC L.A. is still impressive and honestly exceeds today’s standards for racers

Never in my life have I thought I would see Theo playing Black from the PS2! Pretty damn good game.
Other Examples: Project Gotham makers Bizarre Creations also made the third-person action game The Club. (They also did 007 Bloodstone, but that was under Activision and screw them.) DICE made racing games for a while before making Battlefield. They made Rallisport Challenge and Midtown Madness 3. They also made Mirror's Edge.
In forza horizon 4 deluxe edition there is car pass included. So all cars form car pass will be permanently present in my garage or they are one use only?

Was exoecting to see some of the many things Codies made over the years. I remember having a booklet in the V8 Race Driver 3 box that had all their other titles and there was from memory a RPG, i want to say Overlord was Codies and there were a few other things there.

As a mecha fan Omega boost looks fantastic and fun af like it's a good time polyphony digital to make another Omega boost game because the mecha genre for gaming is coming back like armored core 6.

I actually have and still have Omega Boost. It wasn't the most complex game but as a space Mech shooter, it was pretty cool. I had no clue Playground Games was behind that.

I think one obvious one you forgot to mention was Red Dead Redemption 1, which was made by Rockstar San Diego, which also made Midnight Club.
Black was one of the only shooting games I really enjoyed, I can't stand shooters but this and bad company were awesome!

Rockstar leeds also worked on max payne 3 (at least thats what wikipedia says). Codemasters published operation flashpoint cold war crisis (developed by bohemia interactive who would later go on to make arma and subsequently buy the rights to ofp cwc) and developed operation flashpoint dragon rising (decent game) and red river (absolutely dogshit)

So Eden Games made some of the best racing games of all time, but then they make a game so bad that it almost killed Alone in the Dark as a franchise. Also Theo, people hated Battlefield V because “MUH IMMERSION, WAHMEN IN MAH WW2 GAME”

The car pass cars are yours to keep, you just need to buy/redeem them
I remember trying motorsport 4 a while back and because there's no Internet on it you don't have access to loads of the cars, I was really mad.
