May GOD Bless & keep you & hubby safe on your mission of light Jenny! Many thanks for the continued tutorials. We have gotten so used to your face girl. You are our sister from the Royal Mister! Be too blessed to be stressed!
I'm thankful my mom taught me to sew clothes. But I really enjoy creating quilts. Thanks Jenny and the entire Missouri Star Quilt Company for putting it all out there.❤🙏🤗🍁
Sure wish someone would put their arm around me and teach me about bias. LOL. Really like the look of this quilt. Thank you for showing us how to do it.
I have several of the Cake Mix books that I bought years ago when they first came out. I thought it would be a great way to make a quilt, so I started one. But I was not happy with how it was going, so I set it aside. I think it's time to try using them again because this is a beautiful quilt!
I have 4 of these Cake Mix books I for got I had Thanks I will get them out ! not sure where I put them lol . Hope you Two are enjoying your Mission and learning as well as teaching blessings to all ❤
Please verify size of quilt for the layer cake. the printed size at beginning of video is 80x80 (28 secs in), then the verbal size is stated...its a big quilt at 80*95 (1:04 time in). I literally backed up the video as noticed the difference from written to verbal when stated.
Thanks for commenting this! 4 blocks across by 5 down isn’t square so 80x80 was a mistake on their part. I may skip this one as that’s a huge quilt. Happy sewing. 🧵
I bought these and never used them. It just makes more sense to do the easy eight. It was the obvious method after I looked at the wasteful cake templates.
I know she keeps saying “good for beginners”, but they are good for ANYONE, especially if you want perfect blocks. Paper piecing makes for perfect blocks!
You could, but you would end up with larger than necessary half square triangles that you would then have to trim down to the correct size. With 16 HSTs per block, that would be a lot of trimming. By following along on the papers as Jenny is demonstrating, you will produce perfectly sized HSTs that require no final trimming.
Thank you Jenny for planning ahead so we can still be taught by you , just grateful for all you taught me. Hope your enjoy your mission ,God bless and keep you til we meet again
Number 2! Nice to see videos Jenny has left for our enjoyment! Happy sewing!

It could be a typo
@@ifoundfaithI always look at the bigger quilts and think about simply making less blocks if I really like it.
@@ifoundfaiththe actual pattern says 79x95
@ifoundfaith I'd just leave off the borders and it will be a nice smaller size!
Nice idea.
Querida Jenny me encantan tus explicaciones y bellísima tu trabajo besos desde San Juan Argentina

We miss you Jenny.
Could you use this paper method for hand stitching instead of machine stitching?
Question: when you say 6 inch outer border... Is it 6 inches finished or cut 6 inches?
It's easier to continuously sew the seams by turning at each section rather than sew all the way across the block, stop and restart.
Jenny I think you could use a printed background color also right?
Can I have download print copy / I am hearing impaired deaf grandma!!! God Bless you !
I wish she could do some from Africa.
Hi. In what part of Africa, please?
❤❤❤❤
I have several of the cake mix, which number did you use, please
Recipe 4, found it under "more" tab
Cute fun
what is the finished / unfinished size of the block ???
The pattern will tell you…but it is 16-1/2 unfinished 16 finished
What size are the squares?
Aren't they 16-inch finished squares? With borders, it would yield 80 inch wide by 95 long
❤
Nice
I know she keeps saying “good for beginners”, but they are good for ANYONE, especially if you want perfect blocks. Paper piecing makes for perfect blocks!
Great point!
I wish you would number your videos??
It would make my wifes life much simpler!!
Why wouldn’t you just sew all the way across rather than turning each time you get to the center?
She’s following the sewing line on the paper
Then you end up 1/2” away from the next line every time instead of across 10”.
You could, but you would end up with larger than necessary half square triangles that you would then have to trim down to the correct size. With 16 HSTs per block, that would be a lot of trimming. By following along on the papers as Jenny is demonstrating, you will produce perfectly sized HSTs that require no final trimming.
You can, you would then need to square them up to the correct size. She even says you don’t have to use the paper
And with the last 4 pages you can add a couple pillows
I live in Los Angeles CALIFORNIA. I am working in Robert Kaufman
Super❤ kiss😂
Jenny, please choose nicer fabric. Your lights and darks are hard to distinguish
Use what you want
❤❤❤
How big are each square?
