This residence is located in a shopping district in Tokyo. It is a three-story reinforced concrete building with a rental gallery on the first floor. It was designed by Niko Design Studio, popular for its warm colors and fun-filled free floor plans. It just so happened that we were shooting at the time when a flower store was opening on the first floor of the rental gallery, and "g to y" was kind enough to cooperate with us. The owner of the building is unique in that he likes abandoned buildings. This image was expressed in the thick structure of the façade. The structure is covered with vines, and the image of a ruin buried in greenery is beginning to float in the air.

I love the fact that Japanese people can offer a part of their home as a space for local artisans without the worry of disruption or damage. This home is absolutely amazing at only 3 meters wide. It is situated in a wonderful space in a busy street. Bustling in the day but serene at night. An oasis from the outside world.
