You made that look so easy! I think I can do it myself now! Thanks so much!
Yes it’s simple job
This is a great video. I have a 2014 Nissan Maxima and I’m going to change my spark plugs. What spark do you recommend for my car and the torque do I need?
Denso
You didnt gap the spark plugs? When i bought mine they were way too narrow at like .34 and servica manual recommends .44
Ok I usully get pregapped plugs
Have nissan altima 2017 sv 2.5 with 142,000 should I change the spark plugs and fuel injectors get about 22 MPG
I would do that spark plugs not sure why u want to change injectors u can just do service cleaning on them
I have a valve gasket leak so there recommending I replace that and the spark plugs at the same time, I don’t want to spend nearly $1k for both to be done, if I were to have one done before the other which one would you recommend? I have a 2018 Nissan Altima 2.5L S
This is not 1k job why don’t u try another mechanic. And 2018 is too erly for to be leaking but u never know alsongood mechanic can change the spark plugs free since it will all be open when doing the gasket anyways they both would be good idea to do togather since it will all be apart try talking to another mechanic shop
@@RBTheMechanic I put a lot of miles on the vehicle, it’s close to 130k. Don’t ask why lol. I will definitely ask another mechanic!
@@Jessica97Cheerlife still it dosent fail I see 2014 altimas come to me with 140k miles still good. Where ru located maybe u can come to my shop I’m north nj Bayonne if ur at round locally
How often should you change the Coil / Plug boots? I want to do a tune-up on my car, and will be replacing the plugs, but should I get new boots and/or the coil packs?
Well I usully don’t change coils or boots unless they go bad but plugs I would say 70k miles and they got to go
Fantastic video thank you. How often do coils go bad
148,867 miles just bought it of private dealer should I replace them and ignition coils@@RBTheMechanic
Good instructions and camerawork
Thank you
@@RBTheMechanic I had a little tougher time getting the harness out of the module but figured it out with a small flathead screwdriver. The sparkplug in #1 cylinder was a little stubborn getting out, but I got them all, the new ones in and it purrs like a kitten. I bought a magnetic 14 MM socket , which helped even more!
@@michaeldoran8472 yeah but u got it done!! Good job!!
How can i find out if my car has ever gotten spark plugs done?its a 2014 nissan altima
Pull one plug out and see the condtion
I have a 2018 Nissan Altima sv. What kind of spark plugs do I need and how much torque?
I believe the torque spec is 14.5 ft lb or make it even 15. And try to get good original plugs I use denso or ngk
How often should I change the coils?
U don’t change the coils u less u have misfire. Plugs I would say 60k miles or 80k miles

@@RBTheMechanic 2014 nissan altima
@@RBTheMechanic appreciate you bro🙏
14-16lbs torque
I don’t have a torque wrench any suggestions?
U can use ur hand and just be reasonable if u good and have mechanic experience other wise u can pick up a torque wrench
Before removing the old spark plugs try to tighten it first so you can get the idea or leave one of the old spark plugs in, remove the rest and use that one to measure the ones you put in.
@@ShaneC5862 measure what?
The gap need to be .040?
Yup
Thank
