Then after saying grace together, we waited and let Mom put her napkin in her lap, and pick up her fork before we even picked up our forks. At the dinner table during Family Dinner, nobody eats until our Grandparents give each other a kiss (except for the littlies if they’re there. They always eat first.). We also have a “No phones at the dinner table” rule, which allows us all to just enjoy each other’s company and our meals.
We do the same when we go out to a restaurant, too. Though when we’re out, we just east whenever we get our meals instead of waiting for our Grandparents to kiss.
It’s been that way for years, and none of us would change a thing! 🥰
