Thanks. Glass beach has grown into a major tourist attraction. When I moved up in 1992,there was only parking on the side of the road. ,yet so much more colored glass. Point Arena is a cool coastal very small town, there are some beaches, and a light house. I didn't know about the animal park, maybe wasn't there then. There are so many small great towns, so many hikes near the ocean and away in the woods. Fort Bragg, where I lived. had only 7000 People, Not that big. They do have some large drugstores chains, and a handwear store, and 3 grocery stores. IN 1992,on Main St. was a large 2 story Department store, vey old-fashoined,lots of women's stuff, and moderately priced. It closed in 1993,and was divided up into small shops and restaurants.
This beach used to be so cool 10-15 years ago. You had to be a billy goat to get to it, there was tons of cool glass there. Then the city decided they were going to put stairs down to it, (easy access). People were taking glass out of there by the buckets. So sad.
