    This is great ..... well gone👍
    The limiter explanation is perfect and will be useful in the future.
    So if I have 1650Watt peak panels on a 1KW model inverter, I can limit the peak Watts to say 850Watts to keep the unit cooler and extend life expectancy. May upgrade to a 2KW model inverter in the future or a second 1KW 🤔👍

      I have a question: As long as the voltage stays below the maximum (DC), can I have lots more than 1000Watts of panels? I would like to do that so I get more power on cloudy days.

    Hi i need help. I have 2 1000w inverters bought months apart. We had a storm and now neither is working. I'm still getting power from the panels, but neither inverter is working. I have 1000 each in panels putting about 750-820 watts each in full sun. I could see if one stopped, but both makes me think something happened during the storm. No close lightning was observed, we were home. Is there a reset or any thing you or viewers could suggest. One is about 1 year old and the other is 7 months. Both have worked flawlessly since hook up. Thanks

      Hi, sorry to hear that.. I don't know if there reset functionality, I can only recommend to disconnect panels and AC from inverter and let it seat for about 30 minutes, then connect AC back and PV panels.

      Hi, I did update to cable. Now sensors connected in parallel.
      The sensor on one leg is reversed (one pointing to panel, second out of panel).

      Let me know if you have any other questions.

  • @benkanobe7500
    @benkanobe7500 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Thank you. Very easy to understand the way you did it. Also, you didn't go too fast. I have a question: When we set the limit for the inverter's power out, that is not the limit provided by the Internal limiter (Clamp) Correct? I am trying to make sure that once I have my Clamp on one leg of my power from the grid, my inverter will not back feed the grid. (In my case the grid power company would fine ($$$$$) me or shut off my power). I have 900Watts Maximum of panels (not batteries) and plan to let my inverter use the full 900Watts if needed, BUT, I don't want it to ever supply more than demand and back feed the grid. Will it do that?

    • @SolarEngineering
      @SolarEngineering  3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      To prevent backfeeding you'll need to setup CT sensor, sensor will let inverter know how many watts it needs to produce.
      Limitation in settings (that I'm explaining on 4:09) is to limit TOTAL inveter power production, here are few examples (assuming that you installed CT sensor):
      Example 1. Panels producing 900W, house consuming 600W, limited power mode is OFF:
      Inverter will produce 600W of power to cover house needs. Rest 300W of power will be unused.
      Example 2. Panels producing 700W, house consuming 1000W, limited power mode is OFF:
      Inverter will produce 700W of power to cover house needs, rest of 300W will be taken from the grid.
      Example 3. Panels producing 900W, house consuming 900W, limited power mode is ON and set to 200W:
      Inverter will produce 200W, the rest of 700W will be taken from the grid.
      Please let me know if it's clear now, and thanks for the feedback.

    My dear friend.Can you be more specific for the efficiency of the 2kw sun grid tie inverter...If you want my experience offering him DC panel power 2000 watt it gives me no more than 1450 watt.so increasing the panel power to 2850 watt v=85 volt and I =35 ampere DC. THEN IT GAVE ME 1850 watt....so 1850/2850 = almost 66 % efficiency......i am really curious for yours measured efficiency......thank you .

    Dear Sir .I have bought 3 on grid inverters with limiter.2KW each .Each one has a white sensor [ a coil ] that goes to the main cable of my house electric panel of GRID. Question. Can i connect together these 3 inverters and all of them to be able to push to the house 6KW instead of 2 Kw ?? DO i need to place one sensor in the main cable of the board and where shall i connect this sensor in series in the top of the 3 inverters???? Question some other blue sensors they have where are being connected to the 2 cables + and - from Panes voltage?? and where do i connect this sensors then .in the three inverters???? Being thankful to you for your consideration.Thank you

      Hi there, too many questions in one :)
      Let me first ask you few questions:
      1. What kind of electrical system do you have? (Split phase system like in US/Canada, or just single phase like most parts of Europe and Asia)?
      2. Do you want to limit inverters' output, or do you want them to supply full power to the GRID?
