I was on search and rescue in Joshua Tree National Park. Saved two pilots in a 172 after it was driven into a mountain top in a storm. They threw us a party at 29 Palms airport six months later, and sitting on the tarmac was his replacement 172.
No one says, "The Cessna One Hundred and Seventy-Two".
Since the Vno for a 172S is 129 kts, the cruise speed is clearly not 140 kts.
Clearly that wasn't a real human talking.
The pronunciation of vinyl was indicative.
