This short film is about a couple discussing meaning of love, death and dreams for the future, in the man's dream. The man bid final farewell with his lover as she had actually passed on, and he may not remember any of this when he wakes up. IU acted as the deceased lover, named Jieun, who entered the dream of the depressed man. Here's a rough translation of the song introduction written by herself: "a dream that would be forgotten after waking up" is a fresh idea that i like. While acting as Jieun in the short film, i kept thinking "is there meaning of existence for moments that will not be remembered". The lyrics is written not in the perspective of the person who is having the dream, but from the perspective of the person entering the dream. This song is about entering a dream that will be forgotten, to sing a final lullaby to the loved ones and put him to sleep before leaving."
