This is terrible. This little girl was so protective of her grandma. Such a sweetheart. Shame she's having to deal with adult things but it's obvious her grandma is her rock.
I was an EMT at 16. Before out of hospital DNR. At 17, I had to make the decision to respect my grandmother's wishes even though it was not 'legalized' She was 92 and lucid. Not long after, I had to make the same decision for my other grandmother. It was hard enough at that age.
I worked in a nursing home and the "we need the bed" just brought back so much anger from that time. They would hardly give the families time to grieve before telling them they have a few hours to remove their things.
That’s so sad but it’s the way of these nursing facilities. No care in the world. The hospital administrators/CEO’s are making money, no caring, no empathy, no love. 😢

Actually, papers have to be presented for proof of DNR. Don’t go off of a child’s word. You have to have papers in front of you, or some kind of identifying bracelet, necklace that says DNR!!
Necklace, bracelet, tattoo, none of those matter. The fact is you can get the tattoo at 20 and regret it at 60, or I can slip a DNR bracelet on someone in medical distress if I want their money. It is a specific form that must have a copy on file at every hospital system you go to, one at home, and another in an easily accessible place (ie magnet holding it to the fridge) for an ambulance. If someone codes in an ambulance or hospital, they can have a necklace, bracelet, shirt, shoes and even some pants that write DNR across the butt. The fact is if the form isn’t complete, or for some reason an EMT or different hospital doesn’t have it… you’re full code, unless you can speak your wishes.
@@YeshuaKingMessiahShe ask what it meant at the end. So either the grandmother lied and said it meant something else so her wishes were met or the child thought it meant something else and got her grandmother killed by the doctors not doing everything to keep her alive.

He was still alert and lucid, so I explained to him that the drugs were keeping him alive, then asked him if he was tired (he had already been in the hospital and ICU for 3 1/2 weeks). Then I asked him if he wanted to stop treatment, he nodded his head so I told them to stop all the meds except for the morphine to keep him comfortable. He passed 8 hrs later. Being a nurse I realized that was what he wanted, but it did not hurt any less when he passed.
She loves her grandmother and she screamed out DNR not knowing what it meant but the doctor how can she take the word of a child and allow the grandmother to die even if it was discussed at home buy the girls family they should have done their job until an adult arrived and consent forms were signed not to resuscitate how cold hearted can one be “ grandma’s dead we need the bed “ no sympathy for the little girl’s loss 😂😂😂 I watch this show and that cold doctor I always find myself telling her off 😂😂

There is empathy, but the fact still remains that someone else needs help. That's the reality of a hospital.
