I live in New Zealand and I'm in my sixties. I dressed in a mod Ska style in the late 1970s/early 80s. I still dress that way today sometimes. I like the smart style of peg leg trousers and a polo shirt. I would like to visit Brighton Beach there and shop.
A million memories all came flooding back, from seeing The Jam to trying to scramble a few quid together to get some new clothes, great days and great video mate.......subbed
Really good, Me and the Mrs take a hike to Brighton and stay at the Grand every couple of years. Love the lanes and all these newer mod clothes shops. Had a few nice mohair suits out of “Jump The Gun” over the years. Did the odd August bank holiday rallaye with the Untouchables when Isle O Weight got to samey. Had some great times there and yes it is the spiritual home of Mod..
@@puregallusproductions That's where i purchased my Parka and some other items.. Need to find me a head piece like Dave had in Quad- i think roland alphonso used to wear. I'll find me a nice pair of Clarks in London.
I’m visiting Brighton this summer. Great video to put me well and truly in the shopping mood. Fab music too. Tell me, is there a list of all those Mod shops in Brighton..? There should be walking shopping tour for real in Brighton. Will be subscribing for sure.
It’s not high street “fashion” from Primark. It’s British sub-culture. You’re either into it, or you’re not. There are mod and scooter events all over the country, every weekend, every year, so i reckon there are plenty people wearing this clobber. Cheers from a Glasgow Mod.
Mod clothing boutiques in the seaside resort towns where all the fights took place in the 60s? Oh, the irony. What's next? Rockers and Teddy Boy clothing boutiques located across the street? Anyway, as a Yank who has always taken interest in the Mod subculture, I found this video to be quite interesting. But did you get actual permission to use the music contained within the video? The Who and The Jam don't take kindly to their music being used without permission, you know. Hope you don't get sued.
Brighton is an amazing city with a lot of cool things. Very neat and clean. Such a historical place. Thanks for the video! 🥰🥰

Great clothes for twenty years olds as it was in 64 and 79 but not for near retirement salad dodging weekend pantomime stars on autos.
No-one is forcing you to buy them!

Sum of it is ok ,,,,can end up looking like a fancy dress look ????
WHAT no ROCKER Shops! 😉
No because they never sold out.
leather jacket, jeans and some boots.......will last them years !!! (unless a middle age spread needs larger sizes ).
Paul Weller's not a Mod Revivalist.
Because he doesn't know what that means.
