If you are not happy in a school, look for another one. In my case I was expelled from my first academy (ironically, the branch of leandro lo here in Argentina) but it was the best thing, that place was violent with the new students, made sexual advances to the female students and professed Nazi ideology. I did not go out of respect and because I faced them in and out of the tatame, which is why they expelled me. In short, I should leave as soon as possible. Today I am in an excellent academy with other values and friendly people
There may be a "Team" but on the mats its you and your opponent. It is definitely an individual sport as well. People are free to move as needed depending on their own situation and their goals. Its highly situational depending on the individual, however brotherhood and sisterhood runs deep as well.
"brotherhood and sisterhood" Ive always thought that people really care about me.. Turns out people never care as much about me as I think that they do. loyalty is an illusion for fools.
I think people who get mad at a teammate that leaves has fallen into a cult mentality. I get sick of this who "team" thing. This isn't a tem sport. When it comes down to what matters in a solo combat sport you're in it alone.
Yeah but, if I got better was due to my professor's effort and training partners. I'm sure if I change my school FOR NO REASON they would be upset at me. It's like I didn't take into consideration all their time ans effort to help me with the techniques.
@Davi Bourne Do you pay them to train at there place? If so then they'd be being ridiculous. This isn't like Feudal era Japan where a lot of martial arts students live at the dojo. I know it does still happen sometimes where young proteges will get put up by the instructor or a higher up. In that case it would be more understandable but doesn't happen often in America. Brazil is probably different.
@@davibourne3856 I completely agree with you. But I don't think people change gyms for no reason. I had a girl change gyms because she dated and broke up with a guy at my gym. I switched gyms because there wasn't enough competition at my first small gym. There's usually always some reason for a switch.
I'm leaving my gym I'm at bottom of pyramid. I'm not getting my head slammed on mat by the gym bully with no instructor present that class, then week after I see the dude is now being pushed as a coach helping out coaching the kids. Fuck that I'll train else where.

Emiel Grendelman It is more common than you think. The biggest lie that Jiu Jitsu has a Douchbag Filter
Luqui Gilguero very true about that filter thing. Bjj doesn't make you a better person but amplifies your personality IMO.
Christ, glad you got out of there man!
ballisticbread Thanks friend but I was expelled from that place, I did not have the courage to leave.
Lucas Gilguero it can make u a better person what are you talking about

Big Steely I hope you can find a better environment to be in if that’s the problem. I wish you the best because that’s not healthy.
@@desmundreid3368 Thank for the positive encouragement. =)
The motivation for leaving Brazil for the US is $$$$$. And I don't blame them.

No jiu jitsu doesn’t have the most competitive athletes in the world. It’s not even an Olympic sport or multi billion dollar leagues.
Who the fuck are those guys 😂
#UFC232 #KEEPBRASILCREONTEFREE
ok
Whats a creonte??
This is really verified Chris cyborg.
NO LOYALTY!!! 👎🏾
Jiu-jitsu is lame. Catch Wrestling is better. All gracie's got their asse's kicked by Catch wrestler's.
I cant find any catch wrestling schools nearby. Shame. I think learning that would def improve my bjj game overall
As a BJJ black belt I'd love to attend catch wrestling classes. It should be fun with all those dirty moves
