I've been eyeing that Moroccanoil curl control mousse. My curls have been living for light products. I can't do gel or custards anymore because they make my hair frizzy and weighed down. I love the natural texture of my hair and want them to be very defined without the weight.

I've been using Finesse mousse for many many years. Recently it's been hard to find but I have gotten it from Rite Aid, and Target (online only! Haven't seen it in a Target store in forever!!) Also, Taylor we saw it in your eyes on Friday that you weren't feeling well. That happened to me a few weeks ago. Started feeling like I had low grade fever. Tried cold meds, day AND night, then tried allergy meds (pills and nasal sprays).. never quite got the right cocktail to help. Eventually it went away. Hope you feel better VERY soon. Between the two, so far I prefer the Cantu, I feel the Cantu didn’t frizz my hair as much, it was weird going in but the results were better, whereas the Shea moisture was great application but the results didn’t hold as well.

Crazy story. I DMd one of you ladies about the Schwarzkopf Smooth 'n Shine Curl Defining Mousse. A couple weeks ago I used it alone. My hair was very soft. This past week I used it along with Miss Jessie's Pillow Soft Curls. I got so many compliments. It's a bit watery and it dissolves quickly in your hair. It feels like you're not using enough, but it gives good curl definition.

I have tried two foams and i love it very much my hair dries faster. I reapply the next morninfmg and it lasts all week. The shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie is fabulous my hair loves it

Compared to the last foams which ones did you guys like the best ? Also there is the creme of nature argan oil line and a carols daughter one but that’s a hair milk foam which is interesting. Never tried them just seen them before 😊

Quite a few years ago, my mom and I were parked in a line for elementary school pickup (little sister's school), and a hispanic lady made a turn between my mom's car and the person in front of us. She hit my mom's bumper, didn't stop, and ripped off the whole bumper. The lady had a suspended license and no insurance. The cop let her drive off with her elementary aged daughter (5 or 6 maybe). He was also hispanic 😒 On a more pleasant note, I recently tried the SheaMoisture mousse, and I love it. I rinse out a little bit of my deep conditioner and use it to style. I get too much frizz if I don't layer it with something.
Alexandria East Yes. We think some of these foams need a little help. We deep conditioned the next day our hair was very dry. They say foams are like setting lotions so they probably are somewhat drying, but we still like what they do and the curl definition they give. We will keep trying new Foams. We like them. 🤓🦁💕➰ ps. Same thing happened to me in October. A guy hit me while I was standing still at a light. Tried to get me not to call the police. Not a lot of damage but a scratch. I am like you, I don't drive around in a busted vehicle. He tries to tell the cop that I was moving. Offered to have a "friend" of his fix it. Not!! Anyway, my insurance company has a collection out on him. He had no insurance. The insurance company told me not to underestimate, even when it looks like a scratch the impact can cause unseen damage that could be very costly. Glad you are both okay.
Last weekend I tried doing a wash and go with Shea moisture’s coconut and hibiscus mouse and loved the day one but day two my hair was dry and horrible. I want to try a mouse wash and go cause it VERY light hold but how do I tackle the dryness but keeping a very light and lose wash and go ?
I had that same experience! My day 2 today my hair was drrryyyyyy and there was barely any curl definition. I’m thinking a leave in. The Shea moisture Curl and style milk is light, I’d give that a go with the mousse.
I used Bio Keratin Curl Control mousse and it also formed extreme foam when I applied it, I left it and it disappeared as it dried .... but mine was elongating, no shrinkage at all... I did notice that if I use anything but a lite leave in it doesn't define as well... however the Shea Moisture mousse I've seen other use the curl milk first from the same line and that seems to fix the drying issue you've experienced .... by the way the music at the end of this video is great!

Thanks for reviewing the morrocanoil products i requested last Friday during the live video,,, I had used it in the pass but they came with new products. I use to used the curls leave in , but I did order the new defining curl and the gel waiting for my order to come in .. they never felt me in the past .. as I said the silicone help a lot during summer time control the humidity time .. thanks god nothing bad happened to the car just a bad and uncomfortable 😣 situation but no mayor damage or injuries to you guys ..

Jewdell Dill I got a shampoo called “Wash and Comb” Detangling Foam from them. I was so excited to use it and see it Foam up.....Nothing! Absolutely nothing. I don’t understand. I poured that shampoo into my hand and it was like a medium weight leave in and it did not foam up, lather or anything. I just don’t understand it. What a let down. Have you ever heard of this product by Soultanicals?

TaylorAnne-I am sorry some idiot backed into your car. I meant to tell you that I tried the Oyin ginger/mint co-wash. My hair was detangled with the first wash and it was so moisturizing. I know you like co-washes, you will probably like this. It is a little pricey though. I am using this as my back up for the CRN Creme Restore Cleanser. That same thing happened with me where some guy rear-ended me & put a HOLE 🕳 in my rear bumper 🚗, told me N🚫T 2 call 📞 the Po Po 🚔 & gave me his "#" & told me we could settle it without the insurance company. Chile 😑. . . a few hours later when I called, Ms. Suri 💁🏼♀️🤖 told me the # I was trying 2 call didn't exist 🤬🔥. I wonder if that bastard 🧔🏼 got HIS karma?? But back 2 the foams. I'm loose natural now & haven't tried a foam since being so, BUT ☝🏾 . . . I did use the Shea Moisture 🥥 Mousse back when I had locs & wanted 2 do roller sets & what I did was have my locs very damp, squeeze in the mousse, immediately scrunch in the SM Curl Enhancing Smoothie (though I'm sure any water-based cream could work) over that, then put in the rollers, then sit under the dryer for about 45mins to an hour (though you wouldn't have to sit as long cuz locs are thicker & you're not using rollers) . . . Ba-BAY👏🏾!! When I tell you my hair held a tight curl for about a solid week (long as it wasn't too humid outside) which transitioned into beachy waves for the following 2wks. And the BEST part was my hair stayed moist for about an entire MONTH!! Granted --- locs are thicker, so they hold more water, so that could've had something 2 do with it. Oh yeah 😳☝🏾!! I 4got to mention --- either b4 or after (though I'm inclined 2 say after) I applied the Curl Enhancing Smoothie, I sprayed my hair with a homemade holding spray which I got the recipe 4 offline. It was very simple though. U just boil some water 💧, add some sugar to the boiling water, let it cool down, add some essential oil for smell after it's room temperature 🌡, then spray it on your hair for hold. Sugar is great for hold --- as is salt 🧂--- but sugar is moisturizing unlike salt. Sorry, I can't remember how much sugar 2 water to add, but it was probably like 1 teasp. sugar 🍚 to 4oz - 8oz of water 💧 & you add more or less sugar depending on the level if hold you want. But I'm sure you can find a ton of similar simple recipes online.. I couldn't believe 😱 how much hold I could get from such a simple recipe!! But, yes. That sugar/water spray probably had a lot to do with the softness & hold lasting so long. Anyway, maybe next time you use that foam, immediately follow it with a sugar spray after putting on a water-based cream over the mousse & see if that helps hold the definition & reduce frizz.
I'm sorry you guys had to go through that long ordeal but it's good that you called the cops. I'm sure the guy has his own "karma" coming to him (or has already had plenty of it from the sound of his attitude). That cop better hopes the guy doesn't cause damage or worse to others since he felt it necessary to let him go without impounding the car or taking other actions...

I've been using Finesse mousse for many many years. Recently it's been hard to find but I have gotten it from Rite Aid, and Target (online only! Haven't seen it in a Target store in forever!!)
Also, Taylor we saw it in your eyes on Friday that you weren't feeling well. That happened to me a few weeks ago. Started feeling like I had low grade fever. Tried cold meds, day AND night, then tried allergy meds (pills and nasal sprays).. never quite got the right cocktail to help. Eventually it went away. Hope you feel better VERY soon.

Between the two, so far I prefer the Cantu, I feel the Cantu didn’t frizz my hair as much, it was weird going in but the results were better, whereas the Shea moisture was great application but the results didn’t hold as well.

Crazy story. I DMd one of you ladies about the Schwarzkopf Smooth 'n Shine Curl Defining Mousse. A couple weeks ago I used it alone. My hair was very soft. This past week I used it along with Miss Jessie's Pillow Soft Curls. I got so many compliments. It's a bit watery and it dissolves quickly in your hair. It feels like you're not using enough, but it gives good curl definition.

Compared to the last foams which ones did you guys like the best ? Also there is the creme of nature argan oil line and a carols daughter one but that’s a hair milk foam which is interesting. Never tried them just seen them before 😊

Quite a few years ago, my mom and I were parked in a line for elementary school pickup (little sister's school), and a hispanic lady made a turn between my mom's car and the person in front of us. She hit my mom's bumper, didn't stop, and ripped off the whole bumper. The lady had a suspended license and no insurance. The cop let her drive off with her elementary aged daughter (5 or 6 maybe). He was also hispanic 😒
On a more pleasant note, I recently tried the SheaMoisture mousse, and I love it. I rinse out a little bit of my deep conditioner and use it to style. I get too much frizz if I don't layer it with something.

Same thing happened to me in October. A guy hit me while I was standing still at a light. Tried to get me not to call the police. Not a lot of damage but a scratch. I am like you, I don't drive around in a busted vehicle. He tries to tell the cop that I was moving. Offered to have a "friend" of his fix it. Not!! Anyway, my insurance company has a collection out on him. He had no insurance. The insurance company told me not to underestimate, even when it looks like a scratch the impact can cause unseen damage that could be very costly. Glad you are both okay.

Last weekend I tried doing a wash and go with Shea moisture’s coconut and hibiscus mouse and loved the day one but day two my hair was dry and horrible. I want to try a mouse wash and go cause it VERY light hold but how do I tackle the dryness but keeping a very light and lose wash and go ?
I had that same experience! My day 2 today my hair was drrryyyyyy and there was barely any curl definition. I’m thinking a leave in. The Shea moisture Curl and style milk is light, I’d give that a go with the mousse.

I used Bio Keratin Curl Control mousse and it also formed extreme foam when I applied it, I left it and it disappeared as it dried .... but mine was elongating, no shrinkage at all... I did notice that if I use anything but a lite leave in it doesn't define as well... however the Shea Moisture mousse I've seen other use the curl milk first from the same line and that seems to fix the drying issue you've experienced .... by the way the music at the end of this video is great!

TaylorAnne-I am sorry some idiot backed into your car. I meant to tell you that I tried the Oyin ginger/mint co-wash. My hair was detangled with the first wash and it was so moisturizing. I know you like co-washes, you will probably like this. It is a little pricey though. I am using this as my back up for the CRN Creme Restore Cleanser. Have to shut down my computer, those thunderstorms are about to hit right now. Chow.

That same thing happened with me where some guy rear-ended me & put a HOLE 🕳 in my rear bumper 🚗, told me N🚫T 2 call 📞 the Po Po 🚔 & gave me his "#" & told me we could settle it without the insurance company. Chile 😑. . . a few hours later when I called, Ms. Suri 💁🏼♀️🤖 told me the # I was trying 2 call didn't exist 🤬🔥. I wonder if that bastard 🧔🏼 got HIS karma??
But back 2 the foams. I'm loose natural now & haven't tried a foam since being so, BUT ☝🏾 . . . I did use the Shea Moisture 🥥 Mousse back when I had locs & wanted 2 do roller sets & what I did was have my locs very damp, squeeze in the mousse, immediately scrunch in the SM Curl Enhancing Smoothie (though I'm sure any water-based cream could work) over that, then put in the rollers, then sit under the dryer for about 45mins to an hour (though you wouldn't have to sit as long cuz locs are thicker & you're not using rollers) . . . Ba-BAY👏🏾!! When I tell you my hair held a tight curl for about a solid week (long as it wasn't too humid outside) which transitioned into beachy waves for the following 2wks. And the BEST part was my hair stayed moist for about an entire MONTH!! Granted --- locs are thicker, so they hold more water, so that could've had something 2 do with it.
Oh yeah 😳☝🏾!! I 4got to mention --- either b4 or after (though I'm inclined 2 say after) I applied the Curl Enhancing Smoothie, I sprayed my hair with a homemade holding spray which I got the recipe 4 offline. It was very simple though. U just boil some water 💧, add some sugar to the boiling water, let it cool down, add some essential oil for smell after it's room temperature 🌡, then spray it on your hair for hold. Sugar is great for hold --- as is salt 🧂--- but sugar is moisturizing unlike salt. Sorry, I can't remember how much sugar 2 water to add, but it was probably like 1 teasp. sugar 🍚 to 4oz - 8oz of water 💧 & you add more or less sugar depending on the level if hold you want. But I'm sure you can find a ton of similar simple recipes online.. I couldn't believe 😱 how much hold I could get from such a simple recipe!! But, yes. That sugar/water spray probably had a lot to do with the softness & hold lasting so long. Anyway, maybe next time you use that foam, immediately follow it with a sugar spray after putting on a water-based cream over the mousse & see if that helps hold the definition & reduce frizz.

That cop better hopes the guy doesn't cause damage or worse to others since he felt it necessary to let him go without impounding the car or taking other actions...

haha which foam did you use? All foams aren’t meant to wash n go. It’s defiently a different look than using a leave in, gel or cream.
i used deva curl! i usually use it with a leave in and my hair comes out amaing but by itself it dried out my hair
Okay, so some foams are better with leave ins lol this Shea moisture defiently could have used one.

They cut it down to 5.1 oz as opposed to the 8.3 oz or whatever I had in my hand in the video. But, it is definitely still sold. Now, as far as that man 🙄🙄🙄 he was a piece of work. Yeah, girl! Denise Rivera No! We hoped for that. That police officer had ALLLLL the information on that report. We were so shocked. We were thinking that man would find a friend to “run” my plates (though I know that’s illegal)!but he was making this big showing of writing down my license plate number before the police officer arrived. He could have saved himself all that trouble because that officer just handed over all the business. It was crazy. 😳
